    This isn't so much a review of THIS facility as it is an indictment of UPS on the whole for their unreliable service and horrible customer relations. So I place an order, from a national retailer. I normally would just go pick up the order at a local store but the current circumstances aren't conducive so yada yada yada I order online. It's a time sensitive order and it's placed with reliance on the promise I'd have it in 2 days. The retailer does it's part, the shipment appears to be prepared within hours and handed over to UPS...and the sh*t show begins. Everything seems fine at first. Picked up Wednesday, scheduled for Friday. I see it tracked efficiently all the way up to my local distribution center about 3 miles away. Friday morning, UPS reports my package is on a truck and out for delivery by 7:00PM. Hours pass and 7:00PM comes and goes. By about 8:00PM my delivery status changes to Saturday by 7:00PM. I think ok, my driver must've fallen behind or just gotten tired and called it a day before finishing his deliveries. Maybe I'll just be at the front of the line for the next day. Saturday morning rolls around and my status changed again. This time, UPS says they didn't load the trailer in time, in Pennsylvania. I know, right? Like, WHAT? So I try to go online and can't get answers. I try calling and after 20 min the automated system finally allows me to talk to a human. Said human accidentally hangs up on me. Round 2, with improved efficiency and experience, it only takes me about 10 minutes to get to a human. Who says, "yep, they've had trouble with the truck." Can they put it on another truck? No. Can I just go pick it up? No. Is it REALLY at the location near me? Yes, but they're closed until Tuesday. Why didn't they load it on the truck today if it was out for delivery yesterday and not delivered? I don't know what you mean. When will it be delivered? Tuesday. (Spoiler alert. It's Tuesday night and I still have no package). So I ask if I can just have them hold it at the distribution center so I can go get it Tuesday, since the delivery service has so thoroughly failed at delivery? Yes! I just have to pay a fee since I don't have a whatever membership. So they can't handle, track, or deliver my package, and I can't relieve them of their incompetence without paying them basically a bonus for failing at their only job. No thanks. So apparently, either UPS lied all along and my package never was at my local distribution facility, or they carried it all the way from Florida to Pennsylvania and eventually bringing it back again. I have no idea at this point, and if I ever ever EVER have a choice to trust in their service again I absolutely won't. In the end, I had to just go buy another of the product because there could be no answer for this calamity. Whether it actually shows up tomorrow or ever is a matter for debate.

    I was pleasantly surprised when I found no long lines: not just after lunch, and not at 6 p.m. when I found not a mouse stirring (this was the week before Christmas) - just employees folding forms. No complaint on THAT, except if I owned UPS shares, should I contemplate selling them? Staff are friendly and nice, but the one from early afternoon was a little, well, slow. He also believes in over-doing things and doing things over. My perfectly wrapped box only required one strip of tape to secure it. He must have decided it was "better" to have the tape go over the box in various places (I'm not making this up) EIGHT TIMES! He then had to measure the box, presumably to see that it doesn't exceed maximum girth plus length, which would require a surcharge. When he had done the first measurement, and I noticed he didn't write it down or type it in, I said to myself: bet you he'll (have to) measure again! After the second time ... you know how this is going to go, don't you: dude measured that same box FOUR TIMES. At the third time, I was REALLY tempted to quip "You know the dimensions of that box isn't going to change - not in this lifetime anyway...", I think my tongue might have been bleeding a tad when I left. One thing you should know: packages dropped off may not be in the system until MUCH later on - I freaked out and went back when I found that to be the case. Apparently, their practice may be to let the packages pile up and have them scanned all at the same time. One more thing you should be aware of: you know how you could have a code generated to your smart phone instead of printing up your own shipping label when something needs to be returned to Amazon? Well they (being UPS) cannot read that code at this their own customer service center - you have to go to a franchised UPS store to get that done. You can file this under "What CAN'T "Brown" do for you?" I had to list this business even though it's been here forever. Hours are 9-8, with will call on Saturdays, 10-5. No picture did I take, but you're not missing much - if I did add one, it'll have to be in sepia, right? (ROTFL as my kids groan - I'm easily amused)
