We have boarded our dog who has anxiety issues and the staff is very friendly and adore my little girl. She does at times take her time to warm up to people but the are very food with her. We also use them to trim her nails since she is comfortable with the staff. Chanel snuggled under her blankets while being boarded back in January due to a severe family emergency. The staff where very attentive to both our needs and hers during our difficult time. She was there I think for 2 wks. I wanna thank you all for making her feel comfortable and soothing her while we where away and giving her extra TLC while we where attending to our emergency situation.

Sniff has been great with our pup, Renly. He especially loves their group agility class and the report cards with pictures of the session are nice to have. Each time we go he's super excited and the staff does legitimately seem to care for him and his well being. He got a bit stressed with the increase in new dogs lately due to the pandemic so we've not been going as often. I received notification that they're changing the format a bit so I think it should help a lot and look forward to getting him back in.

Molly stayed at the Sniff Hotel while we were away 1 1/2 weeks. She got the sniffles and Shannon, who works for the Sniff Hotel, took Molly to the vet. There was no extra charge for doing this. She sent me pictures of the entire trip to the drs, before, during and after the exam. I am so impressed on how they care and treat the animals here. I am completely confident that my Molly is getting the best care while I'm away. I highly recommend this establishment.

Ask the Community - Sniff Dog Hotel Beaverton

Does Sniff Beaverton take puppies who have had all their immunizations? My wife and I are looking to get a golden retriever puppy and are trying to find good places for puppy socialization and daycare.

Yes they do! They have a program where they evaluate the puppies first to see how they do, and all good they let them play an hour, rest and then play again. We took our pup there until she was 6 months old; but because she's not spayed yet she… Read more

He just stayed at the new location for three days and we're thrilled the service was just as good as the Portland location!

This pandemic and the immediate changes to everyday life have been quite impactful for many of us. And for a business which relies on people dropping off their fur kids on the way to work, one can only imagine the repercussions! Brian has kept the daycare open throughout the pandemic, as a resource for essential workers, as well as those of us who rely on some socializing and exercise for our pups during the week. The staff has been wearing masks, requiring masks, meeting dogs at the door to limit contact. And keeping the facility sanitary and safe. All while coping with the flux in staffing and scheduling. The facility remains clean, safe, and in fact has been upgraded in several areas to help keep the play area cool, "fresh" and comfortable for both dogs and staff. I encourage pet parents who have been clients to please keep supporting Brian and his team. And if you are new pet parents, or new to the area, please consider Buster & Lilly's for your fur baby's needs. They are terrific!

I'm posting this now after reflecting on my dog's daycare history over the years, as this was the…read moreonly facility where we had a negative experience. Several years ago, I brought my dog here for daycare. During one drop-off, as I was about to drive off, he was able to bolt out of the facility and ran across the parking lot (in the dark!). Thankfully, a passerby caught him quickly and he was not injured, but this raised serious concerns about supervision and containment during handoff. After that incident, I continued bringing him back to use up pre-paid passes. From that point on, he always refused to leave the car-which made me concerned. Staff later told me he had developed a humping habit and said that if it continued, he would not be able to return. This was difficult to reconcile with what we experienced elsewhere. After we finished our passes, we used another daycare in Beaverton, where he had no issues. Since then, we've moved states a few times and gone to multiple other daycares in different locations, and he has consistently done well without any behavioral concerns. I understand that staff and policies can change over time, so this may not reflect the current operation. However, I think it's important to share past experiences related to safety and how dogs are handled following a stressful incident.

My aussie got her first heat cycle at 8 months and I was told she was allowed back in a few weeks once her cycle was complete. She was attending day care and training sessions a couple times a week. Unfortunately, I had some other personal matters come up and will be moving so I asked for a refund. They will not offer a refund on services and offered store credit instead. Okay, fine. I scheduled a weekend boarding to use up my remaining credit and I get a text this morning asking if my dog was spayed, if not she was not allowed to return. I understand the need for the policy but I was never made aware and was told previously by a staff member it was not necessary. I am not in a position to get her spayed right now, plus I am moving states next month. They still refuse to offer a refund of nearly $300. That is a good chunk of money that apparently they intend to keep. Doesn't matter that store credit never expires, I will not be able to use it. They made a mistake with lack of employee knowledge on policies and refuse to right their mistake and now stealing my money. This is wrong. I was emailing the owner back and forth and I am disappointed with their handling of this situation. I had my dog groomed and bathed on 2 separate occasions and she came back with mats and not dried properly. Some staff members were very standoffish and unwelcoming at drop off. There is no access to cameras and I was denied access to the facility to see where my precious pup would be. I do not recommend this facility.

I was afraid to leave him alone and I was at my whits end. Then Tamara saved the day. I sent my "little" anxious boy to her and he came back a big brave boy. We did a 4 week board and train with her and it was worth every penny. He is like a completely different dog now. He can relax now both inside the house as well as out on adventures now. Now every time he wants to panic, he looks to me first, and he see's that I am fine and settles right down. Honestly I have been recommending Tamara to everyone I can. She was beyond patient with both my little anxiety pup, as well as with me (texting her almost daily to check in). The fact that she made a custom training plan just around his special anxiety needs was amazing. Since he came home he has been a dream. We even did a weekend out at the beach and he came every time I called (this dog had zero recall before Tamara). Tamara still checks in to see how my pup is doing and it's that extra thoughtful layer of caring that I can honestly say I will be sending him back to her for boards as well as her amazing Trecking paws hiking club. If you are anxious yourself about getting a lending paw to help your pupper call Tamara. She is the right call to make. She takes the worry out of giving your fur baby to someone with her thoughtfulness, calm demeanor, and skill to see exactly what your dog needs.

I had met with other trainers and actually been turned away because they said they could not work with us. Bramble and I had been in conflict for about 18 months by the time we met Tamara. He was incredibly leash reactive, guarded both myself and his resources (food/his kennel), and wouldn't allow people to enter our home. He reacted with snapping and biting if asked to do anything that wasn't in his agenda (which was many things due to his anxiety). I had practiced overly gentle positive reinforcement with him and avoided situations that triggered him; instead of helping, this made his behavior far worse. Tamara clocked Bramble's issues after less than 30 minutes when they met (although she took plenty of time with us to exchange questions and get a full picture of our situation). She was confident and comfortable handling him and didn't let him bully her like he was bullying me and my partner. I could tell that Bramble responded to her handling right away as well. Bramble did 4 weeks of B&T that completely changed our lives. Tamara helped him face progressively more challenging situations to build confidence, trained fantastic recall using e-collar tone and stim, worked with his comfort being handled and groomed, and returned a dog that was ready to work together with me going forward. I am so grateful to Tamara and Doglingual for giving Bramble and me a second chance at a happy life together. I've been able to continue training him with Tamara's guidance, and I know that we will continue to grow because she gave him the foundation he needed to really enjoy being a dog.
