    Coffee & cranberry orange scone

Great location with a game-store-esque vibe! It's open and full of light. The tables are pretty spread apart and they're big! Customer service was great and the cranberry orange scone tasted like heaven. We will definitely be back.

    Caffe Latte.

Was in dire need of coffee before work, so luckily this spot is literally across the street from work. I ordered a hot Caffe Latte. It was definitely pretty good for a chain coffee place. I enjoyed the "velvet foam" on top of my latte. I'm not a fan of chain coffee stores at all, but I think this is a solid place. Updated: April 2017; came here again and ordered the same Caffe Latte. It tasted horrible. I am now scared to retry this place again because of the inconsistency.

    Gameporium goodness

Seattle's Coffee Yelp Recognition Award: Best Foam Uptown Coffee is my coffee "go-to" in Seattle. While there is a lot of competition throughout the Coffee Capital, you can't beat their infamous Velvet Foam lattes. In true Coffee definitions, all their lattes would be considered wet cappuccinos... Their secret is not in the type of milk used, but the temperature at which they froth the milk. I have being mesmerized watching the art hundreds of times during my daily recurrent caffeine-lows, but let's not get into the fine details! Bottom line is their coffee + amazing foam topping with a dot = One spot on excellent coffee. No matter where I am in Seattle, I can make an Uptown Coffee run. Belltown, Magnolia, Interbay waterfront, Delridge, West Seattle, Alki, South Lake Union, Lower Queen Anne, Wallingford...they've got me covered. The majority of their locations have the tacky dark green carpet and artsy chalkboard menus, the space is nothing to be excited about. However, I will say that the Delridge/Youngstown location is the most spacious and unique with a Gameporium. Bookshelves stacked with alphabetized games for purchase are organized to the tee by someone as OCD as myself. Not to mention their antique painted walls that feature the historic Luna Park. The only downfall is the very limited amount of plugs if you're planning to charge your devices. All in all, give any of the Uptown Coffee locations a try.

Nice and clean place. Parking in front and conveniently located right off I 90 bridge. Their coffee and hot chocolate taste great. I just wish that girl who served me today wasn't that grumpy and smile little bit. It would make my experience much better.

I thought it was because the West Seattle location but their decor is a little old, dark, and depressing. Then my friend told me that all the other locations are exactly the same. Service was friendly and coffee taste foamy. The atmosphere could use some uplifting. Maybe it's just my timing but listening to someone singing "Cry Me A River" and other bluesy songs didn't exactly perk up my Saturday afternoon. Although I think the music fits the interior quite nicely.

Chai tea latte in its all velvety-foam glory (:

I'm a big fan of small local espresso cafes and Uptown Espresso is no exception. This location in particular is one of my favourite spots. It can be easily missed when you're whizzing by to and from the WS Bridge and the parking lot is pretty limited, but the people working there are so wonderful and the atmosphere is perfect for just about anything, from studying to catching up with friends. And I LOVE that it's also a game emporium, where you have the option of trying out some tabletop games before purchasing. My only issue is that their drinks aren't always consistent. I like my hot stuff hot -- I mean REALLY hot -- and sometimes my chai tea lattes come back lukewarm..... but they're generally very nice about redoing the drink if you ask nicely (:

The interior has themed rooms which are kept clean by Seattle and Goblin standards, but would be considered fairly dirty anywhere in Japan. It can get busy on the weekends, but this Goblin knows what it's like to be slammed, so I wait patiently and be respectful. It's nice to see an unpretentious flavor forward cafe run by young women doing so well. Their Hazelnut lattes don't lack flavor and taste like you "don't get it". Their coffee tastes like you were finally invited to the dance. While the market has decided that a Goblin will pay at least $8 for a coffee now, I'll fight back my Goblin tears and say "WORTH IT, WORTH IT, YOU ARE WORTH IT!". I took 1 star off because no place is perfect. I'd also like to see patrons of West Seattle businesses do more as a community to keep these spaces clean and tidy.

It was the beginning of February I had an interesting drink item there. Since I was debating between their mocha, chai, and latte. I had the best of three worlds. It just so happened that they were going to be putting their Valentine's specials out soon. That was going to be on their menu and it was suggested to me. It was very chai/spice forward which I like in my chai drinks. The Mocha profile was a bit faint for me as well as the espresso. They competed for my attention and the chai won out in the end. I can say I enjoyed it, but am more curious about how they are as their own individual drinks. Other worth while mentions. They don't currently make their own syrups, but since it's a popular question. I'm sure they are considering it a possibility I'm the future. Lastly, the individual who helped me. I didn't catch their name, but they were extremely nice and patient with me. Happily answered my questions. I highly recommend trying this place and can find myself coming back if I'm in the area I'm need of some caffeinated beverages.

There was some renovation going on, so there weren't any seats available for dine-in. The quality of the coffee was amazing easily one of the best I've had in Seattle. I also appreciated their efficient setup: the barista takes your order and makes it at the same time. You might have to wait in line a bit longer, but you get your coffee right away instead of waiting for your name to be called later. Just be prepared for a line, but it's totally worth it!

Per the cashier, unlike previous years, where they often sold Paczki for several weeks leading up to the celebration, this year, they will only have them on Tuesday. Apparently every single one is handmade by the owner, Pâtissier William Leaman, and this year, he's been too busy with the 2026 Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie competition as the US team's coach. That's certainly a great excuse! When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon a bit after lunch, this place was still quite busy with a line that stretched to the door, but not outside. As with the Burien location, I find the ordering process to be a bit of a pain; while there are plenty of workers to help, ordering is slowed due to the fact that the display cases are placed in a line and there's not much room in the building to maneuver to the desired display. In our case, while we had someone helping us all the way in the back of the line, we weren't able to select anything until we got all the way to the pastry case in the front. I'm not sure there's a good way to solve this conundrum, though. At any rate, we ended up only getting a single pastry (that was new to us) to try this time. Brown Sugar Pecan Brioche ($5) - This pastry looks like a glistening pecan sticky bun at first glance, with a cinnamon roll-like pinwheel structure and a brown sugar glazed pecan topping. Since it's brioche, I expected it to be dense, but soft, rich, and sweet. This bread is anything but. It's dense, dry, crumbly, almost clay-like in mouthfeel; basically everything brioche should not be. Instead of a sticky caramelized coating over the pecans, the pecans are glued on with only the thinnest of sugar coatings. The pastry doesn't claim to be a sticky bun, so it gets a pass there. Unfortunately the base layer is absolutely terrible, by far the worst "brioche" I've eaten in years. It has all the flavor of hard tack with the unpleasant mouthfeel of Play-Doh. Canned Pillsbury cinnamon rolls are far better than this waste of perfectly good ingredients. The owner should be ashamed to release this swill to the public. (1/5) Why am I giving Bakery Nouveau a 5? Because they serve some of the best twice baked croissants known to man. The Capitol Hill location is my go to for a sweet and buttery treat and I still recommend it to everyone that visits me, specifically for the almond and chocolate twice baked croissants. The paczki are no slouches either; probably the best we can get around Seattle. Bathrooms - Single unisex room. Note: There will be some walk in availability for paczki on Tuesday, but the cashier told me that they will likely sell out by 10AM. Looks like an early morning trip to the Capitol Hill location is in my near future.
