I received a call where my test results were read to me incorrectly -- results that were inconsistent with what was listed in their own online portal. I was given two different sets of wrong information, and when I understandably became upset, the woman on the phone disconnected the call. At no point did I use profanity. Yes, I raised my voice -- but only out of understandable frustration. Of all places, a doctor's office should be able to show empathy toward patients during such vulnerable moments. Shame on you. I sincerely hope these calls are recorded, because if they are, leadership should listen carefully to the cold, blanket, and heartless way your staff speaks to patients. On top of that, it was completely inappropriate that the doctor who ordered the tests tried to downplay potential positive results, brushing them off as "not a big deal." That was not her place. As a patient, it is my right to have my results taken seriously and to receive appropriate, compassionate guidance -- not to be minimized or dismissed. You have no idea what someone is going through outside your office walls, and to be treated with such dismissiveness and cruelty by people we pay to trust with our health is appalling. You read me my test results without offering any follow-up guidance, reassurance, or even basic human kindness. You were mean, cold, and unprofessional.

This lack of empathy and disregard for patient care is unacceptable--especially when it involves essential HBP medication. Denying a refill without a valid reason or proper notice is not only unprofessional but potentially dangerous. I expected responsible care and basic respect, but this experience has shown me that Patient First (Leesburg, VA) falls far short. I mentioned to them that I'll be returning as soon as my health insurance is reinstated, and still I just had a negative response. I've been on this medication consistently for the last four months, which was prescribed initially at this location, and depend on it to manage my blood pressure.
