I've never had this happen to me. I ordered something that was supposed to be delivered in store from Walgreens. One of the last stops before being delivered to the store was in this location. I placed an order earlyish November and said it'd arrive around thanksgiving. Nope. Stuck in transit. I contacted Walgreens after 2ish weeks being stuck in transit and they were going to send it again. Supposed to come yesterday December 18. Nope. Stuck in this location again for a WEEK. I called the number and the guy claimed they couldn't do anything because my tracking number doesn't start with 1Z and to call Walgreens (even though I gave him the tracking number from the UPS tracking site). UPS damaged a package and let it sit in their facility without informing me or the sender. I had to reach out to them to find out what was going on, and they informed me that I had to contact the shipper and the small business had to either refund me or send another package at their own expense because they weren't going to do anything about it. And the icing on the cake is that the customer service rep talked to me like I'm stupid because I was having a hard time wrapping my mind around how this was on me and the shipper to figure out when they were the ones at fault. I will go out of my way to avoid using UPS ever again and there's nothing that their response bot can reply with that will change my mind. read more

UPS passed my apartment again, driving 137 miles north of me, just so they can hand it off to my local USPS (POST OFFICE) for delivery. I was told by voicemail that a package would be held at the store on February 7th. When I arrived there on February 7 I was told they had already returned the package. When I showed them the voicemail from the employee {Denise) they said she made a mistake but there was nothing they could do about it. I agree with many of you reluctant to give even a meager one star to this UPS hub. My husband used to work as a DPS/preload manager at a larger Portland Swan Island UPS hub, so I know a little bit of inner workings of UPS distribution center. Loaders never load the delivery trucks one in the morning. My husband needed all the incoming trucks/trains information first before he made all the loading plans for 70 plus delivery trucks in his route (Skyline). Therefore, loading can't start till much later in the morning. They load the trucks in time for the trucks to leave the center around 8:30 am. Once the packages loaded in the truck, they won't go back to the center and reloaded next day. Remember during the Christmas time when we see the brown trucks still delivering in the neighborhood at 8 or 9 in the evening? I had another package got stuck at this Fife hub for 5 days last week according to tracking info. Repeating loaded in the truck, nothing happened, delivery delayed by one day, so on. Then, they dare to say after 5 days they had a wrong street address. Well, I checked with the shipper, and indeed, my street address was wrong (switching numbers). So I paid $6 to change the delivery to the nearest UPS store (I didn't trust this hub anymore of their honesty). Surprise! it was delivered next day. When I had the exact same mistake in my street address a few month ago, FedEx solved the problem on their own without extra fee and delivered the package to my house the next day. Now, my Amazon delivery is stuck in Fife (see the photo). Amazon says my 2-day prime delivery has been so delayed and may be lost, so they're willing to give me a refund. Will see! I am not going to pay $6 to UPS and go along with their playbook. I also wanted to share what the Amazon tracking info says about the shipment. Out for delivery at 1:45 am.....I bet it's too early for even EST. I'm not a conspiracy theorist or anything like that, but I've started wondering what UPS is telling Amazon about their shipment.... read more

Once again UPS has failed. This morning they delivered 2 packages, one addressed to our house and the other addressed to a house a quarter mile away. We can do the job UPS was paid for and deliver it to the correct address, or call UPS and wait on hold with an outside chance of getting them to pick it up. How could they have delivered it to the wrong address: 1. Driver could not read 2. Driver too lazy to read 3. Driver can not read clearly marked house addresses. 4. UPS management doesn't really care and gives drivers the option of delivering packages any where they would like. read more

I placed an order for a new phone. And, it was on back order through mid-December. Package was next day air shipped to me, with expected delivery on 22 December. The package was out for delivery and I even watched the truck go by. Truck then goes back to Tacoma and then I see that the package is "processing" here. Next, the package goes from processing to lost. I file a claim for my package but it's closed promptly because "I didn't have all the details on the phone (serial numbers, etc). We went to pick it up, complete with the printed out tracking history only to have the guy tell us "it's not here, I don't think it ever left the original ups store". After much hassle, and two weeks later turns out it was at the Fife center and they returned it due to me not picking it up (after I went to pick it up!) had to have it resent. Idiots. Now I have three packages somewhere with them that have been not delivered due to weather. Um, snows all melted, roads have been clear for days. Typical ups service ; they let you see it move around your house for hours and the fancy tracker says its almost there ... came within 2 blocks of me then left the area for 5 hours at which point I was tired of sitting at home waiting for them to figure out my overnight delivery wasnt here yet at 630 pm so said hold it ... 45 minute drive to get out there to depot with 30 mins to spare but wait truck not back yet and we close at 8 try again tomorrow. It may have just been lucky timing, but it was a quick & easy stop to pick up a package here in the evening. Show ID, sign the thingy, 'thanks' and away you go! On the other hand, the fact that I had to come here at all (and the ridiculous process for arranging to do so) was a fail for UPS. The UPS driver tried to deliver a package to my residence at a time when I was not available, and left a sticky note indicating that he would make another attempt the following day at around the same time (when, presumably, I would not be available again). The note also said that after the third attempt, the package would be returned to the sender. One of the options on the note was for me to arrange pick-up at the Customer Center in Fife-- to do so I had to complete an interview with a robot over the phone and then wait for a live human to call me back and tell me when and if I could come claim the package. Then there's time and money spent getting to the facility and back... But oh well, I got it! read more

It is unfortunate that people as a whole are more likely to complain than compliment. I too am guilty of this very ugly attribute. I do though make an effort to offer up praise instead of criticism. If we took even a portion of the time to acknowledge the positive as we do to point out the negative this world would be a better place. This place of business is not perfect (tell me where is) the people are not perfect (I only know of 1 who was) The UPS system is run by humans and therefore has imperfections as well. As it happens when people are at UPS they have a need, typically picking up a parcel or shipping a parcel. Sometimes other things....... Depending on the circumstance there can be a wide range of emotions. Happy, Angry, and everything in between. Hopefully the person assisting you will be able to meet all your UPS needs. Sadly they may not always be able to. Your frustration does matter. They all wish they could produce your package with the wave of a magic wand.... BUT it doesnt work like that.. You deserve to be treated with respect. I hope your experience is pleasant. Please be sure to have ID that matches the package you want to pick up. Either by name or address. This is beyond ridiculous. I was told that my package has been in a truck 3 different days. Was supposed to be delivered on Friday June 19 according to there tracker by 9pm. That never happen same thing on Saturday. Again no package. Again on Monday same thing . Again no package . They they said bad weather conditions! That is a flat tie. The counter employees and truck drivers that work from the Fife-Tacoma location are incompetent beyond belief! Several times the website has shown that an item is on the truck for delivery and that the truck was three to five blocks away from our house and the package has been delayed. My husband had them take a package back to the center where they lost it for several days. It shouldn't be too hard to see that a box has been left in the back of a truck! I do need to edit the review I posted earlier this evening. I was expecting a package by 9PM and did have the experience of seeing the truck 3-5 blocks away on the delivery map and then the map showed everything from here to Portland. I received an E-mail from UPS indicating my package would be delayed until tomorrow but then it showed up on my porch tonight at 10:20 PM!! Whoever did that went above and beyond and I appreciate that very much. I still think the shipment center as a whole could be more in tune with tracking and making sure they deliver all the packages when they are in the neighborhood. Lost my package. They say they sent it to my post office but my local post office never received it and they have been trying to help me get it from them. They have had it since February 8. All my efforts to get help from ups have been the generic answer of we gave it to your post office. Its now February 27 and still nothing. The items are not replaceable so I am very upset. This location now has another package they just gave to my post office and surprise my post office does not have it and neither do they. I wish senders would stop using smart post because this is the issue. I now refuse to purchase from any company that ships through UPS. I live in Tacoma, look up my address and you can actually look at a picture of my house, yet somehow UPS has continually left my stuff on porches of other homes. I live on a numbered street, stuff keeps getting left on named streets. Numbers versus letters, should be easy, right? Not for UPS. FedEx can find my house, why can't UPS. And they are not responsive, don't call back and could care less that they left your stuff at the wrong address - multiple times. It's the 7th day for my 2nd day air package. Third day in a row now, they can't deliver my package due to 'severe weather conditions'. It hasn't snowed since Monday. The roads are clear. It's Friday. 48 degrees in Fife today. No snow. I get an image in my mind of the drivers all huddling in terror somewhere in the warehouse, too afraid to go out. That said, to put it back in context, they will NOT HOLD MY PACKAGE at the terminal. Apparently, I am allowed to drive there and complain to them (apparently on the impassible oh-so-scary roads) but they don't allow me to put a hold on it at the terminal and pick it up myself. I live 1.8 miles from this distribution center. Each day they scan it in and put it on a truck. Where that truck actually goes is a question. Does it actually leave the facility? I suspect, based on the delivery distance for my package, that any of the drivers had to go a further distance to report to work than my delivery would be. Absurd. read more

Does UPS even care about all the bad reviews? Im not sure how they stay in business from bad customer service to no weekend deliveries, to costing sometimes twice what others charge. Then to top it off UPS now only makes one delivery attempt rather then up to 3. So now that UPS has an inconvenient locker location just 10 minutes from my home. (20 minute round trip, my gas and my time) They no longer make multipal delivery attempts. (Remember also, unlike other delivery services, UPS must have someone home to sign, and if you dont come to the door within 6 seconds, they leave) Now back to my review! So now it is just one attempt at your home, then you have to go pick up at the inconvenient locker location. (Which I thought would be better then before when I had to pick up at a location 30 min or more away in another city. Now at least my deliveries end up at this locker location. HOWEVER! the location is almost always full. So when I get there. It says sorry, locker full. We will attempt delivery to this locker on the next weekday. Then the next day. Locker is full, they will attempt again.. Then the next day. LOCKER IS FULL! Try again tomorrow. 11 days later still no delivery to locker as it is full every day. I guess it is polite of UPS to let people keep their items in the lockers for two weeks. However that keeps the rest of us from getting our package. How about 2 day max on lockers, Or how about having more then 1 locker? Its been two weeks and I still do not have my package. This is not my first time nor first complaint about UPS. I have dozens of stories why UPS is the worst delivery company on the planet. While, they could be the best. I will bet a weeks pay that if UPS hired me to come up with solutions to all of their complaints and issues. That they would double their profits and reputation. If zero stars could be given that's what I would do. Packages have been out for delivery 5 days in a row. Their own gps tracking map showed the truck within 1-1/2 blocks from my home. Nothing. Unable to call as the recording keeps hanging up. Email I did get a response saying they would call but again nothing. You have to wonder in what universe is this considered good business practice. I came home after work to a notice on my door stating that I had a package. I called the number on the back of the slip to set up a pick up at this location. After an hour, I still hadn't received the call from UPS saying that my package was ready like I was told I would over the phone. I decided that at this point, I could just drive over to pick it up assuming that my package was most likely ready. I drove about 40 minutes to this store from my apartment only to be told by a very unapologetic woman that she didn't know where my package was. She told me that the driver probably didn't scan the barcode on my package and that if I wanted to get it, I would have to come back in an hour between 6-8 since the driver would be back from delivery at six. At this point, I'm pretty much stranded in Fife while I wait because going home would be pointless. I came back at 6:45 to finally get my package. There was an entirely different woman at the counter at this time who explained to me that the driver was not back yet, but was only a few minutes away. I told her about the other woman and how she told me specifically to be here at this time. She explained that was an estimate and the customer service reps really have no idea when the drivers come back from delivery. She then told me to sit and wait and to remind her about my issue because she would forget about me otherwise. Customer service at its finest. I sat and waited for ten minutes until she asked me what my last name was, giving me hope that the driver may have arrived. No, I continued to wait. During this time, a UPS employee's pizza delivery arrived and the woman at the counter told her she would have to wait to deliver it because the person who ordered it was apparently very busy. I laughed out loud at how ridiculous this store is. After another ten minutes or so, I was reminded that my driver was still not back. The frequent updates were the only things about the visit to this store that I could appreciate. I waited until 7:30, thirty minutes before the store closes to be told that my package was in the system and that she would go back to find it. I was thrilled to get it and leave. She came back to the front after a few minutes and the rest of the process was fairly simple. All I had to do was show my ID, sign and leave. Overall, it took me three hours to pick up my package from the moment I left my apartment to the moment my mail was in my hands. I cant speak on this store's ability to ship packages from it, but from my experience, I have never been more frustrated trying to pick up a package before. I would say that if you can help it, avoid this store at all costs. I would have rather authorized them leaving my mail in front of the door of my apartment and risk it being stolen than go through all this trouble and waste an entire evening to pick up mail. I feel like a one star review is too generous for the quality of service this place provides. read more

I swear ups does not take accountability for nothing. I've had 2 apple products delivered to the wrong address twice. When I tried to get the issue resolved they told me to go online fill out a claim which wasn't helpful at all. They are at fault for not paying attention to detail when delivering my package. My address was correct and the driver failed to pay attention. I'm so sick of them! They said they received a signature and I didn't sign anything. Horrible ups facility. They have now "lost" 3 packages of mine within a 2 week span. A customer service representative admitted to me an employee had stolen 2 of my packages and then tried to back track on that. They repeatedly change delivery dates for no reason. When you call ups to speak with someone regarding your issues nobody seems to speak English or there is never a manager in supervisor that can speak to you regarding your issues.
