My wife found Uribe construction Company on another job site here in La Mirada and was impressed by the House they were working on, so we contacted Oscar Uribe. He came over we showed him the project and the Blueprints of what we needed to build, we wanted a Family Room took the Blueprints and within a couple of days Oscar called us to give us the figure of what it would cost, Oscar came overto discuss the project in more detail. This was a tear-down of an existing patio, the Cement and that neede to get rid of , his crew started 2 weeks after and started the project , he did explain to me that the whole construction would take from 3 to 4 months, and it was done on a timely manner, of course we added a couple of projects to the construction so it took a bit longer but everything came out the way the wife and I envisioned our Family room , now we have room for our Grandchildren to play. Oscar also expects things to be done on the schedule he lays out at the beginning of the project. There have been a few delays but that, I think, is to be expected especially when there are things that are out of his control, including the weather. He visits his job sites regularly, to maintain communication with the customer and his workers, which ensures that you know he's involved in the project from start to finish. His workers are very good. We really liked the workers whom we got to know because they spent many days working at our house. The ones who did the tear-down, the finish carpenter, the painter, the electricians, and many more were professional and very good. Oscar is someone who wants everything done perfectly, and it shows in expectations he has of the people he uses, Oscar also gives you design ideas that would look better for the construction or the existing renovations. If I could give 10 stars, I would, in a heartbeat! Oscar, the owner and his team, converted my garage into an ADU this year and I was extremely satisfied from start to finish. The entire conversion (400 sq ft) took about 4 months. The workers were at my home Mon-Sat from 8am-5pm and were always very organized, clean with their tools/supplies, and friendly. The city inspectors were always quick to approve the work because Oscar has a good rapport with the city of Long Beach and the work was always done correctly. He offered suggestions on cabinets, flooring, tile, and appliances, so we collaborated on the finishes which made the process seamless. I reached out to Oscar on a Sunday in a bit of a panic--my original contractor had entirely botched my quartz countertops twice, and I was left with a kitchen in chaos. Oscar was hired to work on my roof. Whoever designed the eaves needs to be put in prison for causing a dangerous situation. In essence, my roof was falling off. It was extremely difficult to get someone to come out and even do an estimate. Oscar actually put in the work to find out what needed to be done. Oscar and his team are class act. His employees were always on time, friendly and accommodating to our needs since some renovations we had to stay inside our house. The house was left cleaned before they left for the day. The cost was affordable and worth every penny. My parent's had their bathroom updated to accommodate their physical disabilities. We had our kitchen remodeled, 2 of the 3 bedrooms had their carpets taken out and their natural woods floors sanded and varnished, painted and ceiling fan added to the room. I hired Oscar Uribe in back 2016 when I purchased my first home. He was always highly recommended, during this time I was under a first home loan and the house needing a complete rehab. The bank authorized an amount to pay and a time frame for the work to be completed. Oscar and his team completely rehabilitated my home. Him and his employees were always very nice & courteous. I knew Oscar had a few other jobs prior to starting repairs, he assured me once he starts a job he doesn't leave until he is done & so he did! The day came and sure enough he and his crew were ready to go, Uribe construction was there from dusk to dawn to make sure my home was move in ready. Not only did my project surpass expectations, it went way beyond that. Oscar is a standup guy and without taking any type of building shortcuts he found ways to save me $$ via materials even if he had to drive to get them himself. I always noticed they considered the cleanliness of their work. Although I wasn't living there yet, at all times I would see them cleaning up right after demolishing or sanding something right away. At the end of the day they would take time to clean up work areas and leave it presentable even if they were still working in said area. Just for example an access area under the house every day before they left home they would put the cover back on and re-screw the holding screws. Who does that? We researched the price to remodel a bathroom, and Oscar was the contractor that came in with the lowest estimate. I first used Oscar to have a block wall installed a few years prior, and wanted to use him again because his company did such a great job for the price. I don't know that I can put into this recommendation the respect and appreciation I have for Oscar and his team for the work they did on my home, but I will try. Oscar was a referral to me for what I thought was a simple one room sub-floor project during an install of new hardwood and a refinish of old hardwood. I already had three moves and two installations scheduled, so my time-line was very short. Once I met Oscar, I knew I was in good hands as my simple sub-floor problem in one room, became much needed repairs and improvements to several rooms, after he had a chance to inspect. That may sound like an "add on" to work for his benefit, but no, they were all problems I knew I had, but didn't realize were fixable and needed to be fixed before I laid new hardwood - Oscar saw and noted them immediately upon entering those rooms. Oscar is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of construction, from material, plumbing, electrical, literally everything. He never cuts corners, he and his team show up on time, they are respectful, listen, and give amazing feedback. The work is the best I have had on my 1930s home. He said to me at one point during the job, "I do work like I would want done on my own home." Not all contractors or tradesmen operate that way, and when you are putting effort and money into your home, you want that same care and attention by those you hire. I've been working with Oscar for over 15 Years now and because of my workload have hired other contractors at the same time to run other projects. City building inspections were called for and completed on the first pass. Prices for work was agreed to in advance and included replacing the sewer line; upgrade to a 200 amp service and complete house grounding rewire; replaced all plumbing with PEX; insulated the attic to R30; raised the entry hallway ceiling; removed 3 bedroom popcorn ceilings; and repaired the irrigation system.
