Clear Symptoms Completely Dismissed: No Diagnosis, No Treatment…read more I saw Dr. Monica Mannan when I was 19 in college for primary amenorrhea -- I had never had a period in my life -- along with insulin resistance, and other classic pcos symptoms. I was worried and didn't know what was wrong, and I paid privately because insurance would not cover the visits. Dr. Mannan ordered extensive testing, including large blood panels (around 10 vials in one draw), urine tests, screening for Cushing's, a pelvic ultrasound, and more. After all of that, she told me my hormones were "normal," said she didn't know what was wrong, and suggested the NIH. No clear referral was provided, no diagnosis was made, and no treatment options were offered. For a young patient with obvious symptoms, the lack of follow-through or basic clinical care was shocking. A few years later an OB-GYN diagnosed PCOS almost immediately and started treatment that finally initiated my first menstrual cycle. That was medically important because going many years without menstruation increases endometrial cancer risk, something that was never addressed during my care with Dr. Mannan. I am now older and still upset about this experience and the lack of PCOS awareness from an endocrinologist. I lost years dealing with symptoms that should have been treated much earlier. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this doctor.

I found the receptionist quite pleasant, not so much Dr. Mennen. During my visit the Dr. was on a…read morephone call and seemed very distracted. She had not reviewed my records I submitted and I had to repeat myself several times. I completed a very detailed questionnaire and she did not address most of the issues I had indicated on the questionnaire. I found the Dr. very unsympathetic and feel she downplayed my concerns. The only advice she gave me was to stop worrying and don't cook my oatmeal so long, what!!!! I had to sit and listen to her dictate the appointment into a computer. She barely said goodbye. I would not recommend this Dr.

From the first meeting I had with Dr. Possner, I knew things would be vastly different and that I had found someone that would have a profound impact on my health. My first appointment was the longest time I had ever spent with a doctor. My appointment was 2 hours and Dr. Possner had fully reviewed my medical records and engaged me in thoughtful conversation about my medical history. I left my initial appointment with a feeling of empowerment over my health that I had never really felt before. Little did I know that the impact of having Dr. Possner as my doctor would happen so quickly. I was on vacation and had an acute UTI. It was after business hours, but I was able to call the office and get the on call doctor that happen to be Dr. Possner. I walked him through my symptoms and he immediately called in a prescription for me. Because he had such knowledge of my history it was easy for us to communicate and talk through my symptoms. He checked on me via email through the client portal several times over the next couple of days to ensure I was ok. The fact that I was in a remote part of a different state and I was able to call and speak with the doctor saved me stress and the hassle of finding an urgent care to go to. He has made several recommendations to other specialists and doctors, all of whom have turned out to be amazing. His referral goes a long way with each specialist I have scheduled an appointment with. I can't recommend Dr. Possner enough; he's a great listener, thoughtful, caring, kind and you can tell he truly loves what he is doing. His follow through is simply amazing.

Dr. G is one of the most amazing people I have ever had treat me…read more Unfortunately, the mismanagement of the front office, the unresponsiveness of responding or sending blood work orders, and the over all feeling the front office is incompetent and lazy I had to find another endocrinologist. Phones are NOT answered. Portal messages are NOT answered. Emails are NOT answered. The telephone service they have leads you to press all these buttons to either disconnect you or send you to a voicemail that is NEVER replied to. The doctor deserves 10 stars. You need a real office manager and you need to get rid of everyone there and start over.

They don't respond to portal messages, they don't answer their phones. If and when I finally get through they say the computers are broken. Huh? For over a month. I've sent so many friends and coworkers to this practice. No more. Time to switch. Last week I was supposed to have a telemedicine appointment. I confirmed in the portal. Got email confirmation. No link. I called and sent messages but nothing. Luckily, the doctor called because I didn't show up so I could talk to her. She said she had no idea what is going on up front but would have them call me. Nope, didn't happen.

I've been going to this office for nearly 10 years, and have seen a number of different doctors…read more Dr. Juarbe has been the only one I've had a problem with, and it went 1 step too far for me. We've longed disagreed about the dosage of one of my meds. I tell him about the negative effects different dosages have on me, and ask him to adjust it accordingly, but he just looks at the lab tests and usually changes the dose in the opposite direction of what I've asked. And my state gets worse. During my last visit I was again in bad shape from the previous dosage change. I told him I need to be back to one of my previous doses; he just looked at the lab reports and suggested a change in the opposite direction. That's bad, but when I asked what the dangers were with the dose I was asking (which is well within dosages I've been on from other doctors in the practice) he just rattled off terms I didn't understand and couldn't catch. When I then asked what the risks of those would be, he said "there will be a risk". Totally useless information. I'm giving 3 stars because I don't have any problems with the other medicines he prescribes me. But this is a medicine I need to stay alive, so it's important to me. Lab work is important, but it doesn't tell the doctor about the side effects a medicine is having. And to blow-off a patient's questions is just inexcusable. Hopefully, the practice will get an additional doctor soon who treats the patients, not the lab results.

The staff here is very professional and courteous and friendly. The doctor really trying to help…read morewith your concerned and address your concern professionally.
