I'm split on how to rate this practice. I generally had a great experience however I had a little…read morehiccup getting ahold of a prescription that was a little frustrating. The doctor was to write a prescription for me to get later in the day after my procedure. He said he was going to call that into the pharmacy. After a couple hours being home (giving some time for it to be called in), I could not find where he had called in the script. I contacted the office via phone and email but didn't get ahold of anyone immediately. When I was subsequently contacted, I was informed that I had not supplied a pharmacy. That took me by surprise for several reasons. First, I don't recall being asked about my pharmacy that day. Second, I provided that exact information during registration for the procedure a few weeks prior. Third, as they are part of the INOVA system, they have access to my records in Epic, which already states my preferred pharmacy. Fourth, on top of that, once they knew they couldn't call in a script to a pharmacy I wasn't informed of the problem. Instead of resting like I was supposed to, I had to chase down a prescription. Beyond that, the procedure was great. The staff were great! Dr. Kevin O'Conner was my surgeon. A+ there. The practice really deserves the 5 stars. The thing about the prescription hurt the experience though. That's such an individual issue that I can't hold it against the practice. Points 2 and 3 above are frustrations that exist at all practices.

I had to go in person today to Cornwall to complain and couldn't make an appointment for another month. Sorry, but this is not the correct way a medical practice should be run notwithstanding excellent doctors. They should be pissed at how this negatively affects them! I do not recommend this medical practice at all. Eric Wilmeth 703-687-2341

I would strongly encourage anyone who is seeking a vasectomy to seriously reconsider. Do your…read moreresearch and fully understand that what you will hear from this practice is a misleading representation of stats and outcomes regarding the risks of this seemingly common procedure. I waited over two years to post this review as I know I can't change my decision, but perhaps I can help others learn from my research. I had a vasectomy done in late 2018 and months later started developing Post Vasectomy Pain Syndrome, a condition I was not even aware existed until after the procedure was done. At first these guys were great, they ordered ultrasounds, made time to hear my concerns but once the pain continued and no obvious answers were found, I was referred out for pain management and that was that. Two years later am still experiencing ongoing daily pain that will likely be lifelong despite a reversal earlier this year. I was willing to pay the premium price tag for the individualized attention of the practice, but if you are part of the 15% of men who develop any longterm complications from the procedure--you are on your own because they'll act like PVPS doesn't exist. Welcome to Hell. PVPS affects upward of 15% of men according to a 2016 study. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4854072/) The consequences are lifelong and very difficult to pinpoint. Their consent form is a laughably thin single page document which cites the possibility of some post-operative pain and complication, but PVPS and lifelong pain is mentioned exactly zero times. These guys are great salesmen. You walk in thinking, "It's simple, quick, effective, and has no impact on anything other than fertility and this is white glove service. False. Nowhere does it mention the well documented possibility of PVPS which has been known for decades. Had I been presented with true outcome risks and a true understanding of the longterm impact I would have walked out the door, and you should too. As Warren Buffett famously said, "Never ask a barber if you need a haircut" and never let a urologist sell you on a vasectomy.

I hope you never have to experience the pain of a kidney stone…read more This is where you go to get help...they ease the pain...educate you...care for you. This place was recommended by my primary care Physician, Dr Faltemier. When you trust your Doctor...this is what you do. I had the best experience with Dr Pruna who is highly experienced in his field. It's unfortunate that so many other Yelpers had a not so positive experience. My only complaint is the copius amounts of redundant paperwork which I provided yet continued to have the same exact questions asked throughout my process there. Are you willing to pay a little more for better quality healthcare?

If you try to call anyway, expect to sit on hold for an hour -- and even then there's no guarantee anyone will answer. Even before the transition, the wait times were incredibly long. Frequently over 30 minutes. Appointment access is extremely limited. Existing patients are running about three weeks out for routine visits, and in-office procedures can be pushed 30 days or more. If an urgent issue comes up, you're more likely to end up in the ER than be accommodated here in any reasonable timeframe. Front desk operations -- particularly in Suite 150 -- have been consistently frustrating. On more than one occasion, appointments couldn't be located, and conversations around insurance felt argumentative rather than helpful. There also seemed to be reluctance to work with Veterans Administration healthcare as a primary coverage source, which only added to the difficulty of coordinating care. Once checked in, patients are frequently kept waiting 30-45 minutes beyond their scheduled appointment time, further compounding the practice's broader access and scheduling challenges. From a care standpoint, visits with multiple providers often felt inconclusive, with symptoms leading to more tests and more follow-ups but little diagnostic clarity or direction. Because of the ongoing access, administrative, and care concerns, I have left this group in order to obtain at least adequate and timely medical care -- something this practice has been unable to provide. Also worth noting: their standard online review responses tend to be scripted, directing patients to contact an office manager while citing privacy policies, rather than addressing broader service concerns publicly -- which doesn't inspire much confidence that systemic issues are being resolved.
