Long waits to see the doctor. I waited for two hours on two occasions for shots for my infant. I had billing problems with them

In one elderly patient I'm aware of who complained of shoulder pain and progressive weight loss, they were so focused on his weight "improvements" (which were unintentional) that Dr. Brodsky never ordered imaging, and after several visits that only addressed the results of the products they were selling him, the family finally convinced the patient to go to urgent care for imaging. He turned out to have metastatic cancer that had infiltrated his lung, and he died soon after. Do NOT see this doctor. The racket he has with his wife is one of the most unethical and unscrupulous medical practices imaginable and he should be investigated by the medical board.

His primary purpose is care for the patient and makes himself available even on vacation. He does not take insurance because he treats the patient quickly and in the best way possible without cutting corners; that is what I want when I am in pain or too sick to care for my family. Over the years Dr. Brodsky has quickly diagnosed and treated several ailments. The office staff is marvelous; they are friendly and efficient. This doctor is a gem - I travel 30-45 minutes from another state because I trust and respect him as a knowledgeable and extraordinary physician who keeps all of us in good health!

If I could give Dr. Rubin TEN stars, I would. I have been seeing Dr. Rubin for a number of years…read more When my blood pressure medicine stopped working, my primary physician prescribed a very expensive medicine that CVS would not cover completely and also did not work. I struggled with another cardiologist who did tests and did not send the results to my doctor and would not return my calls. NOT COOL! My functional medical doctor in Chevy Chase recommended Dr. Rubin who was in the same building as her practice. Dr. Rubin did a full exam and ascertained why my original medication had stopped working, which was giving me pounding in my chest. Dr. Rubin, being the wizard that he was, pinned down why the old medication was performing the way that it was and added an additional medication. We had to experiment with a few medications and came up with one that did not give me bad side effects, and I have been taking both medications for a number of years. These are older medications which cost $5 per 90-day supply, not hundreds of dollars which I had been paying for the medication from my PCP. Recently, I started having side effects from the 2nd medication and left a message for Dr. Rubin. I couldn't believe it when he called me a few hours later while on vacation on France! WHO DOES THAT??? DR. RUBIN DOES!!! He took me off of the medication on a test basis and I will be in touch with him in two weeks. Dr. Rubin had been a PCP and treats the entire person using a wide range of skills to treat a patient. If you are looking for the best cardiologist in Maryland, give Dr. Rubin a call! NOTE: In response to patients who were upset about Dr. Rubin not taking your insurance, he only accepts Medicare. If you have other insurance, he only charges $100 . . . they work with you and charge a small fee for life saving care. Do not avoid due to a small bill for treatment . . . his care is worth the price, given that other doctors who may accept your insurance, did me so much harm! would rather be healthy than worry about a small insurance bill. Do not fool around with your cardiac health!

Second, I…read morehave Care First Blue Cross and Dr. Rubin is listed as a provider on the CardioCare web site which states the group takes this insurance. The web site even lists a different physician as someone who does not take all insurance with no mention of Dr. Rubin who it turns out does not take any private insurance. Lastly, there was no mention that he did not take my insurance when I made an appointment or when I checked in at the office and they took my copay. Overall, extremely disappointed in the care provided and the misrepresentation on the web site and in the office regarding Dr. Rubin not participating in my insurance.
