I had to use this location and see Dr. Zee for a weekend visit because it was more convenient than heading into the city. Parking is simple enough at the garage across from the building. Dr. Zee was punctual and very thorough in both his assessment and the follow-up testing he recommended. The office was spacious, clean, and well-lit. If this is an office close to you I would not hesitate to take advantage of it. And if it's during the weekend and you have to use the Beltway traffic shouldn't be too bad. read more

I'm 64 and every year they request an annual physical. They never did an ekg until I requested. Never did a PSA test for prostate. Did. It do a cholesterol screen or an A1C. It's a waste of money to belong to this if they are not going to do the basic tests for an annual physical to keep you healthy. Totally disappointed in this place. Had to go and get a urologist for prostate and cardiologist for heart screens. My old primary used to do all of this but retired. read more

COVID-19 REVIEW I was long overdue for a physical so I reluctantly decided to leave my hobbit hole to visit the outside world for a bit. In COVID times, One Medical Group has really stepped above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that patients feel safe and sound as possible. My visit with Dr. Lim was short and sweet but I still feel like I got the personal care I needed and she answered all of my questions (which I had a lot of since pregnancy during a pandemic is quite interesting). I liked how I could get all my bloodwork done in one spot and they even used fashion band aids to brighten up our day (it totally worked). Every transaction I had was smooth and quick. The office was immaculate and they scheduled patients so the room was never overbooked (I only ran into one other person while I was there). They also have an app that allows us to message directly with our doctors and nurses, plus a video chat feature that was especially helpful this summer when we had questions about COVID but didn't want to go into an office for a full checkup. I am so glad that a membership to One Medical Group is part of my company health benefits (and even if it wasn't I would and have paid out of pocket). read more

So far, so good! Had the first visit as a consultation with Dr. Susan Kim. Since that first visit with Dr. Kim, the $199 annual fee paid for itself. I was supposed to have a physical a month after that first appointment, but I tested positive for Covid the Friday before. A phone call and discussion with a triage nurse got me to a nurse practitioner who looked at my medication list and got some lab results from me, and was able to prescribe me Paxlovid, which significantly reduced the effects of Covid and the time that I recovered. Since then, I've had two visits. One with Dr. Kim for a physical and one with a nurse practitioner for something else. Had lab work there and received the results promptly the next day with a message. Communication has been great via email. Haven't needed to call too many times, which makes life easy. One Medical web app works for the purposes that I need. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a new practice. You can see any doctor in the practice and all of the other One Medical practices around the area, as well as One Medical practices in other cities around the country. I recently found out that my employer offers a One Medical subscription as part of our benefits package, and I rushed to sign up. I'd been considering getting one in the past anyway, as I'd heard the best things about their super convenience and great customer service, and I'm happy to report that thus far in my dealings with them that has all rung true! The One Medical app and website are very easy to use, it was super quick and simple to book a same-day virtual appointment with Dr. Julie Lim, and she was both friendly and thorough in my initial assessment. She was super prompt for the appointment, and honestly everything went incredibly smoothly. You can pay any bills that come back after insurance through the app as well, and they keep a thorough record of your history, medications, etc, right there as well. Easy as pie! I'm really happy to have made the switch to One Medical, and I look forward to the day when I'm able to actually visit their Tysons location in person to see what an office visit is like. For now, though, virtual appointments are totally fine with me! read more

I haven't had a physical in probably 10 years because my mom stopped making my doctor's appointments for me as I entered adulthood (#truestory). Even though I had health insurance benefits through my employers, I never fully took advantage of them. Since I'm getting older, I've come to realize that there's no greater wealth than health. I had a pleasant experience with Dr. Lim and she made me feel comfortable during my visit. She answered all of my questions and I didn't feel rushed throughout my experience. The Tysons office is in a newer building shared with other businesses (Fogo De Chao, EY, etc.) with plentiful parking in their garage (unfortunately, they cannot validate your parking). The office itself is very modern and clean, and the reception desk was very friendly. Although there's a concierge fee, the convenience of the service makes it worth it. The services include little to no wait time, the ability to chat with a practitioner through their mobile app (including the ability make/modify appointments), make a visit with any of their offices throughout the nation if you're out of town, in-house lab work, and video visits! I'm all about efficiency so those are all pluses in my book. read more

I see Dr. Tim Do and I swear I've NEVER had such a civilized medical experience. -Clean bright offices -Friendly staff at reception -Dr comes to get you in the lobby ON TIME. Even early if you are there early. When I need him, I send him a message through the app and he responds unless he's on vacation, in that case the other people respond. I cannot say enough positive things about this location; I've been a patient for just under a year and have been here a few times (physical, blood work, etc.). I'm in and out pretty quickly, always greeted with a smile and the doctor is fabulous. Their mobile app makes ordering prescriptions so easy as well. I've also used the app to reach out with questions about various things (most recently about a tick bite) and I always receive prompt service. They accept most insurances as well. Note: the parking situation is my only complaint (you do pay by the hour to park in the attached indoor garage) but it's worth it because of the above! read more

Not impressed... On August 18th, I attempted to call the Chevy Chase office, and was on hold.  I mean forever.  I attempted to set up a virtual/Zoom visit, which was supposed to connect me with MaryB at 4:10, but no one came on line and your system disconnected me after 15 minutes.  I sent a screeming message through the portal, and was called back by an admin person -- turns out she was in Atlanta? -- and while she was very understanding and full of "sparkle", she seemed essentially useless.  I advsd her of the medical reasons for my call, and the problems getting through the labyrinth systems.  (Among other issues, I advised her that the system on-hold music is dissonant and distorting... Apparently no one in the office has ever called in and listened to it?  Curious!)  She eventually connected with Melanie Cruze at about 4:40(?), who was able to help me with my poison ivy.  PHEW!! Bottom line... The change from Potomac Physicians Assocs. to One Medical was supposed to fix the non-medical failings of PPA -- the non-answered phones, the late or missed appointments, the slow staff with bad-attitudes.  So far, I am seeing a whole lot of marketing and sparkle from One Medical, but not a lot of fixes.  Your computer systems don't work or are slow. (N.B., I don't need to hear your ads about what is available on the website; if I am calling, I have already ruled out using the website!) * Here's an idea... Is there a ph# that we can call will bypass the bulls**t and get me into the medical office?  I called 301-942-2212, the local office main tel#, but that sends me into the cue.  Who knows where the calls to the 800# go to?  * If I am in need of a doctor or other medical personnel, I don't want to be on hold listening to bad recorded ads... this looks really, really bad for your business, let alone your medical professional office!! read more

I would give this practice 6 stars if Yelp would let me. Unfortunately, the group stopped accepting my health insurance in December and I am unable to go back. I have considered switching off of my parent's health insurance just to be able to still use their service. I have recommended anyone and everyone to go see Julia Lim. She is kind, listens and I feel fine being very open with her. When I needed an MRI last year, but was unable to do it at a doctor's office due to an allergy, the staff called around to every emergency room to see who would accept my insurance doing the non-emergent MRI. You are able to get same day appointments and I have never waited more than 5 minutes to see the doctor. They also do blood work right in the office. Not only were Dr. Lim and her staff amazing, the platform of One Medical Group should be adopted by all practices. If you download the app, you can schedule appointments, renew prescriptions, FaceTime doctors (within minutes), fill out a survey for basic medical problems without paying a copay. This is all covered under the annual fee, which I might add is not very expensive. I would pay more than double to be able to use One Medical again. Every friend I have referred has felt the same way. This is the first yelp review I have ever written, but I am so passionate about Dr. Lim and my experiences with One Medical Group, I had to write one. I would be ecstatic if they started accepting BCBS again. read more

I have used One Medical in the past and got a new membership this year - and the membership has been completely not worth its price, and I have found it's service to be not to the level I would expect when I am paying $200 for it every year. Even being a One Medical member, I find myself going to a different physician for most of my medical needs including: - when I need to have lab work done because One Medical's lab hours are so limited, during normal business hours when I am at work, and also do not match the hours of the clinic itself, which is information that is often difficult to find, so I go elsewhere. Once I had to provide a stool sample and it took them several days to order one for me after I messaged them on the app, then when I arrived to provide it I was only notified then that I would have to do the process myself at my own home because they "didn't want to deal with it themselves" in office - which was not told to me ahead of time, and this was right before they were closing for the weekend, further delaying my notification of results because I had to wait till Monday to do it on my own. Once I arrived in their office to provide a urine sample and due to an accident not far from the office I arrived the minute they closed (4:00) - and they turned me away. While I would not expect anyone to stay late and for this last anecdote I did not make a fuss in office because I did arrive after their posted time - is a One Medical membership worth the $200 if this is the kind of treatment you get? - any appointments for sudden medical ailments including a pulled hamstring that I needed a note for work on, fever/ soar throat, COVID testing etc, I have ended up going to other clinics because One Medical's appointments are so hard to make that you have to book out several weeks in advanced and their medical staff are extremely slow to respond, slower than their app claims they will respond by at least 24 hours and often more. - for any prescriptions I have I go to a specialist or sometimes end up going to other doctors who will respond quicker (same delays mentioned occur here as well), of particular note, I have NEVER been able to call One Medical's phone service line without having to wait over 40 minutes (sometimes even over an hour) to get a response. You can see in other reviews this is a constant problem - even if you have a small question - like if they are opened on a Holliday or procedures for getting lab work, etc., you should expect to be on hold for at least an hour, because there is no front desk phone at One Medical's - all traffic is relayed to a national hotline that is clearly understaffed, which is reflective of how little One Medical really feels about its customer service. - of additional note - while most other clinics offer localized and reasonably quick COVID testing, One Medical had limited testing locations in busy areas in town (I would have to travel over 20 miles), and you have to schedule far in advanced - while many other places can test you immediately. My suggestion is not to pay the extra money for a service that is sub optimal - do not get hooked into the One Medical scam. You will end up paying extra money to get the prompt care you need elsewhere anyways. read more

I joined One Medical in 2020. Initially I was very impressed with the care. However, things are different now. I went in for a physical a few months ago. I love my doctor and the staff and received great care. Since then I've received several invoices from billing because my visit was coded as something other than a physical. I was told to speak to the office manager. I have reached out several times but all I get is a virtual front desk. They send messages but I have not heard back from anyone. There is no direct office number and no email address. As a nurse I know how busy the offices get but a little communication goes a long way. I have referred a lot of friends and some family members to one medical but I will definitely not do that again. Disappointing. read more

I can't say enough positive things about One Medical. In a time where health care has only gotten more complex, OM takes out so much of the stress of being proactive about your health and ultimately feeling well. From the same day appointments, digital script refills, and virtual care - it's an incredible service that's worth far more than the $200 annual fee. Unfortunately I switched insurance to CareFirst this year and the company has been in a long argument with OM about their cost of services. OM was very transparent and apologetic about the situation and I genuinely believe they're working to find an amicable solution. I've had to use my out of network benefits for reimbursement but they also recommended I use the free, virtual care for any non-critical needs.The OM quality of care and service ease of use if so superior to anyone else in the area, I really don't mind paying out of network for a couple appointments a year. Specific to the Tyson's location, Dr. Julia Lim is a saint and takes a very global, empathetic approach to patient care. On the support team, Nae at the front desk is always a ray of sunshine and Kimberli in phlebotomy has gone above and beyond any 'lab work expectations' in helping me process a complicated lab order for an outside specialist. 10/10, I'd recommend One Medical to anyone looking for PCP care! read more

One medical is very convenient, but not very good. Espeically if you get one of the NPs. If you need a quick check on something pop in. Be clear the level of care is not great though. Its on par with a CVS minute clinic. Don't come for anything remotely serious. I'll still pop in for a quick cold or something but only if its a long wait at minute clinic. Even for physicals etc. I'd recommend finding a different primary care physician. read more

I decided to give One Medical a try due to the convenience of the app and booking appointments at multiple locations. I wanted to do some last minute screening tests and went to the Typson's Corner location as they had the availability I wanted. The service from beginning to end was very smooth. I didn't get to see a doctor, but I did see a NP named Shuchita Gorrell. She was patient and professional. However, everything went south after I left the office. When I set up my appointment and even during my visit, the idea was that this was a preventative screening since it was just routine, no symptoms. I have done similar tests in my regular family doctor and was always billed as such. However, when I received the bill, it was incorrectly billed as "lab work" as opposed to "preventative" and thus I was asked to pay half a grand for both seeing the doctor and lab works done. I disputed the billing code issue with One Medical billing office several times and the only response I ever got was "we looked into it and that everything was billed correctly". If One Medical doesn't correct the billing code issue, I will file a formal dispute on my bill. If I had known I was going to be charged half a grand on routine preventative tests, I would've just gone to my regular family physician. This follow-up experience and being misled by the NP, left a sour taste in my mouth. I don't think I'll be coming back to One Medical in the future. Every time I go to One Medical, I say a prayer to higher beings that my insurance will always be accepted by OM. When I was searching for a PCP after years of being uninsured, OM was the first and only office that picked up the phone when I called. The convenience is well worth the $200 fee. I never feel judged and Dr Julie Lim at the Tyson's Location is the pinnacle of non-judgmental and friendly doctors. The location is about an easy 10 minute walk from the Tyson's Corner metro and is easy to find on the 3rd level of the building. Great service, great location. read more

I had a terrible experience with One Medical today. When I saw my Dr I requested for my prescriptions to be sent to pharmacy near my home. Not even an hour later I remembered that that specific pharmacy closes sooner than normal pharmacies. I called and email and requested for them to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy so I could pick them up. I spoke to Travis or Trevor (I don't remember his name) and he said that he was going to contact the pharmacy and request the transfer and then call me back. But he never did and then I receive an email stating that after hours requests are processed during the next business day. I'm so surprised that they didn't explained this over the phone and sent a generic email. It clearly shows that their patient's health is not important at all. I'm really frustrated and going to the Dr today was completely useless for me. For sure, my husband and I are going to deactivate and cancel our One Medical accounts because they are not up to the standards of what they proudly use as a selling point. This is all false advertising and it sad that people going through difficult times have to endure situations like this. read more

The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The offices have plenty of parking and are very conveniently located. Very clean and modern offices. Dr. Julia Lim is my doctor. She is excellent, thorough, nice and very personable. She listens to all of your concerns and answers all of your questions thoroughly in terms that you fully understand. She truly cares about her patients and does not rush you at all. My husband has a different doctor with One Medical at Union Station and he will totally happy with our choice to use One Medical as well. Other doctor offices don't even come close to Medical One as to the efficiency, professionalism or team work of doctors and staff, We are thrilled to have found Medical One. read more
