I'll never forget the first time my husband and I met with Dr. Sharara. Upon our arrival, he already knew everything there was to know about my journey. He truly did his homework! My previous clinic had sent over my medical records and he found so many "errors" before examining me. I'll never forget him asking if I was aware that I had a uterine septum. My previous clinic noted in my chart that I had one, but failed to mention that to me. Dr. Sharara immediately noticed it when looking at my ultrasounds. I knew then, I was in the right place. It was Dr. Sharara that made me realize that I needed to "do better by myself". Meaning, I needed to treat my body and health much better than what I was. I struggled with weight when my husband and I first started this infertility journey. I took all of my stress of trying to get pregnant, to eating unhealthy foods. By following his diet plan, I was able to lose 75 pounds over the course of one year. Weight was not my only issue, but it was certainly an important one. If it wasn't for Dr. Sharara, I would still to this day, not be taking care of myself. My previous clinic never mentioned my diet or health. I was deemed completely healthy and normal. Because I was young and naive, I trusted what these doctors said and that was a mistake on my part. Luckily, we found VCRM! Dr. Sharara set me straight and told me up front on day one consultation, that I had to do better if I wanted this to work! I may have left in tears that day, but it was exactly what I needed to hear and he sure was right! When I meet people who are also undergoing fertility treatment, I always ask what tests they ran or what type of blood work they had done. Through my experience at other clinics, they did very minimal testing and were eager to start IVF right away. Dr. Sharara is the opposite! If he can prevent you from doing IVf, he will. He is not in this to make money like other "infertility factories". His main goal is to figure out why you can't get pregnant and fix that problem so you can have a family. If then you are unable to conceive, he will recommend fertility treatments tailored to your needs. He understands that it's not a set protocol for everyone. He creates a plan based solely on your needs and issues. If he can get you pregnant with out fertility treatments like IVF, he will exhaust all those options first. He gets down to the root cause of your issues, unlike other clinics who just want to make a dollar. After just a couple appointments with VCRM, I was diagnosed with PCOS, endometriosis, uterine septum, and a blood clotting disorder. My previous clinics failed to test for these things and we waisted a lot of money there. By improving my health and correcting my issues, my husband and I were able to get pregnant on our own. Unfortunately, we did lose the baby very early on. The silver lining during this tragic time was that we were originally told we would never be able to conceive on our own. Just by changing my lifestyle and diet, that was deemed false. My husband and I did continue on to IVF, due to some male factor issues. But under Dr. Sharara's guidance, my husbands sperm count did increase. As of September 21st, 2024, I am a mom to a set of beautiful boy/girl twins all thanks to Dr. Sharara. He made it possible for us to finally have our own family and we are forever grateful for his work and team of nurses! Be prepared to get healthy and don't take it personally. Dr. Sharara wants you to be the "best possible version of yourself" so diet and exercise are very important to him. Dr. Sharara never made me feel like I was just a number. He truly treats his patients as if they are his own family. I was always greeted with a smile and left with a hug. His clinic and staff are just as welcoming and compassionate as he is. He is a very personable and knowledgeable doctor on male and female infertility. I never once felt like I was rushed in and out, unlike other clinics that I have been with in the past. Everyone at VCRM is approachable and communicative. It was very important for my husband and I to feel comfortable asking questions and discussing our concerns. As previous clinics we attended lacked in this department. Dr. Sharara listens and explains things clearly. This made a challenging process seem more manageable. He did an exceptional job providing information in a way that we understood. I cant recommend VCRM enough! This clinic is the best of the best! You won't leave disappointed or confused. The nursing staff and receptionist are also just as compassionate and caring as he is!

The nurses (thank you, Jo!) and staff were very attentive and treated me very well during my IVF process.

She is zero help with menopause. She claimed to prevent osteoporosis with a FemHeart and then mocked me by bending over like a 90-year-old to walk out when I had it by late 50s and sent me down the hall to her doc friend who practiced his golf swing in my appointment for drug infusions. She knows nothing about weight lifting exercises that prevent it. An acquaintance won a lawsuit for punctured uterus and intestine about which she lied to the ER that she caused which misled their care.

If you are concerned about your age, weight, fertility, etc. do your self a favor and find someone else who will be kinder and less fat phobic. She's incredibly unprofessional and rude. I especially do not recommend seeing Dr. Hersh if you are struggling with infertility, have PCOS, or are overweight/obese. On my first visit for PCOS she painted the absolute worst case scenario for fertility, telling me I would likely need to spend up to $50,000 on IVF to conceive my first child if I don't lose weight. This was before reading any of my medical records or talking to me about my concerns. I'm all for realistic information and don't want things sugar coated, but Dr. Hersh was thoughtless and hurtful. Further, I'm 34 and she told me I needed to freeze my eggs asap or else my kid would be more likely to get a host of terrible genetic conditions. I got several other opinions and they were all much more fact based on risks and said at this point my husband and I didn't need to worry about freezing my eggs upon actual medical testing. They were so much more positive and kind. Dr. Hersh also did not give me any warning before putting the clamps in during my appointment. Also the nurse couldn't figure out how to draw my blood and it took many mess ups and a supervisor to get it out. Of course it sometimes take a few tries but this was not normal.

She either looked over my chart, or spoke with the nurse before meeting me, and started our conversation right away addressing my situation. This may seem so small- but I can tell you it's not the norm for other physicians in the industry. I've seen the same OBGYN multiple days in a row, even while getting ready for surgery- and had them suggest multiple times that I could start a "new" medication, when I'm already on that medication. In a busy practice with lots of patients I can only imagine how difficult it is to be on time and keep things straight, but it's a terrible feeling when you're at some of your lowest moments to realize your doctor doesn't have the faintest idea who you are and couldn't be bothered to glance at your chart before scurrying into your room. Dr. Bannon made me feel like a person who mattered, and that is a lost gift. She did not make me feel rushed, and took the time to talk about my concerns and answered all of my questions. I'm so, so relieved I found her. Definitely worth the wait in trying to make an appointment and see her for the first time.

Found out today when trying to make an…read moreappointment that she's only seeing patients if they pay an extra 2000 dollars yearly, on top of copays. This is because she wants to see less patients, but still make the same amount of money. The healthcare system in this country leaves a lot to be desired... I should not have to shell out thousands of dollars for a routine yearly checkup. This is NOT ethical, and I hope she loses each and every patient she has. Thanks for nothing, Dr. Patel. Good to know you don't care about your patients unless they have enough money to be worth your time. What a disappointment. I've been seeing you since I was 14 years old and I really thought you were better than this. We live in a nation where being healthy is a privilege for the affluent, and that is truly a shame. I hope you feel that shame EVERY day. You deserve it. "Do no harm" my ass.

This team of doctors was highly recommended and when I met both Dr. Patel and Dr. Rausch, they were spectacular. They BOTH know exactly what they are talking about. I had had two miscarriages and was having trouble conceiving. Dr. Patel got right on it, no nonsense and direct to the point. I trusted her completely and by the end of last year, I delivered a healthy baby boy. Dr. Rausch saw me post partum and she was in the delivery room. I was excited to have a team of doctors that cared for me and knew their stuff! Sometime in the spring of this year, I received notification that they'd go to a concierge service which is like a membership service where you have to pay a fee to be their patient. I understand part of it is the insurance companies screwing them over so this new platform would have the patient foot the bill. I really can't blame them but as a patient I also cannot quantify the cost. Which sucks because before I moved I saw THREE doctors and no one helped me the way these brilliant doctors have. As far as their skill and knowledge goes, they truly are the best. I wish them the best, I truly did love them and the staff, I feel like we bonded through my pregnancy journey and I wish I could have stayed longer for them to help me with any future pregnancies.
