I see that CVS on Lake Street can address packages to be shipped along with the UPS store which has limited hours. I guess we just need the parcel pickup for signature issue addressed... This is a bummer, as it just puts another middleman in the way of a package getting directly delivered through the carrier. read more

UPS attempted to deliver an empty package to my house (the box was actually open), so my wife confronted the driver about it and he said he didn't notice it was open when he set it on our door stoop. Yet he literally set it down with the open side facing up. There is no way he wouldn't have noticed. She told him to return it to the warehouse as delivery not accepted, but he refused. She asked for his name, which he declined to give. She asked for his manager or supervisor's name, and he declined to give that as well. We filed a complaint with UPS...no one has yet to call us back. Terrible service! Delivery, not theft is what we typically expect from UPS. read more

When you miss the UPS truck and your delivery requires a signature, you head over to the UPS Customer Center. Now, driving about 25 miles from home isn't something I was looking forward to, but their service and friendliness made the trip worthwhile. Facility is open until 7:30, decide to grab dinner. 7:20 - Return to UPS, driver still out. Drivers REFUSE to deliver my packages, even when no signature is required, even when you pay extra for 2 day delivery! Even called customer service and they said it was driver's discretion because no signature is required for my packages. I ALWAYS have to pick up my packages from an Access Point locker. There is no way to call this location to fix anything. I live in Aurora, they are in Addison, so I have to go out of my way to speak to someone about this. Extremely incovenient and VERY frustrating. Apparently they had tried to deliver it today, which is weird because every time I had tried to look at its location it would say the tracking # was not registered. In the 5-15 minutes I was away they had tried to deliver it. The next day I'd be able to be here to get it is next week, so I'm about to go to this hub and see how fast and friendly they are. Had a package not delivery because driver didn't bother to knock or buzz. Had another package told it was delivered and was missing, filled out the paperwork to get refunded, never got the money back. Had another package not delivered yet again because of yet another lazy driver and was left a slip with a street name. That's it. Went to said place AND in tiny letters on the front door it stated that it was a Metro PCS AND a UPS store. And when I went to said place it was closed even though it was supposed to open. Didn't even move a finger and package was delivered the next day without a problem. Had ANOTHER package on the way just to be told that my address was wrong apparently and was assured the next day would be my delivery. Said date came and now it couldn't be delivered because of the incompetent driver not knocking again. Called and was guaranteed they'd be at my house in a couple of minutes just to wait an hour and after multiple hang ups from the voice machine, was told that the worker didn't check the time zone and now it would be delivered three days later. Safe to say this experience will be the last with this unprofessional company. I'll be making sure none of my packages are delivered or sent with this joke of a company. read more

Had a guitar re-routed there as delivery day was expected to be hot and humid and I didn't want it to sit on my porch if I wasn't around to collect it. I was disappointed that I didn't have the option to re-route to a UPS Store location 5 min from my home, but the crew at the Customer Center made my pickup as easy as possible. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes, the staff members were fun to talk to and happy. The driver was knocking on the back door of the complex and who in the world would do that? Residents parks at the front and don't even have a key to the back door. Everyone complains about package not delivered on time, ups drivers face traffic same as we do. I saw ups driver stuck on ramp for 30 min, looked like he was frustrated. Nobody let him in, nobody, and then they complain that package was not delivered. I never worked at ups in any field but as many deliveries they have, how can you make it in time? Addison is good, try to deal with hodgkins, il hub, its too big, mistakes happen. Im in similar business, things do happen. Everyone should understand its not always thei fault, its computerized too. Yes ups and fedex drivers are fast drivers, way too fast, but just to make in time, dont cut them off or any other truck driver, when something is out or stock at a store near you, remember, trucks bring that with drivers that some havent seen their family for 4 weeks. Reps at the toll-free number are always reluctant to provide the number to the local shipping center, and instead urge callers to wait hours for call back after a message has been sent to this facility. The driver(s) assigned to my area has delivered my packages to the wrong location (and obtained signature from someone that doesn't even live in my apartment complex, according to te leasing office), and consistently delivered packages late or without leaving a slip. Package statuses are often updated with a delivery attempt made on days I have been home and expecting the shipment. Most recently, the driver decided, for some reason, that I had moved, and there was never a knock at my door. Had to call and get the package sent out again. The only redeeming quality of this location is that their customer service reps are fairly polite and helpful, once you get them on the phone. read more

At a troubled time of trying to locate a package it was so astounding how much personal dedication there is to their customers. I want to thank Forest for personally coming after several hours after a delivery to confirm where a package was left! Although we never received the package (we believe it to have been stolen from our stairs!) it was so wonderful to see the dedication from a company. Live in an apartment? Then avoid UPS orders served by this hub. I have ordered six packages in the past few months and I've been home when four of them are delivered. NONE of the delivery drivers attempted to actually deliver it to me but instead just dropped it off at the office. My most recent one I didn't find out until I ran out to my car, 5 minutes after the office closed today, a Friday so now I get to wait an additional two days on top of the unexplained delay where orders sit at the hub for days on end that always comes with ordering through the Addison hub.
