I had an incredibly positive experience with Renton Vision Source, which began with making my…read moreappointment over the phone and continued through all stages of my appointment and selecting glasses. Making the appointment was very easy, and I appreciated being sent the forms in advance to complete before my appointment time. When I arrived, explaining my printer had not been working, the person at the front desk was extremely kind and understanding and had no problem with my emailing the forms back so they could print them (I apologize for not remembering her name--I am terrible at names). The appointment started a few minutes early (which was great), and Dr. Alison Jensen was wonderful. She was kind, thorough, attentive, and really personable. She answered all of my questions, and was happy to show me all of the images of my eyes and explain what each element meant (which I loved). She also talked me through my lifestyle and concerns I had about my vision, provided all my options, and made her personal recommendation for how I proceed. I really appreciated all the thoughtful care and how she provided realistic options for me. When my appointment was over, she walked me up front and I was greeted by a second person who asked me if I'd like to look at frames on my own, with assistance, or if I'd like to take my prescription home and shop elsewhere. I really appreciated all the options, and opted to have her assist me in selecting glasses. Their available selection of both glasses and sunglasses is excellent. She asked me thoughtful questions about my preferences, talked me through common concerns and feedback about different frames, and provided her recommendations without pushing me in any direction. I ended up selecting frames there and then she walked me through each pricing point, the fees involved, and all my options. She even made sure to let me know which aspects I did or didn't need (such as anti-glare, transitional lenses, or a higher-quality lens for the glasses--I only got one of those three things after consultation) (I apologize for not remembering her name either--I really wish I did for everyone there). Overall, the experience was so stress-free, transparent, and personal. I felt very seen and well taken care of by everyone there, and highly recommend them.

She almost looked annoyed to do her job?? I was kind of taken aback by her attitude. The optician proceeded to say "you have no bridge at all" in a rude manner almost insulting my looks. The doctor owners, the father and daughter duo, must train their staff better to be more culturally sensitive when working with Southeast Asian patients and not insult our racial features. Is the Optician racist? This was the only takeaway I had walking away from this experience. Not to mention the awkward front desk situation. They have two front desk people, when you are talking to one, the other front desk person just stare at you the whole time. I felt so insulted and racially profiled that I asked my husband to call and cancel my lenses with them. Also, how are lenses $240 after insurance?!!! On glasses USA you can get at least three pairs including lenses for that price.

If my luck in the dating world improves, then I would say money is no object. If I can start reading print books again, then I'll consider myself beyond satisfied. I did start feeling some discomfort in the repaired eye about seven months later and took them up on their offer for another complimentary check up. The doctors were again friendly and patient as they examined and determined that night dryness was causing the discomfort. They told me what ointment to purchase and how to apply it. One month later, that discomfort is gone. Again, they could have done the lasik, taken my money and said, "sayonara." But they instead continued to follow up with ongoing concern for my eye health and recovery. You don't experience customer service like that from many businesses these days. Triple thumbs up for my renewed 20/20 vision and the ongoing support this facility continues to show. Thanks again!

I've been coming here for quite a few years now and I've never been happier with an optometrist…read more As someone who has been wearing glasses and contacts my whole life, I have dealt with many offices with a 'turn & burn' customer service style. Eyes on the Landing have always left me feeling they care and understand any concerns. The Doctors and sales people are super helpful and personable. The one time I had an issue with a box of faulty prescription contact lenses, they did right and replaced the box for me with no charge. This weekend we dropped in to purchase a pair of glasses, I was pleasantly surprised when they happened to have a frame and art show going on. The selection of their hip and fashionable frames were larger for this particular event. They also had a raffle where other local small businesses donated gift cards, as well as offering wine and snacks. Everyone was very nice and uplifting while I was trying to choose frames. I ended up choosing 2 pairs because they (frames & prescription lenses) were 20% off. I am super excited to receive my quality and cute glasses in the weeks to come. I highly recommend Eyes on the Landing if you love supporting local businesses and enjoy quality customer service, as I do.

I don't wear contacts, so investing in high quality frames and lenses is a priority for me. When I compare glasses from other retailers with my glasses from Riverside Optical (formerly Eyes on the Landing), the difference is clear. If you're looking for high quality - unique glasses, great customer service, and a local family business to support, I highly suggest you go to Riverside Optical in Renton. To Donna and Kaylie: You both are awesome! I'll see you next year!

It has now been three weeks, and they still cannot tell me when I will get my glasses or why the delay. "It's a problem at the lab." What problem, specifically? In addition I will continue to share my experience here when anyone brings up local optometrist/glasses stores. I visited this location April 15 2025 for an eye exam, specifically to order contacts. The eye exam visit was decent (wait times, interactions standard) While not particularly warm and welcoming. First thing they asked me to do was to take out my current contacts. I went through the entire appt and conversations without being able to see anyone's faces. The exam was complete and I went to pay an additional money owed for co pay as well as additional box of contacts. They have to be ordered due to my prescription level and it's always taken 1-2 wks. 4 weeks later - May 2025, I kept checking my mailbox for my new contacts and they hadn't arrived. I called LensCrafters and was placed on hold for over 10 minutes. 6 weeks later - End of May 2025, I call back and reach an employee who casually states "your contact order for the brand you chose doesn't come in your prescription". I asked why nobody has called me to inform me my order never went through. "I don't know but you can come in and ask". Wow. So... 6 weeks and no order was ever placed? I've been wearing the same prescription in my preferred brand for years. 6 weeks and they didn't even call me to let me know? I paid in advance. 8 weeks later, June 20 2025 I went back in to LensCrafters. Apparently everyone goes to lunch at the same time so i had to wait until 2pm when they re-opened. I asked again why nobody has called me to inform me my order never went through. Or to come in to try samples. 8+ weeks later and I still don't have 2 boxes of contacts that I paid for in April. I told my MIL about this incident in general without stating the business name. Her reply? "It wasn't LensCrafters in the mall, was it? I've been waiting 4 weeks for my glasses and can't get an update from them." Ha
