Due to a circumstance beyond the property managements (Scenic Coast Property Management) control I needed to be relocated. Valerie was in touch with me immediately and not only gave me four different homes to choose from, but she actually took the time to speak to me about each individual house and made sure I picked the right one for rest of my vacation needs. The house they moved me into was an upgrade as well and I was not charged extra for it. It's nice to know that I can depend on someone like Valerie and SCPM to be there if needed. I will definitely be using their services whenever I visit the central coast.

The reception was easy - the usual stupid liability forms to fill out - otherwise its nestled in a grove of trees and surprisingly quiet given how close to the road it is. The massage quality was on the higher end as one would expect, but what set it above and beyond was the 30-45 min soak in an outdoor private hot tub before your massage as part of the package. Definitely relaxed us before the relaxing massage and a relaxing hot shower afterwards. You just didn't want to do anything after that. A great experience and well worth it.

The private hot tub was already filled and heated upon arrival, which was a nice touch. There were plenty of towels, a refrigerator in the room, and a large, comfortable couch with a sitting area that was perfect for enjoying breakfast. Unfortunately, the service did not match the price point. At nearly $600 per night, I expected a much higher level of hospitality. Room service took over two hours to arrive, despite placing the order an hour in advance specifically to avoid delays. To their credit, the staff comped the meal, which was a gracious gesture, but I would have preferred receiving the food on time. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of personalized service. For a resort charging premium rates, I expected touches such as evening turndown service, robes and slippers prepared by the bed, or other details that make a luxury stay feel special. None of that was offered. At $600 per night. I would've rather spent my money at The Four Seasons four seasons or the Peninsula hotel. At least at those premium hotels we actually get the service we pay for. The check-in experience was also unpleasant. The front desk staff came across as overly rigid and unwelcoming, which set the wrong tone from the start. This was my second time giving this resort a chance, and unfortunately, I regret doing so. While the accommodations themselves are very nice, the service falls far short of what should be expected at this price level

Bathroom had a huge mirror with fantastic lighting around the rim. Husband enjoyed the free fresh brewed coffee from the lobby on one of the outdoor benches. Just cross the street to an amazing walkway along the ocean cliff, with steps down to the beach. That evening we walked to a nice restaurant about 2 minutes down the road. Views there were equally beautiful. Would definitely stay there again!

He told me I cannot check in until 3 pm, and it was 2:45 pm. We left and came back. The next person at 4 pm on Saturday, July 4th, told us we could have our room cleaned and when we would like to schedule the room cleaning for Sunday. I told the person at 1 pm. When we came back after being away for the day, our place was not cleaned! I went to the front office and asked to have our place cleaned. The person at the desk, at the time 2:30 pm, told me we did not request the room cleaned because we were not on the hand written lined paper list. I told him that was not true as the person grabbed the paper when we checked in and wrote our room and time to be cleaned. The pool, not working and empty. The hot tub had too much chemicals and my skin itched like crazy. I stayed here many years ago and was always greeted with a friendly voice and granted early and late access even when I would pay. I will never stay here again. Maybe the people are not gay friendly... not sure. Bye, bye! Next....

I found The Lofts at the Market through my Amex hotel portal and honestly had zero regrets booking it! The two-bedroom unit was so nice and super spacious. Everything was incredibly clean. I was mainly in contact with Emily and Jill, and they were both so responsive and accommodating throughout my entire stay. Everything is handled through text, but if anything urgent comes up they're available by phone. Anytime I needed something--like extra towels or ice--I got it right away. Check-in, the stay itself, and check-out were all seamless. There's no lobby, which didn't bother me at all. There's a little market walk downstairs with restaurants, though some were closed since we came during the week. But downtown is super walkable, so it wasn't an issue. We really enjoyed staying here and would definitely book again when we're in the area. Thanks again to Jill and Emily for making everything so easy!

It has the best lighting of any place I have ever stayed. Sky lights, tons of windows, great views. So good. Emily and Jill were great about reaching out via call or text. Every morning they'd check in if we needed anything. They do room turn over if requested and everyone who works there is very nice. Tons of parking. Jill and Emily were accommodating even down to asking for ice and have it dropped in the room while we were out. They have insulted ice buckets so the ice lasts a very long time without melting. They don't have ice machines in the room which is slightly an inconvenience but they were able to bring it up during their staff working hours. The sheets were soft and quiet. Some sheets are so rough and loud they wake you up while sleeping but these were so soft. They have a vanity in one room which was nice. The lighting shouldn't be overhead it should be facing the person but since the natural light was so good I just turned my chair so it was fine. The shower has good pressure just gets cold as it is a half glass door. They bring tons of towels and have darker ones specifically for removing make up which is brilliant! They have a tons of fridge space with two side by side mini fridges. They only have a microwave option if you're bringing food. The TV is a smart TV and large wall mounted so you can watch and log in to whatever you want. There is also a TV in each room. They do have a coffee shop downstairs they recommend but it was beyond terrible so I'd suggest anywhere else but that place is not associated with them just close proximity. We were walking distance of the park and center. About 10 to 14 minutes. Tons of restaurant nearby which were super yummy. Uber/lyft were always withing a 5 minute wait. Sensorio is close by and so are so many good wineries. I recommend Cass, Niner, and Eberle. Also only a 40 minute drive to Hearst castle and the elephant seals! Overall I would definitely be back. The service was great, the room was beautiful, super comfortable, and very clean.

A very cozy boutique hotel right on Moonstone Beach…read more I love staying here for three main reasons: the oceanfront location, the in-room hot tub, and the fact that my dogs are welcome. A handful of the bungalow-style rooms feel wonderfully private and come with their own patios, giving our pups a sunny spot to lounge. It's perfect for us. The beach sits directly across the street, and you can walk to a few nearby restaurants. Hearst Castle is only seven miles away. The suite we book has a partial ocean view, fireplace, and a whirlpool tub right in the bedroom. It's incredibly romantic. Amenities include continental breakfast, parking, and WiFi. If you're traveling with pets, there's a $75 non-refundable fee. If I had to point out an area for improvement, it would be updating all the rooms as some feel fresher than others. Even so, our stays are very comfortable, and I feel safe here. A big plus: the pet friendly rooms have no odor whatsoever.

We did have to wait because she was constantly helping other guests and answering phone calls, but I want to make it clear that she was wonderful. She was incredibly kind, patient, and professional despite being pulled in every direction. It honestly seemed like she was doing the job of several people, and I felt bad for how overwhelmed she was. When we got to our room, the first thing we noticed was the incredible ocean view. It was beautiful and definitely the best part of our stay. Unfortunately, the room itself was a different story. It had a very strong musty smell that made it feel old and unclean, and there were several stains on the carpet. To make things even more surprising, there was a live lizard in our room when we first walked in. We love animals, so we carefully caught it and let it back outside, but it's definitely not something you expect to find in your hotel room. That evening, after taking a shower, the humidity caused what looked like a blood stain near the top of the shower curtain to become visible. Neither of us had been bleeding, and it was nowhere near where either of us would have touched, so it was pretty disturbing. By that point the front desk had already closed, and knowing how busy the woman at check-in had been all day, we decided to just avoid using that side of the curtain instead of bothering anyone. We had dinner next door, which was excellent, and our server was fantastic. The location of the hotel really is hard to beat. After dinner we brought a few drinks back to our room, but when we opened the refrigerator we found someone else's leftover lemon bar along with drinks that had expired in November 2025. That was honestly the moment everything else clicked. It made us seriously question how well the rooms are cleaned between guests. Later that night we wanted to make tea before bed, but the hot water station was empty. The next morning we mentioned it to the front desk and asked if someone could refill it later that evening before it ran out again. Instead, we were told that we'd just have to call once it was empty because it usually runs out by 7 p.m. That response was frustrating because we were trying to be proactive and avoid having to call later. For a hotel that's close to $300 a night, I don't think that's an unreasonable expectation. The second evening we did end up calling because one of the fire pits wouldn't light. Maintenance came out within about 10 minutes, got it working right away, and was incredibly friendly and helpful. That was one of the better customer service experiences we had during our stay. There were definitely some positives. The location is amazing, the ocean views are beautiful, the fire pits are a nice place to relax in the evening, and every member of the housekeeping staff we interacted with was incredibly kind. They were happy to chat, offered recommendations, and genuinely made us feel welcome. We also really appreciated being given a complimentary one-hour late checkout, which gave us time to enjoy one last walk along the coast before leaving. Overall, the employees we interacted with were friendly and helpful, but the cleanliness and condition of the room simply didn't match the price. Between the musty smell, stained carpet, lizard, questionable shower curtain, leftover food and expired drinks in the refrigerator, and other small issues throughout our stay, we wouldn't choose to stay at Cambria Landing Inn again. It's a beautiful location, but the rooms need much more attention and better quality control.
