His whole practice is patient-centric where the patient's need definitely come first. His consultations will be missed!

My condition was getting worse. Other endocrinologists were unable to help and all of their effort was to constantly change my medications without any explanation and no results. I always felt rushed during my doctor visits with them especially after having had to wait in the waiting room for long periods, which was very inconvenient and useless.  Dr. Tashko is one of the very few doctors I know who is extremely passionate about his profession. He takes time to make sure all my questions are answered. He works with me to address my health concerns and makes sure I understand my course of treatment and action. He makes sure we are on the same page and understanding. He takes his time to explain the prescriptions and their side-effects, how they work, and the science behind them. He discusses several options, the outcome of each, and which best works with my lifestyle for the best result. I have NEVER seen a doctor who cared so much. He always prints out handouts for me to take home and he directs me to related articles and resources to educate me on my health condition. Hands down, Dr. Tashko is one of the best doctors and I'm so blessed to have met him and have him as my endocrinologist. After having two babies back to back in 2018 and 2019 I had gained a lot of weight and my A1C went up to 7.0. Thanks to Dr. Tashko I lost 36 lbs and dropped my A1C down to 5.0. This is the best I've ever felt about my health and physical appearance. I would also like to add that his staff is very friendly, respectful, and responsive. I always get a respond within an hour (on business hours) no matter if my inquiry is administrative or medical related. I highly recommend him!

She can seem distracted by her bedside manner of speaking at her computer which is transcribing her words. If you can get her to be undistracted she will talk and explain and readily admit if she is not expert in an "area". I do think her main focus is diabetics. I am seeing her for my Hypoactive thyroid and will continue to do so. Her office help is nice but not always very helpful and sometimes one of them seems overwhelmed. And, yes I have also had problems with getting someone to answer the phone. I think their systems break down alot. If you have the patience to put up with these things than I recc her.

Clear Symptoms Completely Dismissed: No Diagnosis, No Treatment…read more I saw Dr. Monica Mannan when I was 19 in college for primary amenorrhea -- I had never had a period in my life -- along with insulin resistance, and other classic pcos symptoms. I was worried and didn't know what was wrong, and I paid privately because insurance would not cover the visits. Dr. Mannan ordered extensive testing, including large blood panels (around 10 vials in one draw), urine tests, screening for Cushing's, a pelvic ultrasound, and more. After all of that, she told me my hormones were "normal," said she didn't know what was wrong, and suggested the NIH. No clear referral was provided, no diagnosis was made, and no treatment options were offered. For a young patient with obvious symptoms, the lack of follow-through or basic clinical care was shocking. A few years later an OB-GYN diagnosed PCOS almost immediately and started treatment that finally initiated my first menstrual cycle. That was medically important because going many years without menstruation increases endometrial cancer risk, something that was never addressed during my care with Dr. Mannan. I am now older and still upset about this experience and the lack of PCOS awareness from an endocrinologist. I lost years dealing with symptoms that should have been treated much earlier. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this doctor.

Bloodwork was also tested by another doctor who found my levels way out of range - and suggested I ask my endocrinologist to adjust meds which I did. She again - required an appointment. Even though I had bloodwork results sent to her. And the next opening was 4 weeks out. So living with extremely high levels for that long unnecessarily is pretty bad. Despite the office making me take a third test that confirmed the exact same results, I was sent to a hematologist over an unrelated red flag on the labs. The hematologist confirmed everything was completely normal, stating there was no medical reason for the referral and that I should be treated directly by Dr. Verma. However, when I returned, Dr. Verma demanded another round of blood work and ultimately refused to treat me. This office completely wasted my time, money, and energy. Find another endocrinologist who actually cares about her patients.
