Today was our second visit to Urban Pawz since moving into the area and we absolutely love it! They take great care of Frankie. I've been happy with his hair cut both times! We like to keep our Goldendoodle shorter for a low maintenance look and they do a great job of making him still look like a teddy bear. The staff at the front is always so nice! Thankful to have such a wonderful groomer in the are.
Lori and her crew do the best job with our dogs! Not only is the environment pet friendly because it is cage-free, but you can get an appointment pretty quickly. "Gypsy", my older dog, is not particularly fond of getting groomed, but when she gets to Urban Paws, her whole body literally wags when she sees Lori. Lori is always very receptive and listens to what I would like to have done with Gypsy. I typically get her bathed and groomed and her nails clipped. If I want her groomed differently compared to how she was groomed the previous time, Lori makes note of these requests. I would highly recommend Urban Paws to anyone who is looking for a groomer for their dog. You and your dog will be happy. Don't give up if you don't get a call back right away.
The team at Urban Pawz do a great job. Consistent results and my dog is always excited about visiting, unlike when we used to go elsewhere. The owner is a sweetheart and provides friendly customer service. Highly recommend!
I took my dog Scooby in for a full groom with Kelsey at Urban Pawz Salon. Kelsey greeted us and went over what I'd like done and had me fill out some paperwork. She was so friendly and the salon looked nice and clean. When I picked Scooby up he looked AMAZING! It was beyond my expectations and Scooby was so relaxed and happy which was exactly what I was hoping for. I always worry about leaving him at Grooming Salons because he is pretty anxious at times and I don't want to overwhelm him or cause too much stress. Kelsey showed me that Urban Paws is the place to go and I have nothing to worry about when it comes to the care and safety of my pup. I will be coming back and I recommend Kelsey to everyone! She's awesome. I met the owner, Lori when picking Scooby up, she was very friendly and caring as well!
This was our third attempt at finding a groomer for our 8 month old mini golden doodle, and they did not disappoint!! The groomer took the time to ask us questions about what we wanted, and when I showed her a picture, she talked me through what we could/could not do realistically. Not to mention our pup Bao was SO happy in the salon. We have found our new groomer and will be back!
Thrilled with the grooming Kelsey from Urban Pawz did for Henry today. Lori is the owner and a genuinely nice person who you an tell loves dogs. Kelsey took the time to understand what I wanted for my dog and listened while I explained the prior experiences from poor groomers. She made suggestions that gave me a real comfort feeling leaving Henry with her. I was thrilled with the results and best of all my dog came home calm. They don't groom multiple dogs at once so my dog wasn't crated. I watched for awhile because I arrived a bit early to pick him up. I could watch through a window and while at a distance he knew I was there but didn't get anxious. That's a sign that he was comfortable in this environment. That's a big plus in my opinion. Finally a reputable, professional and welcoming environment for both of us.
Took our labradoodle in after trying three different groomers over past year and have finally found the perfect groomer for Carmen. She was comfortable and happy and came out looking gorgeous! The staff was great with asking questions about what we did and didn't like about our last groomers and we will for sure be coming back.
DO NOT take your dog to Urban Pawz! They got our dog mixed up with another dog and gave our dog the wrong haircut! They shaved my beautiful doodle because they got her mixed up with another dog who is a totally different size. Now she will be without her coat into the fall/winter cold months. Thank god my husband arrived in time before they gave our dog to the wrong owner! Our usually groomer Nicole who recently left Urban Pawz was wonderful and this was our first time with a new groomer since her departure and to say it went horribly is an understatement. The owner couldn't even take the time to rectify the situation or take any accountability and instead hid in the back while one of her employees apologized. I'm sure other dog parents can understand that our dogs are truly our babies. We should be able to trust that they will be safe at the groomer. To think she could of left with someone else sunk my heart. Of course hair grows back but we've worked very hard to take care of her fur to keep her mat free and now to think she will have to go through fall/winter cold months without her fur because her groomer did a different dog's haircut on her is unacceptable. In response to the owner's comment: As the owner and leader of your organization you never called me or came out to discuss how and why the mix up happened. You sent your employee out to do that. That is fact. You only called me after seeing this Yelp review which I find troubling and self serving. If it weren't for this truthful review you otherwise wouldn't have reached out. If you didn't discover the mix up prior to the end of her groom you would've sent her home to the wrong owner. So instead of blaming the customer who you've wronged take accountability and use it as an opportunity to change your processes to increase safety and prevent another mistaken identity from occurring. You thinking that not charging us for a botched haircut is some kind of compensation is ridiculous. Not only did you deliver the wrong cut on our dog, but the one you did deliver was horrible as you can see from the photo.
I loved the idea of supporting a local business and my labradoodle needed a trim badly! For 100$ they did nothing above his neck. I specifically asked to leave his tail but it is completely cut :( i asked for a traditional labradoodle cut with fluffy legs and tail and got a Frankendog. They said I could come back but honestly just do it right the first time. I won't be going back
Hands down best pet grooming I've been too! They put him a little tie went in with my dog looking like and old man left with a baby looking dog The owner is super sweet and so are the employees. Left my dog well groomed and smelling really good. My dog was super happy running around the place with other dogs! Love this place I recommend it 10/10 they exceeded my expectations

We went to Urban Pawz on a recommendation for our timid puppy and the staff was amazing with her! We were nervous leaving her there since she's so clingy but she handled it like a pro and when we picked her up we had one fluffy soft puppy!!! They are our official go to groomer! read more

I have put off getting our dog Russ groomed for so long. I've heard horror stories about groomers being too rough, too rushed, facilities not being clean, etc. It's so hard to know who to trust. After reading numerous 5 star Yelp reviews, I finally decided to try Urban Paws out. Safe to say they exceeded our expectations! The owner Lori immediately greeted us and made me feel so welcome. When you're a nervous dog parent, that means EVERYTHING. We then met Kelsey who helped groom him and she was friendly, caring and informative. The shop is very clean and well kept. He has never looked better- he is so soft and smells SO good. We live near Hillsboro and it is worth the drive. 10/10 recommend!! read more

My dog Alfie is the neediest and most cuddly/lovey dog I've ever met. We had previously taken him to Petco to be groomed and the last time I picked him up he would yelp any time the staff tried to touch him and he even tried to bite them! Clearly, something went very wrong when he had never had grooming issues prior. Anyways, we were understandably very nervous getting him groomed again but we explained the situation to the staff at Urban Pawz and they made us feel much more comfortable. Ultimately we had an amazing experience. First and foremost, a happy dog. Second, wonderful grooming! He looks so damn cute. Will definitely bring Alfie and our other dog back here. read more

I would give more stars if I could for this business! Bogie has been here three times now, & I will never take him anywhere else! They only have a few pups at a time on deck. The team really personalized their approach to my pup. Kelsey is so kind and patient even though my 6 month old pup is a total rascal. We are so lucky to have this place in Tualatin. read more
