Special shoutout to the CWC online "portal," which gives you the idea that you're completing forms…read morein the 21st century, but actually operates like some of my other small practice doctors who ask me to extensively verify all my information every time I come in. I also agree that you can't really schedule an appointment via the portal because the portal doesn't connect to your doctor's schedule in any way, so it's just making a phone call with extra steps. The front desk WILL call you and they will offer appointments at extremely inconvenient times. So, while I agree with the other reviewers to a certain extent that the admin practices of this office are uniformly horrible, I would also like to give a shoutout to various doctors I've seen at the practice who have also been absolute garbage: * Dr. Norman: a surgeon who had to try two times to properly insert a copper IUD (for anyone who's had this done: you know how much that would suck) and then cut the strings too short so that I've had to have ultrasounds since then (the first one just a year or so after his "expert" insertion) to determine if it's still in place. Recently, I've discovered I can't get it removed in the standard way so I'm going to have to pay to have surgery to get it out. Although the current practitioner I saw at CWC assured me that insurance would cover -- yes, I understand and I also understand how coinsurance works in addition to the money I've already spent on the ultrasounds. If I didn't have insurance I wouldn't be able to afford to get this resolved. * Dr. DeQuattro: who I went to after my very non-pregnant self was producing milk under the delightful pressure of a mammogram. She ordered an additional mammogram and a breast ultrasound and told me that since it wasn't breast cancer it was just down to whether it "bothered" me or not. This was in 2020. * Dr. Munsen: Shoutout to her since I did happen mention the unfounded lactation in passing (remember, I was told that it was just a nuisance and not a real problem). She performed a blood test and said I should go see an endocrinologist. As it turns out, it was a small tumor on my pituitary gland. This was in 2022 so I burned 2 years not doing anything due to Dr. DeQuattro's "guidance." Since then, she's been more focused on telling me about her vacation plans and every so often casually recommending a hysterectomy. I've asked her several times why she's recommending such an extreme surgery and she's never given me a straight answer but, hey, if you've got doctor money go on those world tours I guess. On the whole, I'm sure there are great doctors in this practice. There sort of have to be on balance because CWC is gobbling up all the providers in the area. I didn't care for that when CVS did it and I didn't care for that when My Eye Doctor did it. Caveat emptor.

Don't even try to make an appointment with this office for the future. I had been going to this…read moreoffice since 1975 and loved my doctors but my experience with the office staff yesterday was horrendous. Completely rude and incompetent office staff and antiquated appointment scheduling system. It took me four months of frequent phone calls to be able to make an appointment for my sem-annual checkup. Traffic delayed me 5 minutes for the time they gave me for my appointment, I had even pre-registered/certified online before the appointment to have all the "paperwork" filled out, so they bump me out 2 and 1/2 months as a new patient. I'm NOT a new patient, they have the appointment down for 15 minutes earlier than what I was told the time was for, and because some incompetent person entered me as a new patient appointment, the time required for the bumped-out appointment is far longer than necessary so it can't be squeezed in for an earlier date. I am NOT a new patient. I am 76 years old; my record goes back to at least 1975; and it shouldn't take 6 to 9 months to make an appointment for a followup checkup. In any other doctor's office, if my doctor says "See me back in 4 months, or 6 months, or a year." you can go out to the front desk and make that follow-up appointment. But not with this office. They make you call in every 2 to 3 weeks for four months before they can bring up the calendar in their "system" in order to make an appointment. In order to make an appointment for the end of November or early December, I started calling in August getting responses: "call back in three weeks to get an appointment in November". Three weeks later, it is "call back at the end of September." Then "call back at the end of October and MAYBE we can see November then". At the end of October, it is "call back mid November". Finally, in mid November, I am able to just barely get squeezed in for a Dec. 27 appointment. And now they bump me out two more months. How come they can see their calendar two months out to push me out even further when they couldn't see the calendar four months in advance back in August or even a month in advance in October? When I stated I am NOT a new patient, they were able to bring it in three weeks but not until February 2! They don't care about serving established patients. They especially don't give a fig about caring for elderly patients for their regular checkup. Don't bother trying to see them--their office is incapable of modern calendar appointment scheduling and their office staff is completely lacking in ability to look at patient records and handle making appropriate dates to be seen.
