Meaning he would sit with you, go over your entire medical history, and listens to all your concerns (you wont encounter a dozen of medical assistants who basically act as your doctor using the owner's "MD" title) Heads up, he is a perfectionist, meaning he would spend as much as needed time with each patient, and considering not every patient's condition is the same, he might be running behind, and there might be some wait. But trust me, he is well worth the wait!

She is thorough, personable and extremely knowledgeable. I see her 2-3 times a year. Some other reviewers have rightfully noted some challenges with the support she gets from her office staff. Some staff are extraordinary others make it clear that you are a bother to them and don't bother to follow up on issues. Dr. Agrawal recently announced that she will be starting a new practice and I imagine that many of those issues will be addressed.

And that was true during that time. But something changed significantly as she transitioned to a sort of direct primary care practice and functional medicine practice. The practice seemed more impersonal. For example she tried to direct me away from monitoring my liver scores when I started taking statins. Although she had previously had the position that medications always have risks in promoting alternative medicine considerations and I had told her of my brother's death from non alcoholic cirrhosis due unmonitored prescription of cholesterol medication she tried to talk me out of the monitoring. At one point I had told her I didn't want to die from cirrhosis her reply was that there were worse ways to die.

I was feeling too sick to try to sit in an ER and the house call from him saved the day and the entire trip. He took a careful medical history, and spent the time to listen as well as inform us of the diagnosis and the options. He prescribed the ear drops and medication that ensured I felt better within a few hours so that I was able to be present for our daughter and heal. He also helped us come up with the right decision not to fly until a few days later than planned to help heal the ear and bronchitis. I wish there was a doctor like him in the Bay Area!
