UPS Dropped a $1,300 high end microwave off their truck. They approved my claim but never paid it. Even after I turned in the paper work with photos numerous times. NEVER going to use them again if this is the way they treat their customers. I did the right thing and reimbursed my customer. Sure would have been nice if they did the same. Drivers no longer leave a delivery exception notice on your door. Without that number, you can't reschedule to delay or pickup without going on to the UPS site and PAYING THEM MONEY! They deliver signature required weekdays only and do it only from 10-2, when people are at work! It's an extortion racket. That's a nice package. Most folks that follow me know I live in the sticks. I live in rural Texas which has its perks. I live minutes away from Austin where I can get my Yelp on; return to the howl of coyotes and chirping crickets. My house is away from the road about a quarter mile so I'm not bothered with the stress of street side living with pedestrians walking past my door. Add to that a powered gate that keeps the riffraff at bay. There is in fact two reasons to leave my gate open. One would be company is coming and the other I'm waiting for a package to be delivered. Hence the review for the folks at my localish San Marcos UPS distribution center. If your sensing the wheels are about to come off of Ol' Rooster's wagon you would be totally right. Here is the exhibits for your consideration: 1. Wife is getting an overnight signature required document for her recent car purchase - Left in our mailbox. 2. Grandparents from Colorado send Little Rooster a John Deere Tricycle for his birthday - Dumped at the gate. 3. New anemometer for my weather station - Dumped at the gate. The driver dumped a signature required priority envelope in my mailbox. They forged my wife's signature? Seriously, what the EFFF? My gate is open so I expect for the time I expose my residence to road traffic you better come up my driveway and hand the package over. I'm not being unreasonable; in recent weeks I drove in my gate and an 18 wheeler pulled in behind me because he thought I was the guy who was supposedly getting a load of rock. He had fun backing down as we had no room for his rig to turn around. City slickers get confused in my hood and I've been dealing with lost drivers for years; that's why I got the gate. The first problem is that this is a 3rd Party UPS Delivery Service, not an Official UPS Branch Store. I took the day off to receive this Business Package. Which ( required a signature. ) Well the 3rd party driver Marked ( Delivery Attempted. ) Yet, I was never notified by the 3rd Party Driver, or the UPS Tracking app. I called the (800 UPS Number) Managed to speak to someone, in which they reached out to ( April ) the local 3rd party UPS associate to call me back with a solution. Now, April informed me that she could not reach her driver, why? His phone was going to voicemail.. Every interaction I've had over the last 25+ years with this location has exceeded these expectations. The customer counter at this location, which is the local delivery/shipping hub, are limited so be sure you check their hours before showing up. Um Horrible customer service comes to mind but there would have had to have been service taken place to really say "horrible". They pretty much leave your shit anywhere they feel like it. It is my understanding that this facility processes UPS drop offs at my drop off box in Lockhart Texas. A few days ago I dropped off one of my favorite Kendra Scott necklaces to be sent back to them due to tarnishing. In return, Kendra Scott was going to send me a new necklace. Today, I received an email from Kendra Scott that my mailing envelope had been damaged and the necklace was no longer there. Yet, the received the paperwork that I had included in the envelope. So it seems to me that an employee has stolen the necklace out of the envelope. Thankfully, Kendra Scott has phenomenal customer service and will still be sending me a new necklace. Screw ups happen. The one that happened with my package was mostly amazon's fault, but both the ladies working the counter at UPS did everything they could to help me get my package. My Dad shipped a package to me 2nd Day Air. I tracked the package and saw where it arrived in San Marcos at like 1:15AM on the second day so I was happy. At the end of that day, I still had not received my package. I did the tracking thing again the next morning and my package had been sent to Chicago. I LIVE LESS THAN 1 MILE FROM THE HUB!!! After several phone calls my package is "out for delivery" as of 710AM on the 5th day. UPS keeps saying "I'm Sorry" and I told them they did not have to state the obvious. read more

This is for the Customer Center/Hub in San Marcos, not the company in general, or specific drivers you have issue with. Oh how much I hate UPS!! Would much rather use FedEx but when shopping online that is sometimes is not an option. So here is my complaint about UPS I ordered a package & chose ground shipping because the is the free option.Well they ended up shipping to the wrong address!They didn't use common since because they hire uneducated people (obviously)& there excuse is well we looked it up in our system and that was the last address that was on file. They rerouted to another flipping town?!? Where is the common sense in that I ask you? When it was clearly posted on the shipping label what town and zip code I now reside in. Shipment was expected 2/23/17well since it was diverted to another town it was delayed another day!& it being the weekend it will now not be delivered till Monday because they do not deliver (GROUND PACKAGES) on Saturday's.well I say they should at least deliver my package because of their mistake.Also I received two packages from UPS yesterday last known address my butt! read more

I am beyond disappointed with our UPS experience from the driver coming out of this location. For the past 4 months they have delivered paychecks late. They keep marking our commercial business as a residence and the driver has even argued that our business is a residence when it clearly is not a residence. It is a house turned into a school. I even called at 10 am today to ensure they had our paychecks with the commercial delivery. When I called to tell them the checks were late they hung up on me twice and refused to forward me to a manager. Most awful customer service I have EVER had!!! read more

This place is always close either am dropping off or picking up parcels. I took an instructions from their manager (another horrible customer service provider) at the Guadalupe store just to return a package, came here and it's close. I ordered a pair of glasses from the store; but due to my prescription they had to send them off to be made. I was told that the glasses would be to my apartment with in a week. A week went by and no glasses. I called the glasses store and they said they had shipped them out the previous monday and that they should have been there. After a few minutes the glasses store called me back and told me the glasses were at this customer center because there was no apartment number. That's understandable, but why did they not inform of this!? I called on saturday and they were closed all day even though they're supposed to be open. I called just now to ask about the glasses and they said that I would have to wait until four in the afternoon to come and get them. That can't happen since they're GLASSES! I asked if they could have them moved to the UPS location near campus so I could go and pick them up and they said they didn't have anything to do with that location. Ummmm....You're both owned by the same company, how can you have nothing to do with them? After arguing with the very rude lady on the phone she said that I could come by after 10 to pick them up. They have horrible customer service and the lady I talked to seems to only want to argue and place blame on the customer. If you can avoid going to this place at all, do so. Usually it is better if I pick up a package vs a delivery. I know this creates problems for UPS since they are all about delivery. They've been great to run down my package in the center when I call. If it is already on the truck, most helpful in calling the driver for information on dropping the package off. Always very helpful read more

My package requires an adult signature. I was at work when they made the 1st attempt at 2:00 on 11/25/14. No InfoNotice was left. I went online to track my package. I received an email that a 2nd attempt would be made 11/26/14. Gate was open at 5:30 am and stayed open until 9:30 pm. No one made a 2nd attempt to deliver my package. I was home all day and night. At 7:20 I received another email that the 2nd attempt had been made at 7:10 pm and no one was there to get package AND AGAIN NO INFORMATION NOTICE WAS LEFT because the Jackhole never drove up my drive or came to my door, most likely was not even in the neighborhood. So.... "What Can Brown Do For You"...crap all over you! Calling UPS customer service and going to their website is a dead-end loop of BS. Zero customer service is offered. I was told I could come pick my package up. Really? I paid UPS to deliver it to me. Then I was told I could sign up for "My Choice UPS and change the delivery address for an additional fee of $5.00". MY CHOICE IS FOR YOU TO DELIVER IT TO ME! I asked for them to deliver it to the UPS store located by my workplace and they said "oh we can't do that for you....you have to go online and change it yourself. Well according to your "Unacceptable Parcel Service/UPS" website I need the Info Notice number which again was not left. UPS does not meet the minimum standards of crappy customer service. EXTREMELY UNHAPPY with this over inflated company where the customer is the very last thing they think of. I should not have to pay for delivery, then take time off work and drive to pick the package up that I paid to have delivered or pay an additional fee to fix their lack of delivery in the first and second place! I hope vendors stop using Unacceptable Parcel Service and go to another carrier or maybe if the vendor I choose does use them, I'll buy somewhere else. I believe this is a management problem. Too many packages and not enough drivers. I'm sure the drivers are forced to say "attempted delivery" to make the UPS look good.
