Don't go to this man - go somewhere else where the doctor will actually care. He will literally not listen to you, and will just talk over you the entire time. As all the other bad reviews list, he is a huge narcissist and has the worst bedside manners I've ever had from a doctor. During my colposcopy I brought my fiancé with me and Ayoub just verbally backhanded attacked him the entire time, and saying a bunch of "all men right" to me comments, ABOUT my fiancé who was there supporting me??? that made me so confused and disgusted all at once. He doesn't even remember half the shit you talk about in each visit and it's like he forgets what he is saying or doing each visit when it comes to you and your well being. The amount of money I have been charged from this office is absolutely insane. I initially went here because there was a Nurse Practitioner in the office who I was looking forward to seeing. After my first appointment with her, she left the practice. This should have been my red flag. Everytime I went here, it felt like my concerns were not truly understood or listened to. It felt like every time I went, I was requested to complete tests that seemed irrelevant just so he could charge me money. This is a terrible practice with high turnover rate it seems. I would never trust Dr. Ayoub as my primary gynecologist and am happy to have switched. I got a colposcopy at this office and still question if it was legitimately needed, or they wanted to do the procedure so they could charge me for it. Always questioned the doctor's motives, whether he was giving legitimate medical advice or wanted to charge me the most money possible. I just wanted to thank you again for connecting me with Jack. He found early cervical cancer and my hysterectomy is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 7:30am. He not only found early cancer but he also found scar tissue surged onto my bladder, so he has a urologist with him during surgery. I have a lot to say about this amazing practice. I can tell you with 100% confidence that Dr. Ayoub, Greg Hunanian, Barbie and Brittney are the best team you'll ever find. They are knowledgeable, kind and compassionate, and professional. You can tell they truly care. They return phone calls, explain test results, fit you in for an appointment, and take their time to ease any anxiety you may have. Plus, their office is a one stop shop- there's a lab and ultrasound in the office so you don't have to deal with annoying trips to get blood work or ultrasounds. The office is clean and inviting and has all the latest and great technologies. Further, Dr. A delivered my son and handled my medical complications- he and his team were by my side checking in on me throughout. At first I was a little skeptical because I felt that he rushed through the visits. I had not thought about the fact that at the time he had no help and was seeing so many patients on his own. Since then he's hired new staff an I could totally feel the difference with time. I had gestational diabetes throughout my pregnancy and was hoping for a VBAC, towards the end there I was pretty worried due to the size of baby given to me after a growth scan. Dr. Ayoub talked to me about all the risks and gave me my options. Long story short he let me know that he felt a VBAC was a highly possible for me and I'm glad we went with his advice. FIRST TIME MOMS - BEWARE OF DR AYOUB!!! BEWARE BEWARE!! Dr. Ayoub delivered my first and only child in February 2017 at Stone Springs Hospital. Obstetric care was fine but as soon as delivery time came, he flipped the switch and was a nightmare! Dr Ayoub seems to follow a fast protocol in the delivery room, which means that he will jump to methods like vacuuming and c section much faster than another doctor who might let you labor like a normal person. Dr Ayoub brought up the idea of being induced sometime between my 35th and 37th week appointments. I initially said no, however, during my 38 week cervical exam, Dr Ayoub said that I was at risk of "giving birth at home." He said baby was so low that he was afraid that she was "going to fall out." I was 100% effaced, 3cm dilated with baby at station 1 at my 38th week appointment. Since he was my doctor (and we're supposed to be able to trust our doctors) I followed his medical suggestion and scheduled the induction. What followed is a nightmare forever ingrained in my mind. I was progressing just fine and when he came by to break my water, he told my nurse that he'd like the baby delivered around 2-3pm. I assumed that he was predicting the baby would be born by then based on where she was in the canal so didn't think much of it. Long story short, he only allowed me to push for about 15 MINUTES, ended up using a vacuum 5 times on my poor baby and ultimately forced me into a c-section. It is definitely my impression that Dr Ayoub does not respect his patient's wishes. I told him many times that I'd like to avoid a cesarean and that I would not do an induction if it meant increasing my chances of one. He assured me that an induction would not increase my chances of a cesarean. He misled me and from my discussion with the many nurses at the hospital, it seems that Dr Ayoub regularly forces women into cesarean deliveries. I hope that my review will help someone else avoid the nightmare that I had. If you are looking to avoid a c section, DO NOT SEE DR AYOUB. If you are looking for a cesarean, then he may be perfect for you. read more

I'm updating this review because I'm appalled. My fiancé is in the military and we had to move a couple times within the year due to mandatory relocation. I didn't receive a confirmation call or a confirmation email about an appointment I had made over a year ago and they sent a $50 no show fee to a collections agency that I had to pay....even though I asked kindly to waive the fee since my fiancé and I lived out of state now because we had to move and I received no confirmation or notification....SO NOW, I had to move again and I found a new gynecologist. My new gynecologist wants my previous records from the last few gynecologists I have seen. I have seen all of the other gynecologists way more than I saw Dr. Ayoub and they sent my records with no problem or fee....I saw Dr. Ayoub ONE TIME for a procedure and they charged me $35 just to send my ONE record to my new gynecologist!! I mean, this practice is just rude and they obviously only care about money. So now they have taken $85 from me just so I can leave the practice. Save yourself the stress and money. First off, I'm a guy, so when it comes to this OB/GYN stuff I can't speak; however, I can speak from the guys perspective of an expecting husband and wife. Our experience with Dr. Ayoub was absolutely wonderful. From the time of conception to birth, he was knowledgeable and understanding of our concerns and issues. They have great ultrasound (sonogram?) machines that do both 2D and 3D as well as video. Most insurance companies don't cover the "for your own use" 2D/3D ultrasounds and his prices were very good for the pictures we did receive. He is a very nice gentleman and doctor who really seems to love doing what he does. He made our birthing experience what we wanted it to be and left us feeling like we were in control of the process and never pushed us to anything. read more

I wish I would have left his practice sooner, but I just kept trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. However, he is ultimately a narcissist and a male chauvinist. He refers to females as "honey" and "sweetie" - not sure how he has gotten away with that demeaning behavior for so long. There were multiple issues over my entire pregnancy - mainly around communication. He is very much "my way or the highway" and he does not do a good job explaining things. He just says that he is going with his gut. He does a good job at sucking you in by coming across as though he genuinely cares about the health of you and your baby (which he may truly care) BUT he does not otherwise communicate well at all. Rather than conversing like an adult he just uses scare tactics. After months of going through this, the final straw was a few days before I delivered and he would not do something I asked about nor did he do a good job explaining why he would not meet my request. He again used scared tactics (infection/c-section - although I had no reason to be at risk for a c-section). If he would have just answered my questions with real information and with respect, I may have stayed with his practice. However, I have come to learn more about him and why he only does c-sections and not vaginal deliveries. Warning to those looking to go to him as your OB - do your research before becoming a patient! I wish I would have done more research. As a woman, I have the right to my wishes regarding my health care - especially when pregnant - and he is not the type of doctor to work with you. He won't hear you out as his pride gets in the way. As for the rest of the practice, the nurses/admin staff are very nice (sometimes slow at responding to timely calls or communicating timely test results), but I feel bad for how Dr. Ayoub treats them. The ultrasound tech is really nice and thorough. I always had great conversations with him, but to be transparent, he is a smoker and would smell like secondhand smoke which was unprofressional - especially given he works around pregnant women. read more

I switched to Dr Ayoub when I was 39 weeks pregnant because my current OB was pushing me into a repeat cesarean. Man, do I wish I had been in Dr Ayoub's care from day one! Dr Ayoub is wonderful. He is very professional and has wonderful bedside manner. His office is clean, staff is wonderful, and all of his equipment is up to date and current. He answered every single one of my questions and I felt 100% in charge of my care. Yes, I ended up with a repeat cesarean after going all the way to 42 (!!) weeks, but I never felt pressured into anything I didn't want (unlike with my previous provider). I had a rough time after delivery and Dr Ayoub constantly checked in on me. He explained every single procedure and why they were doing what they were doing. I felt very calm and well taken care of while in his care. My daughter ended up in the NICU (for reasons unrelated to my cesarean) and Dr Ayoub came to see us there on Easter Sunday and to check in on us. He went out of his way to make sure that I could stay there at the hospital with her for another night until she was (finally!) discharged. Bottom line? I recommend him to everyone I know and if I am ever blessed with another baby, he will definitely be my provider. read more

I put off writing this review for a long time, but decided I should post it to help others. I try to never leave negative reviews, but since choosing an OB-GYN is so important, I'm actually going to. I went to Dr. Ayoub for delivery of my second child. I'd had an emergency c-section with my first due to the baby's heart rate dropping, but besides that had labored well. I wanted to attempt a VBAC for my second pregnancy. Dr. Ayoub said he was supportive of that, and my pregnancy was low-risk and uneventful. Fast-forward to my due date: I get a call from one of his receptionists wanting to schedule a c-section. This was the first I'd heard of it, so I asked if the doctor could call me to explain. When he called me back, he proceeded to berate me, talk down to me, and yell at me for 20 minutes for questioning him. I was merely trying to figure out the rationale, since the plan all along had seemingly altered with no discernible reason from my end (baby and I were still totally healthy). He was extremely unprofessional and acted totally affronted that I would have the audacity to want to know why we were doing this. I never did get an explanation. He basically told me either sign the paperwork or go somewhere else. I felt backed up against the wall and completely threatened into having to do what I had been seeking to avoid all along. I was shocked to be treated this way by a doctor, when I just wanted to hear why. I couldn't believe that I saw this Jekyll and Hyde behavior. He got the scheduled c-section he wanted, which as he was sure to point out, "fit nicely between the other two I have scheduled that day". I felt that the ONLY was reason was his convenience, and he didn't care whatsoever about my feelings. I would have never gone to his office in the first place if I had felt it would go that way. At my first post-partum follow up, I mentioned to him that I felt the incision site was getting infected. Part of it was visibly red, swollen, and weeping. It hurt and itched. He argued with me and said "It's incredibly rare for these incisions to get infected." He was dismissive and rude. He would do nothing about it. At the 6 week follow-up, when I said, it is still infected and getting worse (and showed him, and the RN also agreed!), he yelled at me and angrily prescribed antibiotics for the infection he felt I didn't have in the first place! To completely discount the obvious and physical evidence, to act as though it was my fault and I was somehow making it up (?!?!?!) was the worst bedside manner I have ever seen. I felt, and still feel, that his ego was still bruised from me questioning the surprise scheduled c-section, and he was punishing me for that. I completely felt that he gave lip service to being a caring doctor through my pregnancy. He played the act until he held all the cards, and then showed his true colors when it was time for delivery and too late for me to do anything about it. I didn't mind the long wait times at his practice or feeling like the appointments were rushed. But ultimately when I needed him to be rational and supportive, he wasn't. He got the money and delivery he wanted. Lord help you if you question his god-like decrees; he will never get over it. With his credentials, to have such self-esteem issues, is really a red flag. Watch out, ladies, and go elsewhere. read more

Dr Ayoub has been an amazing OBGYN for me. I don't even know where to start. He never rushes me at office visits, which is rare among physicians these days, and always listens to my concerns and answers all my questions. His staff is great as well, which is important, too. He has been a great gynecologist, but even more awesome OB. My labor was incredibly easy and I thank him for it. No tearing; labor was as easy as it can get. I certainly had some ups and downs in my pregnancy. I thought I wasn't feeling my baby kick enough. The nurses had me come in and within 20 minutes I was hooked up and doing the Non Stress Test. All was reassuring except the ultrasound showed I seemed i was carrying a lot of fluid. Dr Ayoub wanted me to go to MFA for a detailed ultrasound. MFA couldn't get me in for at least 2 weeks. Dr Ayoub wasn't having it, had his staff call and get me in that same day with MFA. **Awesome. I can't say enough of how awesome Ayoub is. He is just so well qualified and knowledgeable, and has an outstanding bedside manner. He knows his stuff to make sure you have a safe delivery. My friend had a c-section with him and her recovery was much easier than other moms with c sections. I have tried quite a few OBGYNs in the NOVA area, and I am so fortunate to have found him. This doctors office did pointless tests without consulting my family member who came here and he also did not say the prices of anything. Under the results of one of the tests listed that it was altered and the doctor used those results as a scare tactic to have more tests done. The over all visit should have been thousands of dollars less than it was. This place is a scam and uses scare tactics to get more money out of you. I don't even know where to begin without getting emotional- even with out new mom hormones I would be teary. Dr. Ayoub is such an amazing doctor and wonderful human being. In October 2014 I went for a follow up with Dr. Ayoub, my first time seeing him, for what the hospital told me was a ruptured ovarian cyst. Dr. Ayoub had me fill out the typical new patient paperwork that you often wonder if doctors even take a look at before you see them in the office. When I saw him he asked me about the rectal bleeding which I had marked "yes" next to it. I had been told for about 10 years (since I was 17) that I suffered from IBS and my bleeding was chalked up to hemorrhoids. When I told Dr. Ayoub it was just hemorrhoids he asked me if I had ever been checked for them. Being right before my 27th birthday and being told this for almost 10 years I was a little hesitant to allow him to give me a rectal exam. Thankfully, Dr Ayoub was persistent and didn't find any hemorrhoids and sent me to the GI doctor. Fast forward, I had a colonoscopy within a week of seeing the GI doctor, who was we not able to complete the procedure due to a tumor blocking my colon. I had stage 4 colon cancer. After a series of surgeries, more amazing doctors and a year of chemo I am now no evidence of disease. However, if it wasn't for Dr. Ayoub's attention to detail, it is a wonder if I would even be here today. I am so thankful! Fast forward to almost 2 weeks ago, Dr. Ayoub delivered my miracle baby girl almost exactly 3 years after my cancer diagnosis. For my entire pregnancy I received the best care possible and any concern I had was never too little for Dr. Ayoub or his staff. I feel so blessed to have been directed to him 3 years ago. Not only did he save my life, but he joyfully brought my daughter into this world. His care, humbleness, and skill makes him such a wonderful doctor! read more

This is going to be a long post but I promise you, if you have any question, doubts, or want to know what you are in for by putting your heath in Dr. Ayoub's hands, it is worth the read. My story starts over 12 years ago, after I had my one and only baby boy. I had terrible periods but I was told that was just my body getting back to normal after having had a child, they put me on the pill to help regulate it. As a new mom I was tired, sometimes painfully and mind numbingly so, but hey what new mom isn't, right? I started suffering from HORRENDOUS UTI's to the point where I was put on a mild antibiotic all the time to keep them at bay. All my symptoms were always chalked up to being a mom, then being a working mom, then it was that I was a working mom of an active boy and I was in grad school. I always had stomach issues, I went to 3 GI's and had more endoscopies then I care to count and no one could figure out what was wrong with me. I finally was told early in the year that this was just my cross to bear and that we would work on finding a combination of medicines that would help keep things as ok as possible. I was so miserable and in sooooooo much pain. My son turned 12 in March, and I have been dealing with this since right after he was born, OVER A DECADE. Enter Dr. Ayoub... You must understand that when I say he saved me I am not being dramatic, I thought I was going to go insane for how horrible I felt yet was always told nothing was wrong with me. He listened, and after one conversation where he put all my history together and asked me questions and took the time to understand, HE gave me the answer. Endometriosis. If you can believe it I had never heard of it and had no idea what it was, I now know that is what I have dealt with for at least 12 years. The mess he cleaned up inside of me was epic, the organ adhesion was terrible, the lesions were on everywhere, and it explains EVERYTHING that was wrong with me for over a decade. I am done having kids, and I have known this for many years so this was the right choice for me, so to put an end to the pain I had a full hysterectomy. I got to keep my ovaries and but everything else came out. I am writing this 2 weeks post that surgery and even though I am still recovering I can't begin to put into words the absolute wonder and amazement I feel at not being in the pain I have lived with for sooooo long; it had just become my normal. Dr. Ayoub took the time to look at the whole picture, the same picture so many other doctors had had before him but he took the time to find the root cause not just try and find a quick fix. He gave me options, counseled me through them and set realistic expectations. I will never be able to fully articulate how amazing he is and how this process has changed my life in a way I didn't think was possible for me. I wish I could give this office ZERO STARS. I've been using this office for almost 2 years. Dr. Ayoub performed surgery on me to remove fibroids and endometriosis in October 2015. I've had several surgeries in my life and I've ALWAYS had the doctor check on me in the recovery room. Dr. Ayoub did not check on me after the procedure. This put a bad taste in my mouth but I continued using his office for my GYN needs. The office is UNORGANIZED, has a HIGH STAFF TURNOVER RATE, and the entire office does NOT appear to have an INKLING of compassion, NO SENSE OF GOOD CUSTOMER/PATIENT SERVICE, and they REFUSE TO DO WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO TO MAKE SURE THE HEALTH OF THEIR PATIENTS ARE A PRIORITY. I had HEAVY bleeding and clots. Two periods within 3 weeks and clotting in between. I was asked to come to their office so that Dr Ayoub could examine me. I explained that I had to get a caudal epidural injection in my back (arthritis, protruding discs, etc) for severe pain and Devin, the nurse, told me that I could come into the office after my injection. I had the epidural injection in Falls Church and then headed right to Dr Ayoub's office. I got there at 4pm. When I got to the office, Devin had the audacity to ask me what took me so long to get there. I had to remind her about the caudal epidural injection, which isn't a quick procedure. Devin proceeds to tell me that Dr Ayoub stops seeing patients at 4pm (the office closes at 5) and he was seeing a patient at that moment. After Dr Ayoub was finished with his patient, Devin spoke with Dr Ayoub about seeing me. He told Devin to tell me to go to the ER. Dr Ayoub did not examine me. Dr Ayoub did not even speak to me. Again, the office closes at 5pm. I had to wait in my truck in the parking lot for a friend to pick me up to take me to the ER because I was too weak and tired to drive. I am APPALLED and DISGUSTED. AND this office has been dragging their feet on getting insurance preapproval for Lupron injections to help control the reoccurrence of my fibroids and endometriosis. It has been MONTHS and they still have not done what they have to do to get the preapproval. My insurance asked them for additional info and they never provided the info to my insurance so it was denied. I had to make the office start the preapproval process again and provide the info that my insurance needs. It's been a month and a half since I made them start the preapproval process. These incompetent people have yet to provide my insurance the info that they need to approve the Lupron. I'm seeing a NEW DOCTOR TODAY!!! STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY IF U HAVE SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES. Dr Ayoub's bedside manners are NONEXISTENT. They will serve you at their convenience. "PRIORITIES" is NOT in this office's vocabulary. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!! FAR, FAR AWAY. UPDATE: I was lead to believe that this man, "Dr." Ayoub removed my fibroids in October 2015. I just found out via another pelvic ultrasound that the fibroids were NEVER REMOVED! In fact, the fibroids are almost three times the size they were in May 2015 (my last pelvic ultrasound)!!! I also have other serious issues that were never brought up or discussed by Ayoub or his Nurse Practitioner, Cynthia Stone. INCOMPETENT and LACK OF INTEGRITY. While I didn't see Dr. Ayoub on my initial visit, I did see the Nurse Practioner Cynthia Stone. Even my initial phone call was very pleasant, and the office fit me in almost immediately (as a new patient). When I arrived, I was immediately greeted and taken care of. The front office staff was courteous and friendly; and even greeted me by name. Cynthia has wonderful "bedside manner", and besides being professional and knowledgeable, she was very personable and comfortable to talk to. She listened to me and asked questions to truly understand my total health. Often OB-GYN's will skip important tests and exams, this was not the case. I would highly recommend this office, and will return as needed. There is plenty of close parking; and the office is modern, quiet, and clean. read more

I'd suggest to find another doctor. His staff does don't comply with HIPPA regulations. He, himself, is arrogant and refers to patient as "hon". My experience is like no other. Dr. Ayoub has done the prenatal care and delivery for all three of my babies in the past five years-- I would never look elsewhere for an OB! He is fantastic! He is very kind, thorough, and always takes the time to answer any questions I have. Each delivery (of my three) was different, but Dr. Ayoub impressed me each time. I felt very comfortable. I can tell that he cares about my overall health and my child's as well. As far as the rest of the office staff: I have had a few appointments with the Nurse Practitioner, Cynthia Stone, and she is great too-- very thorough and kind. All the nurses are really kind and caring. When I had blood work done, it was done in the office at the conclusion of my appointment (and the phlebotomist is really gentle). The office staff gets a five star rating as well. They are always kind, ready for me when I come in, and they have a good understanding of how my health insurance is billed. During my third pregnancy, I had to bring my toddler and three year old with me and everyone was really patient with them. I am so happy to have found this practice! If you are looking for an OB, I highly recommend Dr. Ayoub! read more

I have been under his care for two surgeries and he and his staff have always been friendly professional on-time knowledgeable and helpful. I just came from my 2 week follow up from a hysterectomy and I am feeling fabulous. Was back to work in a matter of days and healing on schedule. Dr. Ayoub made me feel comfortable, reassured and confident in my delicate choice to have this surgery to relieve my pain from adenomyosis and endometriosis. Dr. Ayoub is very professional, his patients safety and comfort is paramount. He has given me 2 beautiful VBAC's and delivers like a midwife. He loves all of his patients and will never give you less than perfection. *I am a working mother of 3 beautiful children soon to be 4. My first child was born to a c-section delivery with a midwife (not Dr.Ayoub) was completely scary for my first delivery as a new mother. A doctor or midwifes decision to give a first time mother a c-section should not be taken lightly, no c-section should be taken lightly. However, I feel that it was an easy decision for the dr on call for my situation considering the midwife pumped me so full of pitocin that I literally swelled shut and there was no possibility of anything else and they had already broken my water, so I wasn't leaving. After 27 hours of labor I ended up with 20 STAPLES in my belly (and they cut my babies head on the way out with a scalpel)... needless to say this was not even close to what I had expected. Then... When I got pregnant with my 2nd child I was told to sign a VBAC waiver with the midwives because they have limited liability for VBAC deliveries. My husband and I decided to call a real dr with a good reputation through reliable friends suggestions and who they'd delivered with. I was scared to death to deliver with this midwife practice again. This is when I called Dr. Ayoub (7 years ago). I can't say enough about him and his practice. He gave me two beautiful VBAC's after my horrific experience with the midwives. He sat on the bed with me, no stirrups or crazy spotlights, told me how to push, I pulled my baby out and held her for the first time. Truly beautiful and amazing VBAC. His after care for me was terrific and came to check up on me immediately after when I was post partum. He also literally saved my life. I had a very scary ectopic pregnancy (I had already had a miscarriage by pushing one out not knowing there was another baby in my left Fallopian tube, 4cm). He caught it by what was being described to him via a PHONE call that something wasn't right and sent me immediately to ER. I am now so excited to deliver my fourth child with Dr. Ayoub. Don't expect this doctor to even consider your birth plan. He may present himself as "natural," but in reality he wants to medically intervene based on his own convenience. His condescending demeanor isn't even warranted when he was unable to answer all my questions. He will pressure you into his own agenda by telling horror stories of various dead babies. Spare yourself the stress and find another doctor who has a shred of compassion and common sense. read more

Recently had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Ayoub and his wonderful staff and practice! Dr. Ayoub was a referral from my primary doctor for an issue I was having. Dr. Ayoub was able to get me in for an appointment immediately. Discussed multiple options for my situation. Sat talk with me and answered every question I had. Not once did I feel rushed or like I was be a bother to him. He has a very calming demeanor and has a great sense of humor! I saw Dr. Ayoub and Dr. Lee for the birth of my last baby. I always felt very comfortable that they were taking the best care of me and that my health and that of my baby was most important. I always felt like I had control of my decisions and never felt judged one way or the other about them. I started seeing Dr. Ayoub and about halfway through my pregnancy Dr. Lee joined the practice. I have been trying for years to get pregnant, this was the third office I have tried to be seen at in the last couple months, had an appointment, showed up early for paperwork, when I was told to show up and all of a sudden my appointment time was different and they had absolutely no sympathy to try to work with me or even be remorseful. I would need to write a book to fully tell you how much Dr. Ayoub has meant to our family. I was disappointed to find out that I would not be able to work with midwives during my pregnancies due to personal high risk health issues. Someone had recommended Dr. Ayoub as a great alternative and I feel like it was one of the best medical decisions I have made. Dr. Ayoub is incredibly respectful and made sure that I could have whatever birthing experience I wanted (as I had wanted to try the Bradley method the first round). He found the one nurse on the floor during delivery that was trained in Bradley to work with me and expertly handled life-threatening complications the first delivery as well as my following two children. Without him catching small details that I'm sure many doctors may have overlooked he saved my babies and me on more than one occasion! I cannot imagine working with any other doctor, or having anyone look after us as attentively as he did. I'm familiar with a number of nurses that work at Reston Hospital and they always describe him as a doctor who has his homework done for his patients and that's what we need as expecting moms, someone who values our time and experience as much as we do. There are tons of options around for you to pick from, and male practitioners can be a bit uncomfortable to consider, but put your worries to rest on that, Dr. Ayoub and his team are top shelf! You'll feel like family by delivery. read more

I went to Dr Ayoub for a different reason than most on here. I had a cyst on my ovary that another doctor didn't pay much attention to. She was more worried about my endometrial lining since I was still spotting occasionally at 60 years old. I went to Dr Ayoub as I found him on a site called Hyster Sisters as I was contemplating just getting a hysterectomy to get it all out and be done with all the nonsense. He did a precautionary blood work up to check for possible cancer before operating Di Vinci robotic surgery. He told me that if there was cancer suspected that I would be sent to an GYN Oncologist for the surgery. The blood work came back fine. So we scheduled the hysterectomy at Reston Hospital which I was not excited about since I love Winchester Medical Center, but everyone there was great! During the hysterectomy, he removed everything INTACT. This took skill and turned out to possibly be saving my life. As when pathology came back that "cyst" on the Right ovary was a GCT tumor which is a rare but highly curable form of cancer........ Had he not been skilled and "spilled or cut" into the ovary it would have spread all those cells into my abdominal cavity. I follow a GCT website and blog and this happens to many people whos surgeon isnt as skilled. So right now having this GCT tumor removed and all the other lady parts this requires me to be followed for the rest of my life with bloodwork that is very sensitive to GCTs. I now see a GYN Oncologist because of it, however Dr Ayoub will always have a special place in my heart for having the surgical skills that very well will save my life in the long run. I hope so. Some people talk about him being arrogent. I think he has a strong confident way about him and if you are easily intimidated by strong personalities he might not be your guy. But I would rather have a strong confident doctor that knows his stuff and is skilled than a mousey one who is Dr Feelgood but isnt skilled in what he does. I love Dr Ayoub. read more

I don't know where to begin. I CANNOT say enough or thank Dr. ayoub and his staff enough for being so wonderful! After going to multiple specialists and undergoing many tests for 5+ years, I was losing my faith in medical professionals. After one last attempt, I found Dr. Ayoub. I AM SO THANKFUL I FOUND HIM! He is the most knowledgeable, professional, caring, and compassionate doctor I have ever met. I didn't think that a doctor like that existed. Prior to meeting Dr. Ayoub, I (literally) jokingly asked our veterinarian of he would be willing to treat humans since he seemed more concerned and compassionate about my health than any of the previous "human" doctors I had experiences with. Dr. Ayoub's approach was EXACTLY what I had searched for all of those years! In one visit, he made me feel comfortable, informed, and reassured. I immediately knew I was with the right doctor. He's very smart and arrogant about it. He recommended I get a million tests run, he rushed to induce me. I always thought my delivery would be fun, relaxing, and just a beautiful moment, WRONG! I was working with the nurse and everything was fine until he walked in. The entire mood changed, he was raising his voice at me to push, telling me my baby needs to come out now, basically my delivery was STRESSFUL! My boyfriend actually had to jump in and tell him that he wasn't helping the situation telling me my baby's heart rate was declining. Spoke with a few of the nurses at the hospital and NONE of them gave him a good review. They said he always tries to get a C-section done and he makes a mess, treats the staff like his little minions, when this is a TEAM effort. There's no reason why I should've felt more comfortable with nurses I just met than with my own OBGYN. At the end of the day, I wouldn't recommend this guy to anyone. I've seen other reviews mentioning how great he is, and I will say that he is very knowledgeable, but all that means is that he knows how to make you feel like you need something done to spend more money... making it seem like you need to get x,y,z done and push for a C-section. I probably didn't even need to be induced, but whatever. It's done and I'm just happy I'm out of there. read more

I am post pregnancy age but had several other issues. After years of different doctored not listening to my symptoms or taking me seriously, Dr. Ayoub knew what I was talking about. He gave me the right tests and finally he had a solution. He has the best bedside manner and I've always been comfortable. My only regret is that I didn't know him when I had my kids! read more

Dr. Ayoub and staff are beyond amazing. I came to his practice at the beginning of my 7th pregnancy. I was a high risk patient and he was very cautious with each step of my care plan. When I was 27 weeks pregnant I called him very late in the evening with preterm labor. He was very quick to respond and told me to meet him at Reston hospital. That evening was the worst night of my life. Once I arrived we found out that my baby had no heart beat and had passed away. Dr Ayoub walked into that hospital and was the most caring a compassionate doctor I have ever seen. Dr Ayoub explained to me I had to deliver my stillborn even though I was begging for a c-section he walked me through what was best for me. He also ordered every test possible to try to figure out what had happened to my baby. Dr Ayoub saved my life by ordering every blood test because he found out that I have a genetic blood clotting disorder factor V Leiden. Not only did he save my life but he possibly saved my sister and my fathers life because they were positive for it also. My family would of never known this if Dr Ayoub would not of been so pro active of the cause of my babies dealth. Days after my baby passed away a package was delivered to my door, Dr Ayoub had purchased a star and named it after my baby!! What amazing gift that was to receive and how personal and thoughtful. There is no other doctor I would allow to deliver my babies. He is AMAZING and his staff is so caring. I have had a lot of OB's since I have delivered 7 babies and he is defiantly the best out of all of them! read more

I really enjoyed Dr. Ayoub's staff, but found him to be very arrogant and rude at times. He was not open to answering questions and lectured me about asking him so questions. Not my idea of a good bedside manner. I can't say I would recommend him. read more

Dr. Ayoub was fantastic! I had a VBAC at Reston Hospital and during my office visits Dr. Ayoub told me all the risks involved with a VBAC which allowed me to make an informed decision regarding my birth plan. We discussed before I went into labor, what I wanted and he followed what we had discussed. He told the nurses on duty to keep me informed and not to make any decision without my input. Hearing him tell the nurses my wishes and to let me make decisions about MY BODY meant so much to me and my husband. My baby girl was delivered in 3 hrs with no complication, no vacuum and no c-section. Hands down I would recommend Dr. Ayoub! read more

Say what you will about his bedside manner but his results are unbelievable. You are not going to the doctor for him to be your best friend--I'd rather go to someone confident/arrogant then go to someone who is wasting their time holding my hand or being my counselor-he knows what he is doing. I had the DaVinci hysterectomy a year ago and I feel like a new person and my scars are barely visible to boot. I was back to work in a week and actually working from home within 3 days of surgery. Any exercise... I didn't resume for about 8 weeks. Thumbs up in my book! read more

Dr. Ayoub has been my gyn for several years. I've had a couple of surgical procedures (one with a complication that his staff immediately got me in to address) and he has always been competent and compassionate. In March 2016 I discovered a lump in my breast. I called his office the next morning (a Friday) and they scheduled me to be seen Monday morning. Dr. Ayoub said he didn't feel good about it and it needed to be checked out. He called the radiologist and said I was on my way over for a mammogram and ultrasound. The next morning I was having biopsy. Dr. Ayoub had texted the breast surgeon even before the biopsy results to ask her to see me right away. His concern for me was obvious. Three weeks from the day I found the lump, and after many tests and scans, I started chemo. I am now cancer-free and forever grateful for Dr. Ayoub's quick action and his referrals to top-notch specialists. read more
