We've been following Urbane Cafe for a while and finally got a chance to give them a try. Upon entering the door, we were quickly greeted with a smile! That always makes my day! We pondered on the menu and asked questions. Again, the young lady was very patient, polite, friendly, and helpful. Urbane Cafe offers a healthier way of eating. Their menu consists of salads, sandwiches with side salad, or bowls. Kids menu items as well. There's vegetarian sandwich options, too. We ate inside once and came back for takeout the second time in one week!!! The restaurant seating area was very clean. The staff came around to take our trays/trash while we were chit chatting. We would have done it when leaving, but it was nice of them to go above and beyond. We ordered the Keto Cobb salad. One added chicken and the other one added BBQ tri-tip for an extra add on fee. Both salads were delicious!! Overall, great service and food. The restaurant is located in a shared parking lot. Ample parking available. We chatted with a couple of the staff members and they were out going and friendly. Budget friendly healthy choices. We will be back....

Came here for the first time after I got out of the DMV. The inside super clean and bright. The customer service was amazing! The girl behind the counter was super sweet and approachable. She made the transition so easy. The food came out quick. I got the Ahi Tuna salad and it came with homemade focaccia bread. This meal was so tasty and fresh. Thank you Urbane Cafe for your hospitality and tasty lunch. I can't wait to come back and try something else on your menu.

Red pepper and gouda soup was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the sandwiches here are always really good. My all time favorite soup from this place was the artichoke bisque but sadly they stopped making it years ago!!! Bring It back!!! First time at this location and it is just as good as the Linda vista area one. Service just as good and plenty of tables to find a spot to eat.

Absolute favorite place for lunch! They have so many options, and are super fast so perfect for lunch. There are lots of indoor and outdoor seating with umbrellas. Also very low music great to have conversation or work from laptop. The bread is fresh homemade in a wood burning fire oven right in the front. I always get the salmon salad and it comes with a side of the fresh bread. They have regular and chipotle ranch, both no charge. A lot of unique soda, iced tea, lemonade options.

Solid and a great addition to the Sprouts plaza and Clairmonte neighborhood. It was a spacious and bright space and signs everywhere advertised downloading their app to join their loyalty program. With the app download you can immediately redeem a free cookie, so as I waited for my friend, that's exactly what I did. I got the seared ahi tuna bowl for my entree which was a reasonable $14 price point, the bread came upon request, so definitely request it because it was delicious. I thought the ahi portion was spot on and the best part of the bowl for me was actually the kale, which was cooked really well and removed the typical bitterness inherent to the vegetable. Needless to say that I'm glad I joined the loyalty program because this is a nice walkable fast service lunch or dinner option that I'm sure to enjoy regularly.

1st time visit & it was very satisfying considering that it was a very late lunch. Service was friendly & efficient. Orders: So Cal (sandwich)-consisting of roasted chicken, avocado, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatillo salsa, chipotle aioli. A sandwich with house made bread & plenty of extra's, the chipotle aioli added a nice creamy texture. A satisfying sandwich I would re-order. Salmon Bowl- consisting of bbq salmon, mixed whole grain rice, marinated kale, roasted sweet potato, edamame, lemon wedge & sweet chili aioli drizzle. This was well worth the money for so much that you get. The sweet potatoes really stood out for me, so I would definitely get this again. Thanks Urbane Cafe for a wonderful 1st time experience!

I knew there was a location in Mira Mesa as I've passed by it several times, but never got the chance to try Urbane Cafe! Now that there's a closer location to me, I'm excited to visit more often! - PARKING - Shares a large parking lot with Sprouts and other businesses, it wasn't a problem finding a spot! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The interior seating is a bit limited, but they do have a nice outdoor patio area with market lights if you don't mind being outside! You can see them making their breads fresh right when you walk in, as well as their warm cookies on a heating pad. Really friendly staff through our entire experience! - FOOD/DRINK - My fiance and I both got a sandwich each, but I opted for a salad while he got a soup for his side. Chimichurri TriTip: The Tritip was very tender, and the Chimichurri was delicious! Really fresh ingredients all around! I honestly really enjoyed the Tomato Bisque soup as well! The cookies were warm and soft, I'd like to try more of everything the next time I come in!

I finished the evening with a Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta with sugared dark cherry was very pleasing. I almost forgot the focaccia bread.. made daily, served warm and soft. A must have. The server had a couple of hiccups with an incorrect food order and totally separate billing issue (which by their reaction I would assume was an off night) but other food delivery staff and bussing staff were timely and professional. I would recommend reservations. I was able to secure a seat (due to showing for dinner around 4 pm or so), but the restaurant filled up nicely and hosted about 4 anniversary's and 1 birthday in my time there. Dress attire seemed casual but there is definitely a more elevated clientele so I would recommend a thoughtful outfit for the experience.

Not one miss. What really stood out though was the attention to detail. The host brought us a complimentary glass of champagne after hearing we were celebrating our anniversary. Small gesture, big impact. Stuff like that matters. As the night went on, the restaurant filled up, live music started playing, and the whole atmosphere just came alive. Our waiter never rushed us once, which made the experience feel even more intentional and relaxed. We were able to actually enjoy the moment instead of feeling pushed through dinner service. All of our entrees were delicious. Favorites? Probably, first, the Hokkaido Scallop starter. The scallops themselves were huge, perfectly cooked with a crusted chili crunch topping and served with a delicious miso butter sauce. Not overly spicy, the flavors meshed perfectly. I also loved the Miso Black Cod (especially because it's a dish one can rarely find near the East Coast where we live.) Any misses? It's just a shame the experience came with a few caveats. We requested the patio, drawn in by descriptions of a vibrant, lively porch. What we got was four tables, a persistent wind tunnel, and a front-row seat to the San Diego flight path, meaning every few minutes, conversation came to a full stop for a low-flying plane. No warning from the restaurant, which felt like a miss. Inside next time, without question. The menu itself was a little overwhelming at first, but our server stepped in with confident suggestions that completely redeemed the experience. And then the food arrived. The house sourdough with Mikolich Farm honey butter was the kind of bread course that makes you reconsider every other bread course. The shio tang oysters with mojito foam and cucumber relish were playful and precise. The three cheese tortellini, wild porcini, english peas, aged parm brodo, was the standout of the night: rich, deeply layered, and deeply comforting. The saffron bigoli and miso black cod were both beautifully executed. We paired everything with a Russian River Valley Pinot that was an ideal match for the table. Bottom line: the kitchen is firing on all cylinders. Sit inside, trust your server, and order the tortellini. You won't regret it.

I tend to keep it simple and order the same items every time. My go to is the crispy Brussels for $14 and the chicken sandwich for $16, and I usually rotate in the parmesan fries for $10. While they do offer other dishes that are worth trying, these favorites always keep me coming back. The service and ambiance are consistently great. Drinks wise, I got the blueberry bramble as well as the berries & cream (both vodka drinks). they were fantastic, so refreshing. Old fashioned was also top notch! server was wonderful and kind. the ambiance is amazing and is a great spot for a date or cozy evening with friends.
