I read all these negative reviews and I don't get it. This is the first time I have been to Uplay, my friend takes her children here regularly. She said that she usually comes during the week and there are very few people there and sometimes she has the whole place to herself. We came on a Saturday morning around 11 a.m. and the place was busy but not too busy by noon it seemed the amount of people had tripled. The trampolines were totally fun for the kids. The under 3 area kept one of the children entertained for well over and hour and the larger play area was also really fun for the kids. I thought the place was pretty clean. There are 100s of children running around...for the amount of children, I thought it was clean. The bathrooms were clean, there was plenty of toilet paper. I didn't eat the food but it looked like they have healthy options and kid friendly options. There were lots of birthday parties going on. There is a parking lot. You just wear socks. They have lockers available if you want to store valuables. There is free WiFi and some comfy chairs for adults to sit at.

The Enjoy Centre - St. Albert Xmas market last day!

It's nice to see it and experience it once. We went there…read morefor their Christmas special event, "Glow" and I'm not sure if they have the same issues all the time or this issues were related to their Christmas special: Parking is a disaster. I was driving around for a while to be allowed to go to one of the parking areas and it seems the traffic was not planned or controlled properly. Then the parking was all icy which is a safety hazard knowing a lot of young and older people walk there. Then we got inside and although it was nice, it wasn't worth the money and energy. I personally didn't feel Christmas spirit and originality. Everything about the setup was very mechanical without soul. Like a robot maybe! I think something like "candy cane lane" is a lot better experience and it gives a feeling that your in a Christmas painting. I will go back there for the market itself after holidays. I think I may enjoy the market better.

One could enjoy oneself here, if one: 1) lived in St. Albert; 2) had lots of money to burn, and 3)…read morehad low expectations of this Centre acting as the greenhouse it replaced. Beautiful space, but better suited for elderly mall-walkers and special events. Truth be told, there are few actual plants, particularly annuals, on offer. They seem to focus more on specialized seasonal plants, like poinsettias and Norfolk pine at Christmas, and decorative items like pumpkins, terrariums, and tropical plants. I came in mid-September for fall bedding plants and was shocked to find there were almost no plants, a few potted mums with tightly closed buds, and that was it. Not even a marigold in the whole place! What perennials they had left were leggy, there were a few scraggly trees and some sad looking pansies. Quite a pathetic showing, shocking that Home Depot and Canadian Tire have better selection! All this greenhouse space, and hardly any plants. I was pretty choked that I had driven all the way to St. Albert and left without a single bedding plant, what a waste of my gas and my time. The Enjoy Centre is actually a wannabe high-end shopping mall, out in a middle of nowhere industrial park. One of the reasons I chose to come out was to hit Evoolution, but I can do that closer to home. There's a spa onsite, an overpriced kitchen store, an overpriced health and wellness shop, and a specialty grocery store akin to Loblaws City Centre market or any Planet Organic. I'm not sure why anyone would come to the Enjoy Centre for such services, and indeed anytime I've visited, these stores are all but empty. The cafeteria is also overpriced and very average. Honestly I'd only come back here for the special events and would maybe do some gift shopping. But I'll never make the drive from Edmonton again just to peruse expensive items I can purchase elsewhere, or to buy plants, if there were any to buy!!

Once inside there's an open space with display cabinets. They had a photo booth set up on the left side and the radio show set up on the right side but there was room for people to walk. The washrooms were to the left and they were clean and tidy. We went into the hall and it was set up with tables and chairs for about 10 people around each table. There was a centrepiece and items on the table, and also decorations hanging on the side walls. The tables weren't set up right to the stage to leave room for those who wanted to dance to get up close to the band. The 2 bars had line ups but it was easy to buy drink tickets and line up. The ladies' selling the tickets were nice and I asked if they had a tip jar but she didn't have one. They also had food set up with pizza, I think chicken too, chips, and chocolate bars. We were seated almost aligned with the doors and could see the band on the stage pretty well. There was an aisle so lots of people walking by but it wasn't bothersome. The sound was decent for the hall too. Decent venue for events and would be happy to be back for more parties!

If you are lucky enough to attend a banquet, you are in for a treat. The resident staff is top notch. Great Italian food and attentive service. My last visit was for a concert. It's spacious enough for lots of dancing, but the overall sound quality could be better. There are 2 bars and a pretty decent consession area. It's tricky finding the road in. You have to take 132 ave. It's on St. Albert Trail, so you could also take the bus.

I haven't organized these events but family and friends have (weddings). It's a beautiful location with photogenic scenery enclosing the manicured lawns and lodge. Perfect for wedding pictures. We've celebrated other events related to soccer tournaments. I love the cabin structure itself. It's charming, and having the dining hall seperated at an angle from the dance area works in terms of noise for our elders who wanted to sit and chat.

She even provided us with her cell phone number so we were able to contact her if there were any issues (which there weren't). Food was great, staff was friendly and timely - the building itself looked great. For the type of feel of this venue (rustic, country, etc) it is one of the more affordable options in the city. Also was nice to have everything in one spot, reduces some of the coordinating especially if you're doing it yourself. Some of the rental prices are a bit higher than perhaps a rental company or buying off of kijiji but for ourselves was worth it to avoid having to coordinate rentals and drop off, pick up, set up etc. costs and policies were clearly outlined in the information package provided to us originally. Only thing was that we were not able to get the space the day before our wedding to decorate so we had to do that day of - but that is the nature of getting married in the summer! The venue was booked the night before for another wedding so there was no way around that. Overall we really enjoyed our experience!
