I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room before being called back & she's very thorough in her exam (she doesn't try to rush you in & out like some medical cattle call). I was so pleasantly surprised by the fact that SHE actually returned my phone call, not a nurse or assistant - Dr. DiFresco herself (and she got back to me in 10 minutes!). No other physician has ever called me back themselves, let alone within minutes of calling. She's originally from the same neighborhood in Brooklyn that I'm from, so between her sweet, calming nature & her Brooklyn accent, I felt like I was right back home with my mom taking care of me again. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. DiFresco & I'm so grateful that I found her (for those interested, this is an all female practice).

A Dr. Patel emailed me saying she was filling in for Wexler and would send a script into CVS Specialty for me. That was over a week ago, and I still have no medicine because CVS Specialty claims Dr. Patel sent them an incomplete script. I sent a message regarding this to Dr. Patel, and all I got was an out of the office response. So, the circus starts all over again. I am disappointed with MedStar to allow such poor care to be acceptable. Their doctors are overworked, and I wonder if Dr. Wexler even has a staff based on the nonresponses I've received for so long. It is unbelievable ill people must go through so much just to get a prescription. If you want a doctor who responds to your needs, look for someone who cares enough to read his e-mails and has a staff who calls back.

It's not him, it's the staff that reads his emails. Unfortunately, what happens is a lot of messages have the same general questions. How you interact with them and how friendly you are will make them remember you when you call or send a message.

I finally got a live person who read me a used car salesman spiel about this nationwide network with the finale, drum roll please, Dr. Scanlon and MDVIP requires a $1,500.00 annual fee for the privilege of having her as your doctor! Which is of course not covered by insurance. MDVIP is the McDonalds of doctors except with a $1,500 annual fee for the privileged of being able to buy a Big Mac.

With medical care becoming so impersonal and like a manufacturing plant, it is refreshing to know that we have an advocate who knows who we are, cares about us, and whom we consider a friend (and we did not know Dr. Possner before we signed up with his practice). He has also played a critical role in referring us and getting us in to see great specialists who, without his help, we would have had to wait months.

A minor but needless frustration: callers are told that appointments can be scheduled online. This is not actually possible, as one discovers only after wasting about 20 minutes trying. More seriously, during my sleep study, the technician insisted on waking me at 5:00 a.m. because he wanted to go home. This rule requires patients to fall asleep before midnight if both portions of the study--with and without CPAP--are to be completed. According to the records, I fell asleep at 11:58 p.m., yet the full study was still not completed. I must therefore undergo the study again. Whether I will be charged for this second attempt remains to be seen. In any case, because of long wait times, my diagnosis and treatment have been delayed by multiple months.

I don't know what the health effects (including negative) are but I've been trying to take it when I remember and get more sun. The parking garage is expensive. Dr. Musher engages in unfair and deceptive trade practices in violation of the Maryland Consumer…read moreProtection Act and unauthorized release of medical information in violation of HIPAA law. On 6/7/19 I paid $185.00 for an office visit because, although Dr. Musher is a network provider with United Healthcare, he wanted to take enough payment in case I had not met my deductible. On 8/17/19 my wife (under whose name his office staff had mistakenly filed the insurance claim) called and spoke with the office staff about an EOB showing that I was responsible for only $51.23 and that Dr. Musher owed me a refund of $133.77. UnitedHealthcare had informed me that Dr. Musher was paid electronically on 6/26/19 and was in breach of his network-provider contract by failing to refund me within 30 days. The office staff promised a refund within the week. When a refund that did not arrive as promised, my wife called on 9/5/19 and spoke to Dr. Musher himself. Dr. Musher solicited my wife's agreement that I subscribe to his concierge service. Pressuring her, he told her I had health issues for which he had advised follow-up care. His disclosing my private medical information without my authorization violated HIPAA law. Moreover, this high-pressure marketing of a concierge service in an attempt to credit the $133.77 to concierge subscription fees instead of issuing me a refund check was inappropriate, unprofessional, and unfair and deceptive in violation of the Maryland Consumer Protection Act. I received my refund, but only after two telephone requests, one-and-a-half months from the time of the first request, and two-and-a-half months from the time that my health insurance paid Dr. Musher. In sum, Dr. Musher engages in unfair and deceptive trade practices relating to billing and to inappropriate and unprofessional solicitation for his concierge service, as well as unauthorized disclosure of private medical information. I do not recommend this doctor for anyone.

Had my inital visit with Dr Morrison today, he was very good in finding out about my health history…read moreand who I am. He made the offer of what I wanted to do, just an inital meeting, a partical phyical or a fullout physical. I choose to do the inital meeting and partial phyiscal to see what he came up with. Some issues that had been bothering me for many years he quickly identified (other doctors I have been to never take the time to find out these issues. So next step is to do some more research, an Xray and another appointment. I would say he cares more about the patient than the insurance company that would be paying him.
