The tow truck came out almost immediately that my ride hadn't even arrived yet. He was more than understanding and agreed to come back later once my ride came to get us. Then once at the shop I received an estimate the very next day. They also were able to help me get my vehicle back on the road asap which is super important as a single parent and even helped me with getting to the shop.
