I love that they made homemade products here I bought 2 soaps and can't wait to try them. The receptionist was friendly and offered me water while I waited. The wax tech Jazmin did a great job with my Brazilian. This is only the 2nd time I've been sugared and this time my wax only took about 20 minutes. Front desk girl is always nice, and I've had fast check ins with a 5 minute wait. The room set ups are cool with some decor and they allow you to clean yourself if needed before service. Okay so I'm giving my rating based off of the two Brazilian services I had by two different waxers. The first time, I went in April and was waxed by someone popular. For me it was excruciating only because I feel like she was waxing big chunks and rushing! I was done in 15 minutes. And I realized they do quick turnarounds to get in the next client for more money. That tells me they want QUANTITY OVER QUALITY. She did give me a quick mirror check, I browsed and thought I was good until I got home. I plucked over 100 hairs at home. ‍ I don't want to give up on the company I figured let me try another waxer. The second time this girl was very nice and did take her time. Our session lasted almost the full 30 only because we talked a lot maybe. The only mishap was hair began growing couple days which let me know the hairs were not pulled from the root, only broken off. So again, I went back to plucking, a lot. (I'm not sure if they're waxing against the hair growth. That's very important.) I'm not sure if this is a sugaring thing or what, but I'm still looking for a great waxing company that can do a top tier job. In the past, wax strips were my go to. I started going to urban when I found out I had hidradenitis suppurativa aka HS. Waxing your armpits and groin is preferred over shaving so I set up an appointment with Jessica. I explained my condition and she was so gentle and professional with me I didn't feel self conscious at all. I also tried the "vagacial" treatment for the scarring and pigmentation due to HS and it was such a fun experience. Jessica also does extractions of ingrowns and doesn't miss a hair. Jowen girllllll! she did me so right today. I don't need to get sugared as often since I've done laser but when I do, it's often quite uncomfortable since it's such long stretches in between. Jowen was amazing with her technique and bedside manner. Very unfriendly policies. Watch out for hidden fees like late fees, cancellation fees, card charges etc. They are cash or card only. No Apple Pay or convenient tapping. Twice they rushed me in and out without thoroughly waxing, even after additional plucking. I was very forgiving since they are supposed to be a small business, though the vibe is wanna be corporate. I feel a way using the toilet there after bikini waxing since they have no toilet seat covers. Unsanitary. Some practitioners are very nice, but appear to be stressed and unfocused while they rush through sessions. I don't blame the workers. I wonder if they're compensated fairly by management? Their products are low quality toxic ingredients under the guise of natural overpriced products. Read the labels. My friend died suddenly and I needed to reschedule, same day. I was obviously devastated and they were very rude about it. Defo not people friendly. It gave total exploitative vibes with zero emotional intelligence. They coldy droned that I "signed a contract", so they charged me a same day cancellation even though it was hours in advance, and when I called earlier they confirmed the wrong time. Yes, the WRONG TIME. Their fault. What a mess on top of a mess. I'm a busy mama entrepreneur and they really made my day harder. Very un-spa-like. Very gross. Very unprofesh. Very disappointing to support a small business that cares ZERO percent about customer satisfaction and comfort. Oh well... After pouring hundreds of dollars into this business over the course of months, I've decided to take my money elsewhere. Going back to Eli's which has better ratings and has treated me like a valued customer. Worth the 5 min extra drive, hands down. I called on a Saturday morning that I had nothing to do and asked if I could get a chin wax today she said yes at 11:15. Great. Then I said can I please add on Brazilian and underarm and she said sure. She can you come at 11:00 I said yea no problem. Then she said no I meant 11:15 which was fine too because I have nothing to do today. She sent me a survey to fill out and we hung up I then got a text confirming the time of my service and then 1 minute got another text that said I had an appointment at 11:30 for multiple services (I've attached the text). Cool I made some breakfast and left my house at 11:20 because I know in Long Beach parking can be a pain point. At 11:25 as I'm trying to find parking I get a call saying that I was late to my appointment, I said but you sent me a text saying to come at 11:30 I'm not late yet and she tried to explain the different appointment times and they would try and fit in all 3 services but it was not guaranteed since I was late. But I wasn't late. You need a better system because the way the text is written it sounds like she pushed all 3 of my services to 11:30. I told her I didn't want to come in if I couldn't get them all done so I find some where else to go. Frustrating make sure you call if you going to but an appointment here to clarify what their system. **UPDATE since the owner wanted to respond. As I said in my original statement the woman who answered the phone had said mutiple times and i get a text message again with mutiple times it's confusing for the person trying to be serviced. But from your response you don't care which is makes me happy I chose not to continue with the service. read more

They are both wonderful and a warm welcome after a horrible experience at a chain salon. SoSo clearly has tons of experience, I hadn't been sugared in MONTHS and it was still not even close to the pain of the last place. Even though Phadya is newer she did a wonderful job and I truly appreciated that she continued to check in with me to make sure everything was feeling ok, she also made sure to check with me that everything looked good before finishing, she's only done this a few months and it was still WAY better then the chain salon! I came in for an underarm and Brazilian sugar wax. I got it done with Phoenix and she was so aggressive sugaring to the point she gave me a burn scar on both my underarms. A day later I still feel the pain from the wax, I addressed the issue with the lady at the front desk and she said that's my skin color which is far from the truth. I asked Phoenix to be a little more gentle but she continued to be more aggressive even with the Brazilian. You would think they would be gentle in a sensitive area. I never got a call to check and see if I was okay or anything. I don't recommend booking with her tbh unless you want a burn scar read more

The work space was very well decorated,clean and well lite. Parking is in the back but Iucked out with a spot right up front. Soso, thank you so much for my first sugaring experience. First off soso was super knowledgeable, and gave me a great run down of everything before even proceeding. She made me feel extremely comfortable and we even shared a few laughs during the session. I have never been waxed let alone sugared. So to get a Brazilian for my first wax experience, I was pretty nervous. Soso was quick and made sure to check on my well-being during the entire session. I shared some concerns with her and after she showed me some great all natural products they make "in-house". I got the brightening bar, ingrown serum, and a body scrub. All three products extremely amazing so far. It's been 4 days since getting waxed and I'm extremely pleased with the current results. The receptionist were okay to say the least. So I called and asked if they took male clients as I seen another review saying they don't. Well that was a lie, actually they do just not for a man's Brazilian as they aren't trained in it yet.
