I cancelled a procedure entirely due to allergies making me gag from my sinuses. I felt the lord said, dont go here. The dentist got mad when i said i can still feel on the side of my gums, she said it was all in my head, and to stop it. Part of me said, you know what, im cancelling. When i did, she was frustrated she didnt make that money. She walked out rudely, and went into her office, and said she will just charge me for the numbing. I was talking to the old lady about why i cant do it, and told her a religious story about something evil that popped up in my dream. The dentist walked out, and said, what did you just say? I repeated, she said, ill pray for you. But her heart wasnt there because when she prayed, she said normally she wouldnt but once she heard that, she said she wanted too. I was like, how is this prayer going to be accepted if she says that? After she prayed for me, she says, did it work now? I was like , WHAT!? It didnt because her heard wasnt in it for the lord. When you pray, you dont say, "Ok lets see if it worked!" This is not a magic spell! You pray but the healing is already done from the cross when Jesus died. He said, it is done. You have to call out your sickness by name. You say, sinuses congestion, in the name of Jesus, i command you to leave my body in Jesus name! I refunded the $3000 from Cherry. Norma wanted that $$$ so i had to schedule an appointment when she couldve just done it over the phone. She was rude, she got smart ass with me saying its protocol. I said okay. I called Cherry, and i told them, i didnt spend any of the money, go get it back. I went through their protocol, and got it done. I called and Norma picked up again, she get mad that i did that LOL. She didnt like that one bit because she wanted that money. She tried to tell me when i said i had to file Ch 7, she said, its okay, you dont need to do anything, you are filing for ch 7. I said, NO! Thats illegal, and thats stealing. You did no work, there is no charge except for the numbing. That was already paid by my insurance. She DID NOT like that lol! She asked why i called Cherry, i said right back, "Its their protocol." lol. Which it was! because if you arent gonna use the loan money, you have to give it back. So i had to answer questions so they can proceed the refund. So i did and you have to do it. Few days later of my appointment to make the refund. I wait and wait sitting, and the old lady, i dont remember her name, she hands me a paper to sign and she says, its a "Partial Refund", i was like, partial refund? She did not explain why, i couldnt wait to leave that place. They only refunded $1000 out of the $3000. They kept $2000 of the money they did nothing of any work. If there was a fee, its not 2 grand. They have the place all pretty with Christian props, music, pamphlets and it looked nice. Im a christian, and i felt this was just to bring money in. Norma then pops her face out, she looks at me, smiled, and walks out and says nothing. She gave my mom a hard time when my mom asked about an update of me and she was not at the office. She was out doing non-related work stuff, probably shopping because i never heard of a dentist that is out on the go doing things when she should be at work doing her job. She was frustrated because she had to do her job, and my mom was having her answer questions in how i was and what i was getting for the visit. That is also what caused the cancellation. They are so bad, they are evil, dishonest, stole money. If i had money to pay for an attorney, i would have sued them for stealing. I did tell Cherry to call them and get your money back. I hope they did. I felt it was a scam, and had money stolen from me. If they kept the money, i hope that Cherry will send them the bill for them to pay it back. Stay clear of this place. They stole $2K and kept it. Just imagine if you had to pay a ton of money and then suddenly, not get the work and have them take 80% of the money. Im not one to judge but they dont act like Christians. When you lie, you are sinning, and doing what the devil wants you to do, lie and steal. Its a Christian waiting room but behind the curtain to make money off of you. If they were honest, they would refund Cherry 100%. When Norma freaked out when my mom's blood pressure was super high at 200/100, you dont be in fear, you pray on it, and ask, do you need to go to the hospital? My mom has white coat syndrome. Norma was scared so it made my moms BP shoot more. My moms BP went down when she got home, it was all Norma and that place. I even heard a little girl who didnt like the old lady there. She was rude, i can hear her while i was waiting for an hour in the other room. The girl was like 5. She didnt wanna do it. I can hear and i can tell, yeah thats why, she was being a little rude with her. Ive been to many clinics, dentists, and such. Its been 30 years since i last had a problem with the people at a place. Better late than never but a must. I and a few other employees at our place of business paid for a special teeth whitening dental package of which I never got. I did make an appointment, but was told I needed dental work before I can redeem this special package I had paid for. I asked them if they took my insurance, they said yes but it wasn't true because I paid for services out of pocket. When I asked for copies of what I paid for, it was not given to me. Never had a dentist spend so much time with my kiddos. Very patient, understanding, loving. A true gem amidst her field.. Norma was amazing at getting my kiddo in on an emergency and she's just ridiculously sweet. Maria is amazing too my kids did amazing with her doing their X-rays. Didn't do proper research, so I ended up at this hyper religious dentistry. Upon entry, I was asked to go to the bathroom and wash my hands before I could fill out my forms. Thought it was a bit weird, but I let it go. The assistant was kind of rough/rude when she was taking pictures of my teeth. When asked about what medications I was taking, the assistant asked "why don't you just exercise and go on a diet?" I tried not to take it too personal, and moved past it. The dentist then asked why I felt the need to use recreational cannabis, and went on a religious lecture that lasted like 10 mins. Overall, I think this place is unprofessional and highly judgmental. TLDR: Quick scheduling for appointment, very friendly staff and doctor, and pain-free procedures. Great! Received a mailer for a free whitening with an exam and cleaning and decided that it was time for a check-up. Called near the end of day and spoke to Norma about setting up an appointment. She was able to get both my husband and me in the next day at 10am. The office is in a nondescript medical building on the second floor, and it's warm and cozy inside (free coffee, which I sadly did not partake in). Norma was present and as wonderful in person as she was on the phone, as were all the staff. Tony took the X-rays (and, since I'm pregnant, checked with my ob for a confirmation) using lots of lots of protection to keep the babies safe. Met the doctor herself, who was GREAT. And the exam itself was easy - filled a couple small cavities, got to see my own pictures and X-rays and have them explained, and most importantly, no pain! Dr. Perez is absolutely one of the best dentists I've been to. Unfortunately her office manager is terrible with customer service and pressuring to have dental work done. Norma will act nice and "Godly" to your face but when she is alone and when Dr. Perez is not watching her she's unprofessional, rude and aggressive. She won't allow me to speak to anyone else when I call the office even though I clearly explained to her I'm not comfortable dealing with her. Norma literally laughs at me on the phone in a sarcastic tone whenever I have tried (3 times in the past) make payment arrangements and future appointments. Norma always claims she's the only admin in the office and that she'll get back to me but never does. She knows that all my teeth problems are physically painful but as a sales tactic condescendingly, asks, "oh how is your mouth feeling ?" - Well Norma obviously not good!! I found Upland Lighthouse Dentistry because my original dentist was always closed when I needed them. They let me in immediately and began x-rays and found problems my original dentist missed. They fixed everything and even took out my wisdom teeth on the spot which is something I've been wanting done for a while but never did because my other dentist wanted to charge me thousands of dollars. I am reviewing this business based on sales of teeth whitening services along with Rapid Resultz market, David Gonzales. The 2 businesses sell services and when you attempt to cash in your whitening kit you are asked for your insurance information. I was not in need if any other dental services since i have my own dentist and visit regularly. I could not receive the kits i purchased without giving them that information. Norma suggested i go in an meet their staff and learn more about them, however, that still did not solve the issue that THEY ARE DOUBLE DIPPING into insurance money.
