*Update August 2018-Ashley did not call me again after the first time and did not override any charge. I received 1 phone call and was told they would not waive the charge, and I would need to pay it if I wanted to come back. Hannah moved to Lussuria Salon anyway, so I still see her monthly. She is the best!* I used to love this place and Hannah, but I will find somewhere else to go. They are good at texting and emailing asking you to book an appt and used to call and text to remind you of your appt. The time I don't get a reminder, I missed my appointment due to my mind being elsewhere with my sick kids. I get a call asking for my card to charge to pay for my wax I missed for the very first time. It didn't matter to them they forgot to call or text, but they wanted me to still pay for my service. They just lost a good and loyal customer that scheduled monthly, and they will also lose my referrals as well. Sad the management team doesn't give any grace at least once for a missed appt, even when they also screw up and don't send the reminders the customers are used to getting. read more

I always see Adriana and Hannah - but I love that I can call and get an appointment rather quickly. The customer service is really good. There are a few great skin care products to choose from also - I love the James Read overnight tanning gel. It's the best one I've ever used and I get a lot of compliments on my tan. The best part is that the people are awesome. The hard wax doesn't remove all of the hair as much as soft wax with strips does - but I'm really satisfied with the results and feel that it's better for my skin overall. read more

There is really nowhere else in Eugene that even comes close to Urban Waxx, in any regard. I constantly live in fear that they're going to go out of business due to being "too nice." Everyone who works there is extremely professional and fantastic at what they do. Their products are amazing--the Serious Serum is a must. Hours and availability are great, staff and facility are nice. But, I find the actual wax to be too slow and just not that great. They also have the highest prices in town. I have had them call me literally one minute past my appt time to see where I was (uhh...locking my car door and about 10 feet away). I love coming here, everyone is very professional and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I get my brows done somewhat regularly and I've always been happy with the result. The products I've been reccomended have been fantastic. I've been to several other boutiques and this is the one I keep returning to. I got a Brazilian from Aurora and couldn't be more impressed by her skill and demeanor. My session was short and painless and we had a nice conversation that distracted from what can be an uncomfortable and awkward procedure. The facility is beautiful, waxing rooms are very comfortable and pleasant and you are always offered a beverage in the waiting room. I have had my brows waxed for years and I have it done every 3-5 weeks. My schedule at work has changed and thus, my hunt for a new salon started. Urban Waxx Eugene is conveniently located both from home and my other frequent visits to downtown. Coming in for a mini touch up is already a mini spa getaway. I enjoy coming here. They greet me like a friendly neighbor. They have tea and snacks at the lounge area I can munch on and they even have mimosas! My first visit included filling out an intake form and it was a dry erase laminate...it's indicative these ladies do not like to waste a lot of paper! The clean and chic waiting area has a variety of current magazines to peruse through though I've only stayed at long enough to finish my mimosa after a service since I usually do not wait for more than 3 minutes when I arrive. There's a credit card hold for missed appointments or late cancellations, which is absolutely understandable. The ladies I've worked with (Kristin and Aurora) have been professional and kind, and they have amazingly, waxed my eyebrows with nearly no pain. read more

Finding a new place to get waxed at is always scary because you're exposing yourself! But right when i walked in, the receptionist was so friendly and offered me a drink right away! I showed up a couple minutes early and they were already ready for me! I saw a lot of posts about other estheticians, so i went to someone who wasn't listed. i had Nikky do my Brazilian and she made me feel so comfortable and it didn't hurt! i told her in the past it hurt really bad. and it was like nothing happened! she kept a great conservation and gave me great tips that'll make it even less painful next time! i always see her! read more

Fun experience! Waxing is not fun, but the gals at Urban Waxx make it as pleasant as possible with champagne, snacks, fun conversation and more! Not only that but they are all exceptionally trained and know what they are doing. The products used make the experience that much better and sometimes even painless. One of my favorite things about Urban Waxx is that they have the ability to encourage you in your waxing, I know that sounds strange, but getting waxed isn't my absolute favorite thing to do but they are high energy, positive and encouraging and it makes waxing almost exciting!!
