I will update after full experience, but as other yelpers have mentioned here, there is something wrong with this service. For my Costco online purchase, I gave all of my delivery and contact information, because tforce freight were supposed to contact me about shipment. They never did, but on their website they say they contacted "consignee" and arranged for shipment and a date was set. That's concerning when you know you didn't talk to anyone, because you wonder if they have proper info to deliver a large item (a gazebo in this case) or worse have talked to someone who is posing as you to get your item.
I'll be waiting on Monday at 8am (to 4, huge time span!) to see if it comes. I hope I'm not in for what these other yelpers have experienced, but it's feeling very familiar so far. As the other reviews have wondered, how do people stay in business, when they they do not operate as promised (we will contact you, schedule with you, deliver when we say we will, etc.)?
I'm pretty tolerate these days about people saying they will be late or have to change plans due to low staffing or delivery issues, but when you can't reach people or are told incorrect info w/o any notice, it's a different story. Communication goes a long way!
Update: Turns out, right after I wrote this, I pulled up my front blinds and they left my couple thousand dollar gazebo in my front yard two days early completely unannounced, so it sat outside overnight! I'd wanted it delivered to the back alley to take it in a wide back gate. Instead we had to move 800lbs of wood filled boxes through a small gate and to the backyard; my dad risking his back and me hurting my big toe. This is why PLANNING is important! And what would have happened if it was stolen, when they said it was being delivered on Monday on their website? read more
