My son has received the best care in this office…read more The staff and Dr. Rochelle are AMAZING! Lillian at the front desk was so helpful and reassuring with all my questions. Today my son came in for two fillings under oral sedation and use of laughing gas. The whole team made my son feel extremely comfortable which in turn had me feeling comfortable. My son has several allergies and had many previous reactions so I did come in a little anxious myself. As a manager in healthcare I always tell my staff that we need to treat our patients like family. At todays visit I felt just that from Dr. Rochelle and her team.

As parents, we asked reasonable follow-up questions about our children's dental care. Unfortunately, these questions were often met with condescension, inconsistency in information, and a lack of transparency. The final straw was receiving a written communication that included a highly inappropriate and alarming term, which even if sent accidentally, significantly undermined our trust of this practice and their sense of professionalism. Because of these issues of the practice, we've decided to seek care elsewhere. This may be a good fit for families who are comfortable not asking many questions, but it ultimately was not the right fit for ours.

Ya'll ready for a superhero/save the day story? Well, here it comes…read more So, Dr. Angie and the staff at Napa Pediatric Dentistry are absolutely amazing. I hope they all move to Illinois so I can have them be my kids peds dentist location. My family and I were in Santa Rosa for a family wedding. The wedding was on a Sunday and my 23 month old daughter was the flower girl in the wedding. Sunday morning at 7:30AM my poor girl tripped into a set of stairs and knocked several teeth loose (one horribly loose). After some emergency consultation on Sunday we knew we had to wait until Monday morning in order to attempt to have someone see us. I called atleast 2 dozen Dentists, peds dentists, and periodontists within a 30 mile radius on Monday morning and every location was either closed, docs were gone or they didn't see kids. I was lost. My baby girl was in pain. And I didn't know where to turn. Fortunately, Dr. Angie's office was recommended for me to contact by one of the practices that couldn't see me. It would be over an hour drive but after they heard about our situation they vowed to try and squeeze us in. Keep in mind they had a fully booked day and were short staffed. We made the drive and they squeezed us in between patients, all while respecting the appointments and privacy of their current patients (not an easy task to do! I was impressed). They did a visual examination of my daughters teeth and knew xrays were needed right away. After Xrays, it was apparent that a tooth needed to be pulled. My wife and I already knew this and so did Dr. Angie and the team, but proper examination was needed. My poor girls teeth looked rough and it had to be done before we headed home. Dr. Angie and her team exceeded any expectation of bedside manner, love, care, comfort, and expertise that I had walking in there that day. We completed the procedure and 10 minutes later, my daughter was visibly doing better. We are home now and she is a happy girl. We have to keep a close eye on the other affected teeth, but she would not be where she is if it wasn't for Dr. Angie and her team. If you all decide to move to Illinois, I will be the first to sign up my kids as your patients. You brought more than just care to my baby girl, you brought it to all of us. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Ok first off, OMG THEY ARE AMAZING!…read more My 2 year old always puts up a struggle when we brush his teeth in the morning and in the evening. He was a bit hesitant when we walked in but the assistant (sorry I forgot her name) was so gentle, sweet, and really caring. I seriously thought he would be fighting the entire time and he literally let her look at his teeth with the mirror and all the tools without a fight/cry/whine! Hands down the best experience... FYI, it was his first dentist appointment!

I honestly don't understand how this place has 5 stars. They provide only the most basic care and…read morerefuse to do any real treatment. If you have medical or limited dental coverage, don't even bother--this office does nothing beyond the bare minimum. Every visit ends the same way: a quick checkup, a basic cleaning (the kind you could do yourself at home), and then a referral elsewhere. They repeat things you already know instead of addressing actual dental needs. It feels like a complete waste of time. I would never recommend this place, especially for kids. If you're looking for more than just the bare minimum, I strongly suggest going somewhere else. *********** While I fully understand that a child's safety is a priority, the care provided here is still far below expectations. My child was calm, cooperative, and sat through the X-ray and exams without issue, yet the doctor still refused to attempt the necessary fillings. Instead of trying, the assumption was immediately made that she might move--without any effort to treat her. It is also concerning that no details were shared regarding her actual dental needs. I was not informed about how many cavities she has, what procedures would be required, or what treatment plan was recommended. The default response was simply a referral, which seems to be the standard whenever insurance coverage is not ideal. Additionally, the implication that my child is in this situation because I do not care for her dental health is both offensive and unfounded. You have no knowledge of the circumstances, and to make such assumptions only reinforces the impression that patients are treated here with a dismissive, one-size-fits-all approach. Not every child is the same, and they should not all be boxed into the same category. Families deserve providers who will make an effort and offer treatment options beyond doing the bare minimum or resorting to putting a child under anesthesia for even the smallest procedures. Your response only comes across as an attempt to defend yourself rather than addressing the actual issue or providing any resolution. This does not reflect accountability or concern for patients. The so-called "5-star" rating is misleading. The reality is that this office does the bare minimum, avoids treatment, and immediately refers patients elsewhere rather than providing proper care. Parents bring their children here expecting help, not excuses, assumptions, or dismissive remarks. Until there is a real effort to listen to patients, treat each child as an individual, and provide solutions beyond referrals and anesthesia, these positive ratings mean nothing.

Please understand that while a business advertises that they accept certain insurance, there is a…read moreprocess. Please make sure you ask questions and understand the process. For instance, they may "ACCEPT" your insurance- as long as YOU pay upfront and get reimbursed later this is NOT where you have your insurance on file and are covered for a certain amount and only have to pay a co-pay or if it goes over that amount. Even when I was speaking with an employee, I had to ask questions for clarity when they said that they did "ACCEPT" the insurance, but there would have to be a reimbursement. It was not explained WHO would be reimbursed, me or the dental office. Although you have your insurance, you are still handling the entire process of payment and reimbursement to yourself, depending upon what services are performed- the insurance company may or may not cover a certain amount of money for certain services, you may just have to pay out-of-pocket altogether. I am giving a four star because of the lack of clarity when advertising that all insurance or specific insurance is accepted and then for the employee to not be able to thoroughly clearly or properly explain the details. These little details can be confusing and detrimental to a client. Hope this helps.

From the first visit, the focus was on making the lil one feel comfortable, and the whole office is so fun. Books and fun distractions in the waiting room, and cool toys (and stickers!) in the exam rooms. Every single person who works there is kind, professional, and a total delight. I always leave in a good mood, and so does my son. And beyond how fun and warm they are, the care itself is excellent. They're knowledgeable, thoughtful, and great at explaining things in a way that makes you feel informed and supported. I also LOVE how easy they make it for you to make appointments - if you can't call, you can text to book a regular checkup or even a same-day appointment (which we've needed more than once because my son's favorite hobby is falling on his face). I feel so lucky this place was recommended to us. I wish they'd take me as a patient too.

I wanted to provide an update to my original review following thoughtful and professional follow-up…read morefrom Dr. Amber. After my initial experience, Dr. Amber personally reached out, reviewed what happened, and took full accountability. She acknowledged that a mistake was made regarding the cost estimate for my son's visit, specifically that the cost of required X-rays had not been factored into the quote I was given. She agreed the situation was not handled well and confirmed that there was no reason the correct estimate could not have been provided upfront. Most importantly, Dr. Amber honored the original quoted cost, which I truly appreciate, and took concrete steps to address the issue internally. She shared that the staff member involved has been written up and placed on a performance improvement plan, with clear expectations around customer service moving forward. That level of transparency, accountability, and leadership speaks volumes. I want to be clear that my concern was never about the medical care. The doctor and clinical staff were kind, informative, and wonderful with my child. This was a front-desk service issue, and I appreciate that Dr. Amber took it seriously and did not dismiss my experience. I'm updating this review to reflect how professionally the situation was handled after the fact. One person's actions should not reflect an entire practice, and I respect the way this was addressed. Thank you again to Dr. Amber for taking the time to follow up and make this right.

Our appointment…read morewas at 8:30 AM and is almost 9 and we're still waiting for something that was supposed to be a quick application. This is very frustrating. As a working parent who doesn't have all morning to hang out at the dentist I wouldn't recommend. This practice is also not recommended in a lot of the mom groups for Sonoma County/neurodivergent kids. We're done. --- ETA: I want to add context to my earlier review. After I posted my review, the dentist entered the treatment room and confronted me. She stated, very loudly and repeatedly, that she is having a family crisis and asked if I realized that they are "people too." I expressed sympathy for her situation and explained that our frustration stems from a pattern of being kept waiting 20-30 minutes at multiple visits, which is challenging when balancing work and school schedules, particularly with a neurodivergent child. However, Dr. Amber was clearly dysregulated and stuck on a loop. She did not want to have a conversation. She did not want to explain the situation in a way that would salvage the dentist-parent-of-patient relationship. She wanted a punching bag for one-star reviews. I absolutely empathize with personal emergencies and family crises. However, being confronted in a raised voice repeatedly in a treatment room in front of my child felt inappropriate and unprofessional. If a provider is experiencing a personal emergency, I would much prefer appointments be rescheduled or covered by another clinician rather than having that distress spill into patient interactions.
