Dr. Jeffery was amazing, she's a bit brash but she is seriously intelligent and dedicated to keeping you healthy and making sure you have the best outcome. Very up front about what is going on and what needs to happen, yes my birth "plan" went out the window but my birth goal was to have a healthy baby! Dr. Kula is the OB who was on call when I my water broke 3 weeks early. Again no back and forth from her or my nurses on what needed to happen, I wasn't progressing and needed to be induced. I'm glad because my daughter needed to get out and not be stuck waiting. She had one moment of HR drop and Dr. Kula was right there handling everything with the team of nurses. She recovered and everything progressed well from there leading to delivering a healthy baby girl! I highly recommend Dr. Kula and Dr. Jeffery at OB/GYN Hospitalists of Loudoun.

I am so grateful to Dr. Sharara. He was very honest and straightforward with us, and I really appreciated that. Our other clinic told us we had unexplained infertility, but Dr. Sharara actually did the investigative work to see what was going on. Through changes in lifestyle and medication, we were able to get five embryos! I cannot tell you how happy I am to have a chance at another pregnancy due to Dr. Sharara's diligence and care.

From the very first day I met Dr. Fady Sharara, I felt warmly welcomed. He greeted me with a big…read moresmile, made me feel comfortable, and most importantly, made me feel heard. Fertility is not an easy topic to talk about, and going through fertility treatment can be emotionally challenging. From the beginning, he made me feel that I was in safe hands. I will never forget when he told me, "I'll do everything I can to help you become parents." Those words meant so much to me and gave me so much hope and happiness. Dr. Sharara is truly a master in his field, and I feel incredibly lucky that he was my first fertility doctor. I have heard from other people who started their fertility journey with different doctors and eventually changed doctors because they didn't feel comfortable with the way they were treated or didn't feel sufficiently supported. I am very grateful that I never had that experience. From the beginning, I felt respected, listened to, and cared for. Of course, medical knowledge and treatment are extremely important, but I personally believe that the human side matters just as much during a fertility journey. When you feel safe, supported, and confident in your doctor and your team, it can make such a difference emotionally. Constant worry and overthinking can make an already difficult journey even harder. Having a doctor who gives you hope and makes you feel that you are in good hands is priceless. Throughout my IVF journey, Dr. Sharara was always professional and supportive. He gave me recommendations about lifestyle, supplements, and different ways to improve my chances. We went through our first IVF cycle, and because I had diminished ovarian reserve, my body did not produce many eggs. In the end, we were able to have one frozen embryo. We later talked about a second cycle, and Dr. Sharara adjusted my medications and treatment approach to give me better chances. But then something truly amazing happened--I became pregnant naturally! When I shared the news with Dr. Sharara, I could see how genuinely happy he was for me. His nurses and staff were also incredibly happy and supportive. They made me feel like I was not just another patient, but part of a family. What I remember most about my experience is not only the medications, supplements, or medical treatment. It is the kindness, reassurance, and emotional support I received from Dr. Sharara and his entire team. During fertility treatment, those things matter tremendously. I will always be grateful for the way Dr. Sharara treated me and for the hope and confidence he gave me throughout my journey. I feel very lucky that he was the doctor who guided me through the beginning of this journey. I highly recommend meeting Dr. Sharara if you are going through fertility treatment. His medical expertise is exceptional, but what makes the experience truly special is the way he treats his patients--with kindness, compassion, and genuine care.

When I went in this year for my regular exam, she advised me I would need a colposcopy. I have spoken about this with her at length previously, because I have had several before and I find them to be severely painful. I requested pain medication, local anesthetic, or sedation. Dr. Glisman informed me that none of that would be available, but not to worry! Someone would be there to hold my hand. Also, since none of my previous colpos were done by Dr. Silva, they wanted me to "just try it." Knowing that I have had several, each as painful as the last, I did not make an appointment. Cue Emily. She called, because she had my chart stacked up on her desk, and she noticed I had not made an appointment. When I informed her I will happily make an appointment when I have a script for some sort of pain management solution, she advised, again, that hand holding is available and she doesn't know why I find it so painful because "the cervix has no nerve endings." Great. Mine does. She also felt that Dr. Silva could work some sort of magic and make it pain free for me. I don't see how putting a clamp on your cervix and pulling a chunk off could vary from practice to practice, but what do I know. I made the appointment and sent a message to Dr. Glisman requesting pain medication or some sort of sedative to make the appointment a bit less stress for me. She prescribed me a one time dose of xanax. I took my xanax as prescribed and went to my appointment. During my appointment with Dr. Silva, she tried to explain to me that somehow she was better at this procedure and it would be quick and painless. Given the state I was in, which could only be described as hysteria, Dr. Silva advised "Lets just get started and we will talk after." She also said if at any point I wanted to stop she would. She took her first sample, which was of course painful, and then the nurse advised she needed another one, which I replied "No." Granted, I didn't use the word "Stop." but I thought "No." Would suffice. It didn't, so she went ahead and took her second sample. When she was done, she left me with a box of tissues and a liner, said she would call in a week, and walked out. I've been to a lot of doctors, and I am not afraid of medical procedures by any means. Dr. Silva and Dr. Glisman made me feel like my thoughts, opinions, feelings, and fears were completely unjustified, and worthless. If your patient is telling you that a procedure is painful, or they need alternatives, and they are willing to PAY OUT OF POCKET for their needs to be met, then at least try to meet them, if not, refer to a doctor that can. I will never go back to this practice, and that's upsetting to me because I was initially very impressed and very comfortable there.

TLDR: they are too busy and overwhelmed to take on new patients, too swamped to communicate within the timeframe they set for themselves, and all too happy for new patient inquiries to see themselves out. This practice is probably great if you're already an established patient (though from the reviews, highly doubtful), but if you're seeking to become a new patient -- run for the hills and look elsewhere, your time will only be wasted.

Doctors there laughed at this practice diagnosis. Cancer antigen is high due to having fibroids and cysts. Fibroids are not a cancer and neither are cysts. The MD Anderson gyno that examined me felt the fibroid by hand and told me it is not a tumor, it is soft and movable. Still I got an MRI to confirm. Read Bowers' reviews on Google, what I went through is nothing compared to other women. Also they don't know how to bill insurance. P.S. I still have my whole reproductive system intact, had fibroids and cyst removed via laparoscopic surgery by a fabulous skilled surgeon in Houston. If I had listened to Bowers I would have been in early menopause.
