I would give this place -5 stars if I could. This is a long-ish story so buckle up for the ride!
Ordered a packaged September 6 with 2 day shipping. Should have been delivered to me September 8. It wasn't. The online tracking site said it arrived in Oakland September 7. So why was it not delivered the 8th? Now it's the 9th and still haven't received it. The online site says it's "In Transit" but it will be delivered the 9th. That doesn't make any sense at all. So I call UPS.
First of all, it took me 5 tries to get through to someone. The phones ring for 5 minutes then just hang up. After 15 minutes of trying, a girl finally answers and she seemed nice, but definitely didn't understand what was going on. Told her about my issue and she flat out said that sometimes drivers won't deliver heavy packages because they don't want to carry it, so they leave it in the warehouse to let someone else deal with it. That is ridiculous. It is your job to deliver packages! Don't be a delivery driver if you don't want to carry heavy packages!
So then she transfers me to a dispatch whoever to tell them to look for the package in the warehouse so I can come pick it up. On hold for another 25 minutes until some other girl answers and does not understand the situation at all so we have to start from the beginning. Finally tells me that someone will call me within an hour about my package. Well, no one did so I call back. Again, takes another 4 tries before someone answers. And this woman had the worst attitude and treated me with so much disrespect. Told me that I need to wait until someone calls me with the whereabouts of my package, and even said that it might take a WEEK to find it. Then I ask her, so is there anyone even looking for my package at this moment? She says, I can't disclose that information to you. WHAT?! This isn't the CIA, this is UPS.
So I yelled at her, which I kind of feel bad about, but come on! What is going on?! So now I'm certain that even when they do find the package they won't call me. I understand if you work at UPS and you don't like it (who would), but don't take it out on me and act like my problems with your jacked up company aren't valid.
But the saga continues! I didn't give up. The automated phone service said my package was in Richmond, so I called the Richmond holding center. This time, took 7 tries to get through to someone. Talked to a nice guy, told him my sob story, and after being on hold for 10 minutes, he told me that my package is in a trailer from the Oakland holding center going to the Richmond center to be delivered to me.... WHERE I LIVE IN OAKLAND. Why is the package going to Richmond, 20 minutes north of Oakland, when I live in Oakland, 10 minutes away from the holding center. And, how do I even know he's telling the truth? My package could've been stolen! And it's not like I'll be receiving the package tomorrow because they're not open on the weekends. So I have to wait until Monday, which by that time it will have been 6 days to ship to me. At the end of all of this, all I have to say is, UPS SUCKS AND NO ONE SHOULD EVER USE THEIR SERVICES. read more
