I was told at this particular Pak Mail location that the lowest price to mail my larger package via USPS Ground Advantage was $88. I had already researched available prices in San Marcos online and knew that the USPS Ground Advantage price should be around $34. When I asked about this, the man helping me innocently continued to tell me the USPS Ground Advantage was $88. When I went directly to USPS to mail my package, they confirmed that that increase in price at the Wonder World Pak Mail (under newer ownership) was purely profit driven, can you believe the markup?! Stay far away from this shady shipping location. And remember, they do nothing but take the package here!, it's still USPS who picks it up from them and does all the work. read more

I left a package with a pre-printed UPS label on it for a return on Sept. 11, 2025. My UPS tracking number says it has not received the package. It has been 6 days. When I asked the employee to check back a week but he said he couldn't go back a week to see info on the scan. Now I have a return of $66.00 package somewhere to be deducted from my account and it's not happening. read more

Luna deserves a raise! Wonderful customer service! They really helped us out of a pinch. I am in the middle of relocating and we had a lot of papers that needed notarized. We went to this location early in the morning and they were super helpful. Luna was the person we worked with. She was so understanding and helpful when we got confused going through the stack of papers. She helped us stay calm and quickly helped other people too when we needed a second to find information. (Yes we were those people who didn't fill out the forms before hand.) She was just awesome. We will definitely be coming here for all our shipping and notary needs. The folks that used to run this franchise were wonderful; however, the current owners are HORRIBLE. I faxed a very important document through them last week and the pages were front & back. I specifically asked if the "even" pages (back sides) had gone through and they said they had. Come to find out that was not the case. This document had to do with a family member's death - not something to take lightly! I stopped by today to let them know that this occurred and that they might want to double check before confirming something that's not accurate. No apology, no offer to refund my payment, no acknowledgement that they had been in the wrong. They basically ignored me. There's another PakMail on Thorpe Lane that's MUCH better; friendly, professional staff who know their business and treat customers respectfully. Stay away from this place!! read more

Well the folks that run this place are nice enough and I've done a limited amount of business with them over the years mainly sending certified letters no problem. HOWEVER TODAY I went in to ship a package and WOW do they want a fortune for shipping. They quoted me $130 for shipping the package US POSTAL RATE they said. HMM So I took the package to the POST OFFICE and asked for the same shipping and it was only $45. They were marking up the postage price by $85. That's a 200% markup. I understand they need some markup but 200% is a bit much. Well when it comes to shipping packages I'm sure I won't ever go there again. read more

A couple of months ago I was getting everything ready to send out my brother's birthday box to be mailed out to Afghanistan where he was deployed. After work I made a quick trip to Pak mail. The staff there went above and beyond to help have this package mailed out. The lady there helped me curl birthday ribbons to put in the box, helped me pack it up and also even donated some calling cards to be put in the box. The first time I used Pakmail services at this location was great! I was taken care of by a gentleman who was very friendly. I ship a lot of items so I decided to use them again. The next few times I was taken care of by an elderly woman in which my experience was not so great. She treated other customers and did not engage in conversation with me. It was very hostile each time after that as well. I have prepaid shipping labels that just need to be printed. She charged me inconsistent fees each time. I never knew how much she was going to change and when I asked for a standard price, she just stated she charges a faxing fee. So $2 for one page print today and $5 last time for 5 pages printed. Don't even get me started on the inconsistent prices for packages and shipping costs. I'm not sure if she's pocketing the money or just doesn't give equal treatment. Whatever the case is with the customer service I received, I will not be using them again. read more

I had to ship 14 boxes of belongings from Texas to Washington State after my father died. They all made it and with NO DAMAGE. There was a clock, a large shadow boxed antique golf club, framed photos, and a computer and monitor among other things. They were not only packed to perfection as individual items, but double boxed with plenty of cushion room around them. While it's true that their prices are not the lowest, they gave me a "discount" for either the number of boxes I was shipping or because they felt sorry for me due to the circumstance. In any event, I would do it again with them in a heartbeat...all $1600 worth. Worth every penny when sending PRICELESS things that need to get where they are going safely. When it comes to amenities, they have them. That being said, their prices are highly unreasonable. They also told me they had military discounts, then handed me my receipt and dryly responded, "Oops, I forgot to apply the discount. Overall not a very good business model, and they need to lower their prices. The convenience is not worth 40-80 dollars for "overnight" shipping which isn't even guaranteed. read more

Went into this place to drop off a Comcast return box with preprinted label which had a faded portion but the tracking number was still visible. The female owner working the counter got upset and said there's no way to scan it at which I said all they need is the tracking number so let me write it out here to the side for them a few more times so that they can type it in. While I am copying the tracking number the husband owner comes out and stands in front of me. After I finish I say well here's the tracking number so they should be able to get it from that to which he replies "Do you really think the UPS man is going to want to type that in? Do you think that's going to happen?" I replied that I thought when they couldn't scan the label they just typed in the tracking number to which again he said that he was in disbelief that they would do it and didn't think that it would get done. He said "I guess if you want to leave it we can try it" to which I replied "No thank you I do appreciate your time have a good day" and left. It was funny to see the owner of the shipping store get so flustered over a very basic shipping situation. if you cannot handle a very basic shipping situation why would I ever do business with you. I went to a different ups trucking center that had a customer window in town and they said that there was no problem whatsoever and they didn't understand why the people couldn't handle the situation. I will never do business with this Pak Mail location unless they change owners. I can go anywhere to ship my stuff, heck I can go online, that's why you're supposed to have customer service in their type of business for which they have none. read more
