I must admit, I don't find sandwich bars very interesting - I always feel like I could have made my own and would rather have something a bit more exciting. Still, Upper Crust does a pretty good job. They're all over the place, especially railway stations, so once you've seen one, you know what to expect.

Fillings are nothing special: cheese, ham, bacon, tuna, BLT, tomato, egg, chicken, salad and variations thereof. I have friends who swear by their breakfast baguettes for early morning journeys. My personal favourite is the chicken and bacon pizza baguette - at least it's not quite just a sarnie.
The drinks are all the usuals, except for some less common teas and they're one of the few places where you can get fizzy drinks as well as Innocent Smoothies. Hooray. read more
