This is an update to my three year old review and overall I would say still wasn't OK experience and there was still a fly that was around the food. That being said, I gave it an extra star because I did finish my bowl and I appreciated the spicy tuna and the mixed greens this time as you can see the pictures the fish and other items were kept cold. I was really craving poke and I was in the area and I also thought after three years I would give this place another try. It's not that I was more disappointed because I did up one star, but the customer service was lacking as people just seemed like they had to be there and no smile and just what do you need next which I get that makes sense but I also say the overall experience still for the price of about close to $18 for one bowl it just did not really match the value .

When I'm looking for a quick- fish fix, I'll stop by here. It's not the most authentic poke but I will say they do have good portion sizes. I usually get a scoop of their salmon or ahi with a LOAD of their toppings. Everything is customizable to your liking and made to order but I feel like it can lack flavor. Parking can be a hit or miss depending on when you stop in.

Not sure if I'm giving this a three star rating because I've had terrible poke in the past and this one was OK by comparison or if this place was truly alright but nevertheless, three stars it is! Came in on a Saturday around noon and during my 40 minutes there ordering and eating there was a steady stream of people coming in and out. It was never packed but always had at least someone ordering. You start at the far wall to start ordering and make your way closest to the exit where you will pay. The options are limited. You first pick your bowl size small medium or large which is 2, 3, or 4 scopes and then you pick if you want brown or white rice or quinoa or salad or a combo. They also have a children's meal. From there you pick your protein which is either salmon, Cali mix, shrimp, spicy salmon, or tuna. The website says they have others like octopus but I didn't see any available. From there you pick your sauce: Poki Sauce Hot Poki Sauce Fire Poki Sauce Spicy Mayo Sauce Ponzu Sauce Wasabi Mayo Sauce Yuzu Pepper And then you pick your toppings: Edamame Seaweed Salad Cilantro Green Onion Pineapple Carrot Sweet Corn Jalapeño Ginger Wasabi Crunchy Garlic Sesame Oil Seaweed Flakes Sesame Seeds They sell a variety of drinks as well from soda to coffee to ice cream! We got two bowls. Bowl 1: half salad and quinoa. Tuna and Cali mix. All the toppings minus pineapple and cilantro. Poke sauce and spicy mayo. Bowl two: half salad and brown rice. Cali mix and spicy tuna. All the toppings minus carrots and corn. Spicy Mayo and fire poke sauce. Bowl 1 won. I think the original poke sauce was the deciding factor. The sauce with the Cali mix was delicious. There is seating for about 20 inside and an additional 10 outside. We sat outside because I had my dog. Service was pretty quick. Nothing to special about our interaction. Decent amount of parking. It's in a busy business park and so it was packed with cars. We went to Ross before it got busy so we lucked out with a nice spot before everyone got there.

Large bowl (3 scoops tuna) with a bunch of toppings. Delicious and great portion.

Went to Mitsuwa to try and score some of their daily prepped a la carte sushi, but by the time we got there (4 PM?) , everything was wiped out. Decided to adjust destination to the poke place in the same plaza. This plaza can get crowded but you can always find a parking spot. We must have came at the perfect time because there was only 1 person in front of us, and nobody behind us. Ordered a medium bowl with greens and brown rice as my base, 3 scoops of tuna, and a bunch of toppings, with their house poke sauce. Everything was fresh and appetizing. BB and I were both pleasantly surprised at the large portion. We used to frequent bleu poke but will probably go to poke one and a half from here on out next time we get a craving for poke.

My go to for poke during lunch rush. The portions are really good. I tend to eat half for lunch and then reheat the rest later as a yummy fried rice. It's small on the inside with one bathroom so I don't usually eat there. Service is fast.

Average poke establishment with nothing unique on different from other poke establishments. Good customer service. Casual. Indoor seating is plentiful. Located inside a Mitsuwa anchored center. Parking is easy. Please come and create your own experience.

This is from Poke 124 - they even had Hawaiian style Poke too! Can't beat the value

Short and sweet! We used to come here often with family and friends when they first opened -- it was our go-to spot for Fusion Poke. Stopped by last week for dinner and ordered a medium bowl with 2 proteins, veggies, sauces -- the works! Sadly, the quality and portions have gone downhill. They used this little scooper fit for feeding g a baby! The bowl wasn't even full, and despite adding several sauces, the flavor just wasn't there. All three of us agreed the food wasn't up to par like before. Customer service, however, was fantastic -- no complaints there. We ended up going to Poke 123 near my house, and wow -- flavors were on point, value was great, and the bowl was overflowing with toppings. You can barely close it -- and that was just a medium! Just take a look at the pictures from Poke 123

Poki One N Half in Kearny Mesa is an awesome spot if you're looking for something quick, fresh, and satisfying. I grabbed a bowl to go, and everything tasted super good. The fish and the toppings were on point--plenty of options to choose from, so you can really build your bowl exactly how you like it. I also love that they don't charge extra for avocado. Highly recommend if you're in the Kearny Mesa area and want something fresh and customizable that won't slow you down!

A Famous Poke Bowl Spot - The Perfect Healthy Meal! This is a well-known Poke Bowl restaurant. Poke is a unique combination of fresh fish , veggies , and carbs, making it a perfectly balanced, healthy meal--low in fat but packed with nutrients. You can easily devour two bowls guilt-free after a workout! This place uses super fresh ingredients and offers a wide variety of sashimi and vegetables. The staff is efficient, the restaurant is clean and tidy, and I leave satisfied every time! There are four locations in San Diego.

One of my go-to poke places in SD! The plaza has ample parking and the restaurant has plenty of seating/tables. Although I wouldn't say the seafood/fish is kind blowing, it's always tasty and decent for the price! I usually get the salmon and all the veggies and toppings. This time I tried the mince lobster and that was a yummy addition! Workers are always chill and I appreciate that they're always generous with their avocado scoops here. They never charge if you ask for an extra

My boyfriend and I came here for a late lunch and we were really impressed by the generous portions and super friendly service! Danny prepared our poke bowls (and one to-go for my daughter when we came back after running errands). He was very cheerful and upbeat, definitely made us feel welcomed! A lot of the other poke places are really stingy with their portions and charge extra for toppings. At this Poki One N Half, all of the toppings were included in the price, and you can request extra of your favorites FREE! How nice is that?! It's service like this that attracts and retains loyal customers! I don't live in the area, but I wouldn't mind driving here next time I crave for poke! The restaurant is really clean and the fish/ingredients are all very fresh!

If you have never had a Poki bowl, I think it's a must try for anyone that likes sushi, fish, or ceviche. From what I read long ago about it, it is a Hawaiian dish with Japanese influence. It's typically cut up/cubed raw fish mixed with sauce served with rice and/or greens and other toppings to complete the deliciousness. To start, you select the size you want and based on that they give you a certain amount of scoops of fish or other protein. Small - 2 scoops ($15.95 as of Feb 2024) Regular - 3 scoops ($16.95 as of Feb 2024) Large - 4 scoops ($17.95 as of Feb 2024) You select a base: white rice, brown rice, mixed greens, quinoa (add $1.00) or half and half. I usually get mixed greens and brown rice. Then you select your proteins. I usually go with salmon, tuna, and scallops. They also have shrimp, a Cali mix, minced lobster, spicy tuna, tofu, octopus, chicken, and chickpea. You select your sauce: original poki, hot poki, fire poki, ponzu, spicy mayo, wasabi mayo, or yuzu pepper. I usually go with fire poki. I have heard people mix sauces, but I usually stick to one. Then they mix your sauce(s) with your protein in a separate bowl and place it on top of your base. The last thing you select are toppings: seaweed salad, edamame, jalapenos, krab meat (I think it's imitation), white onions, green onions, seaweed flakes, ginger, carrots, corn, crunchy garlic and/or sesame oil. I order toppings based on what I feel like having, but everything is good. The poki bowls are good. Service used to be the worst thing here, but I think those employees have been replaced. Service is consistently good now. Lots of drink options and fountain drinks. Not a ton of seating, but people are usually in and out after eating. Parking is usually okay unless you are here during peak hours. If that's the case, you might have trouble finding parking. I'm glad I gave this location another chance. I don't mind the drive to Clairemont Mesa, but this i smuch more convenient after shopping at Mitsuwa. 4 / 5: Poki or Poke bowls (I've seen it spelled both ways) 4 / 5: Service 4 / 5: Cleanliness 4 / 5: Overall

Regular bowl, filled past the rim. Lid barely closes sometimes.

My favorite poki place in San Diego! I love that they have multiple locations. First, this has been the BEST bang for your buck poki place I have been to. Even with their recent price increase, ~$17 for a regular bowl (3 scoops of fish), it's still worth it. It so much food, I can make it into two meals. Second, they have so many topping options and sauce options. Try the crunchy garlic! I usually get the Fire sauce because I like spice. They even have dessert (ice cream macaroons), they are delicious! I've tried them all, and can't go wrong with any of them. Ive never been disappointed with the service or quality of food, that's why I'm a loyal customer. I'm a fitness guru so it's nice having a great poki place I can rely on. During the summer I tend to come here at least once a week. If you're in the area and you're craving poki, check them out! Note: During lunch hour the parking lot can be chaotic since it shared with lots of other businesses.

You can tell when people actually care about the guest experience, and they absolutely do. Nate deserves a special shoutout for creating a Thai chili ginger soy sauce that genuinely blew my mind. I'm not exaggerating -- the balance of heat, sweetness, and umami was unreal. One of those flavors that makes you pause mid-bite and go, wow. It elevated everything it touched and is still living rent-free in my head. Dominic was equally incredible -- seamless service, great energy, and made the entire experience feel effortless and welcoming. Together, they made what could've been a normal meal into something truly memorable. If you're lucky enough to be taken care of by Dominic and Nate, you're in for an exceptional experience. This is the kind of service (and flavor) that keeps you coming back.

Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. I placed my order online four hours in advance because I have a long drive back home to Julian and just wanted to pick it up and go. When I arrived, there was no greeting from staff, no clear pickup line, and no acknowledgment of customers waiting. The staff seemed to have tunnel vision, only focusing on what was directly in front of them while ignoring everyone else. After standing there for quite a while, I finally had to ask about my order. Instead of it being ready like it should have been, they hadn't even started making it. I ended up waiting over 30 minutes in line for something that was ordered hours earlier. What made it worse was when the mistake became obvious, no one apologized or acknowledged the inconvenience. The staff acted like it was no big deal and showed zero professionalism or accountability. I don't come into the city often, but when I do I like to try new places. Sadly, this experience was disappointing and the customer service was extremely poor. I would honestly say save your time and money and go somewhere that actually values their customers--especially in this economy. Time is money, and money is time. If a restaurant doesn't respect your time, they're definitely not going to respect your money. As for the food, it was very basic and lacked flavor. They were also very stingy with the sauce, which made the bowl even more dry and underwhelming. Overall, between the poor service, long wait despite ordering hours ahead, lack of accountability from staff, and mediocre food, this place was a big disappointment. I will not be coming back. There are plenty of better places that actually value their customers. Thank you and have a nice day.

She spent a good portion of our "turn" chatting with another waitress before finally turning to us--still with zero eye contact. We ordered a cioppino, a clam chowder in a sourdough bowl, fish and chips, and a dozen oysters. I noticed she shouted the soup orders back to the kitchen but didn't say a word about the fish and chips. When I specifically asked her if she got the fish and chips, she said "yes," took my card, and sent us to a table. Our soups and oysters arrived after 15 minutes, but another 30 minutes passed with no sign of the rest of the meal. When I followed up with the same waitress to check on the status, she looked at the order and flatly told me there were no fish and chips on there. By that point, the restaurant was already closing. If you're going to stay open for customers, you should at least provide basic communication and hospitality. I won't be coming back.

When we arrived, the restaurant wasn't even full, but no one greeted us for several minutes. Eventually, a waiter came over, and when I mentioned our reservation, he seemed confused and said they don't take reservations for parties under six. I tried to explain that someone had taken my information over the phone, but he interrupted me multiple times and didn't let me finish. He then walked over to another group behind us and asked if they were there first, even though we had arrived before them, which was frustrating. We were eventually told there was space available at the bar seating (bar stools) instead of a table. At that point, we were tired and hungry, so we accepted. Unfortunately, the service didn't improve. The waiter seemed rushed and disorganized--he couldn't remember our order and had to ask us which dish belonged to who when the food came out. As for the food, it was okay but not memorable. My ramen was just average--the pork was dry and the egg was overcooked. Overall, the food is decent, but the service really needs improvement. This particular waiter clearly needs more training, or possibly a different role, as the level of service did not meet basic expectations for a restaurant. Our second visit left a bad impression, especially since it was our last night in San Diego. Sadly, we won't be coming back.
