The lighting was well suited to the room and I found the temperature just right. I find that for events like this, it's important to have a comfortable room where people don't feel too warm or cold. The bar was situated in the middle of the room and I found that the setup was just well thought out for traffic flow. Speaking of traffic flow, I like that there was ample parking for attendees.

It's also one of the few venues in Edmonton that can hold 350 people! I was extremely impressed with the Oasis Center as a venue and would definitely consider holding events here in the future!

The only bad thing is that some will have a bit of a lineup to get your turn. The other thing which can be frustrating is the crowd, if you're trying to get a decent pic of something without people getting in the way. Can almost make a game of it. I went on a weeknight and it was very busy, so I can't imagine what it will be like on the weekends. There are a few things to keep the kids entertained, like a playground and stepping stone lights or the most popular was running through a bunch of hanging lights. They also have Santa there too. They also have concessions inside, outside food and drinks not allowed. The prices I saw were typical of fair ground prices. $2 for bottle water, $4.50 for small popcorn, $6.50 for mini donuts etc.. Also be warned, the lineup to get in the parking lot was long and took awhile. But we went at 6. I would suggest going around 730 or after, as I left at 8 and there was no lineup of cars any more. You only need like 2 hours at most I think. It goes 4-10. And nice it's all indoor so weather doesn't play a factor. Buy your tix online as it is a bit cheaper. It was cool to check out once, and I'm glad didn't go on a weekend since was pretty busy this night already.

I was driving around for a while to be allowed to go to one of the parking areas and it seems the traffic was not planned or controlled properly. Then the parking was all icy which is a safety hazard knowing a lot of young and older people walk there. Then we got inside and although it was nice, it wasn't worth the money and energy. I personally didn't feel Christmas spirit and originality. Everything about the setup was very mechanical without soul. Like a robot maybe! I think something like "candy cane lane" is a lot better experience and it gives a feeling that your in a Christmas painting. I will go back there for the market itself after holidays. I think I may enjoy the market better.

Once inside there's an open space with display cabinets. They had a photo booth set up on the left side and the radio show set up on the right side but there was room for people to walk. The washrooms were to the left and they were clean and tidy. We went into the hall and it was set up with tables and chairs for about 10 people around each table. There was a centrepiece and items on the table, and also decorations hanging on the side walls. The tables weren't set up right to the stage to leave room for those who wanted to dance to get up close to the band. The 2 bars had line ups but it was easy to buy drink tickets and line up. The ladies' selling the tickets were nice and I asked if they had a tip jar but she didn't have one. They also had food set up with pizza, I think chicken too, chips, and chocolate bars. We were seated almost aligned with the doors and could see the band on the stage pretty well. There was an aisle so lots of people walking by but it wasn't bothersome. The sound was decent for the hall too. Decent venue for events and would be happy to be back for more parties!

You have to take 132 ave. It's on St. Albert Trail, so you could also take the bus.

Some of the rental prices are a bit higher than perhaps a rental company or buying off of kijiji but for ourselves was worth it to avoid having to coordinate rentals and drop off, pick up, set up etc. costs and policies were clearly outlined in the information package provided to us originally. Only thing was that we were not able to get the space the day before our wedding to decorate so we had to do that day of - but that is the nature of getting married in the summer! The venue was booked the night before for another wedding so there was no way around that. Overall we really enjoyed our experience!

My friends and I ended up spending a couple hours going through all the rooms. I was surprised that it took us this long but there was just so much to see and take in. We each had our own favorite rooms and we had a hard time leaving. Some rooms we went into more than once and each time we experienced more. This is a great way to spend an afternoon and see so much amazing talent that our city has to offer!

The rooms are medium-to-large sized with fairly good sound systems and enough room for a sweet dance floor. Bar was open at one event and cash for another, but either way, the drinks were good and the staff were friendly. Service for dinner has always been top notch. At my last event there, my steak was pretty fatty, but the desserts more than made up for it. I also enjoyed mushroom soup for the first time in my life! That's saying something. One star lost for the max AC in the middle of November. What the heck?
