I am looking for a location that sells a good variety of slices, has sit-down tables which you actually want to sit in (no rocking tables and dirty floors for me), and has friendly staff. We recently came here again while in the area and I rediscovered it. It is definitely the best... bar none. They expanded next door into a location previously used by H&R Block, and the increased dining space is wonderful. The variety of slices they had at lunch is staggering, and not just the usual suspects either. They had eggplant lasagna pizza; chicken Fra Diavolo pizza with hot peppers (yum!); mac & cheese pizza with or without Buffalo chicken; salad pizza; etc. All looked good, and my Fra Diavolo pizza has become my favorite here. Of note: their Hawaiian pizza is a white pizza (no sauce), which is extremely unusual, but they provided a cup of sauce on the side which restored balance to the galaxy. I should point out that every Italian restaurant has their own style of red sauce: some are too acidic, some are too salty, some are too heavy with dried herbs, and some don't use enough. This place has a sauce which is similar to my Grandmas (the best!), and it is salty and acidic and oily and delicious. I could see myself parking in a chair one afternoon with a good book and slowly trying slice after slice. Since we live only about 20 minutes away, I think I will need to make the trek up to here more often.

Alright... The BEAST has spoken. Let's break this one down honestly. Yesterday for lunch I grab a…read moreslice of 2 Coming in hot with a 3.5-star rating, this spot almost hits that elite tier--but there are a few things holding it back from greatness. First off, presentation and crust game? Solid. You're getting a good bake, decent structure, and slices that hold their own. Not floppy, not overly stiff right in that respectable middle lane. That's a win. Now let's talk about the sauce... because this is where things get mixed. Taking a look at some of the chatter on Yelp, there's a noticeable trend and I've got to agree. The sauce is inconsistent. Some bites hit with a nice tang and balance, but others feel either a little too sweet or lacking depth. It doesn't always punch through the cheese like you want it to. For a place trying to compete in the pizza game, sauce consistency is everything--and right now, it's just not elite. Cheese and toppings are good--not mind-blowing, but definitely respectable. No complaints there. Quality is there, just not standout.

I know up here they like crispy…read morepizza crust and that drives me up the wall because I prefer to fold it and not have to worry about broken crust caught between my teeth, etc.... so this one was really that good to make me look past that. But it's the quality assurance of this place.... half the time you order on a Saturday and their system accepts the order, the DoorDash driver comes by and "whoops!" they're closed. Then you ask when they open and they'll say 10am... and someone says "we had a family emergency"... and while I get that, how about you turn off the ordering system to accept the orders so I'm not out the money and the driver doesn't waste time driving to pick up the food? Then sometimes you'll get a great saucy pizza (which I love).... but other times, someone just decides to be lazy and take a pizza they've had sitting around under the counter for slices and just use that. So you paid $15+ for a pizza to be cooked fresh and you get a pizza that's dry and tastes like someone reheated the whole pizza. That was the last straw for me because they do it so many times... both of those things. Great pizza sauce, great pizza, but OMG, I can tell why I never see anyone inside your pizza place whenever I go... And they haven't changed... they used to sometimes just burn the crap out of the pizza too... you'd get a pizza that crumbles in your hand under it, or sometimes you'll get a crust with a huge bubble in the middle because they just didn't care. And that's why I stopped ordering from them... just laziness and no one is really around to make sure they don't do these things...... shame, really.

After devouring four juicy, flavorful wings that I dipped into their excellent very chunky homemade blue cheese dressing, I understand the hype. Does the breading enhance the flavor and make the sauce coat the wings better? I believe so. The wings both drum and flat were meaty. Extra parm was at the bottom of the serving dish and could be spooned onto wings. She also served Bourbon BBQ, Thai Chile, Korean, and PB and Jelly Breaded Wings. The Korean and Thai were delicious. The Bourbon and PB & J were too sweet for my taste, but they were enjoyed by others. Boneless Wings were typical fare. Wow! Breaded Wings are minimum of Five Stars! Delicious! I did not like the COB (cheese in bottom) Pizza. The crust and COB were good, but the thick top layer of slightly sweet not savory red sauce was unappealing to me. The other pizza from Red Front was a rectangular thin crusted cheese pizza that was okay but a little dried out. Family including kids preferred the round cheese pizza from Pizza Works that was available along with their Mac & Cheese Pizza. Highly recommend the breaded wings and the outstanding Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce.

There's some buzz around their upside-down/COB-style pizza, and on paper, it should hit. But execution? That's where things fall apart. Crust comes out too thick and bready, lacking that crisp bite you expect. It feels more like filler than foundation. When you pick up a slice, it just doesn't have that structure or snap. Now the big issue the sauce. You guys know I'm a sauce snob. It leans heavy, overly sweet, and kind of flat. Instead of elevating the slice, it overwhelms it. You don't get that balanced, tangy tomato flavor just a one-note layer that sits on top of everything. Cheese and overall bake? Inconsistent. Some areas overcooked, others just sitting there. It doesn't come together as one cohesive slice. Even looking at Yelp (around that 3.3 range), it lines up this is a spot people want to like, but the consistency and quality just aren't there.
