what a great company. Windows, Siding, Gutters, and roof all done without a hitch. We work from home and they couldn't be more professional and cooperative. Excellent work by everyone involved. Highly recommend them. read more

We had a great experience with Up and Above! They did a great job adding soffit and fascia to our house. We have a very hard time finding someone that will do work to our house due to the height and it was no problem for Up and Above. The work was completed very quickly. We would recommend them and we would use them again if needed. read more

We've been dealing with a mystery leak since they replaced our roof and are not accepting responsibility or correcting the issue. Disappointed. read more

Up & Above replaced our entire roof in January 2019. Not only was their quote (which they absolutely honored) about $1,000 lower than average, but they also offered (in our humble opinion) the best materials and best warrantee. Because they were in such high demand, they couldn't accommodate us right away, so they made an extra trip to put a tarp over the damaged area FREE OF CHARGE, to protect us until they could do the job, which they also did their best to expedite. This is service! I purposely delayed posting this review, and can now say: NO problem to date! Thank you, Up & Above. I can see why you are chosen to do so many jobs in the area. I feel, we received good value and were treated well. Oh, and they accepted payment by card - so, you know everything is "on the up & up"....& Above? :) read more

DO NOT GET RAIN GUTTERS THRU THESE GUYS! We had this company redo our roof. With it we chose to get new rain gutters. Great. No review. Left them to hire. No screens on the gutters, no way to clear or drain ( we have underground drainage). Now we have trees growing in our gutters and have to cut the downspouts to clear them out and get a second company to cover the drains properly. Also hoping they didn't ruin our under ground drains. $$$ WHAT THEY NEED AND DON'T WANT IS A GOOD SALESPERSON WHO KNOWS WHAT TO ASK, what to charge and cover themselves and the customer! read more

This company keep putting off our install for at least a month . They trick into thinking they hook up all the electric they take off but then they turn around and tell you they don't because it is in the contract. They men are all Latin and don't answer anything. The boss on the job leaves them alone all day. They don't deserve a good rating. I have paid 3 contractors and counting to hook all the electric they unhooked. I can't feel more ripped off by these people. read more

I called Up and Above and they came out very quickly to provide an estimate for a roof replacement. The work was scheduled soon after the estimate. Every communication with the office (Pam or Jackie) was very friendly and productive in getting the needed work done. The crew came out and completed the job in one day. They cleaned up as though they were never there. The price on the estimate was the price on the final bill, no surprises. I highly recommend Up and Above ! read more

We hired Up and Above to replace our old roof as well as two skylights. They are GAF Certified Master Elite® Roofing Contractors. With this you get a Warranty directly from GAF. Its even transferable to new owners if you move within 20 years! They did a great job finished in 1 day and cleaned everything up. ( larger than average roof ) They installed new flashing around two chimneys and trimmed out the bases of each with Azek PVC board. Gary , the owner is a nice guy and oversaw everything. read more

Couldn't bother to show up for their estimate or call or anything. Despite telling me to be available between 1 and 4. Everybody else told me the exact time they'd be there and called an hour before they got there. Needless to say if this is how little they care about getting business they either have more than they need or just don't care, in either case they are going to do a rush job or a negligent job, and in both cases they wont be getting my work. Many years ago I contacted them to put an extension on my house, same thing. Fool me once.... read more

Unreliable company with extremely poor customer service. Poorly serving Sussex, Warren and Morris counties. Strongly do not recommend. In this economy we are trying to PAY someone & they don't even show up for the initial consultation, nor call when they are over 1 hour late...apparently they don't need our business. read more

I have used Up and Above contractors a couple of times. On both casinos their work has been exceptional. They work neatly and efficiently. They have replaced both my roof and siding. On both occasions their work was great and all the laborers were polite and friendly. My yard and shrubs were protected as needed and all in all there was nothing to clean up. Great company. I would be remiss if I left out Jackie who was professional and attentive when I spoke with her. read more

I was very satisfied with the new gutters that were installed and the prompt ahead of schedule service. The crew made a error that was actually to my benefit with an extra gutter section not called for, and to the credit of the company they stood by their original estimate. So I appreciated that....that they are a stand up outfit. The crew work was impeccable, polite, and full clean up and removal of old gutter. read more

Up and above did a fantastic work fo us, they stand behind their quote at no extra cost to us. Clean up after themselves. Will definitely recommend them to my friends. read more

They built a fantastic high quality deck for us and we couldn't be more pleased. All quality deck materials and attention to detail was amazing. They picture framed the perimeter, 4 stringer wide stairs, router railing supports, all spindle balusters, sanded all edges, best deck that I've ever contracted. And best of all they did it in 2 days with the new preformed 6x6 concrete piers. Amazing work! Be prepared to wait awhile to get the job done because they are in such great demand! read more

Last week we had our fourth roof done by Up and Above. We don't call anyone else! From start to finish, the job could not have gone better and we love the look of the new shingles. Over the last 20 years, Up and Above also installed new windows, new sliding glass doors and built a deck. I have one house left that will need a new roof soon and there is no doubt who I will call! read more

We have used Up and Above for several home projects, most recently having them re-screen our porch and did an amazing job! Their prices are always fair, their work ethic superior and they are extremely easy to work with. We would highly recommend Up and Above for any of your home needs! read more

Up & Above was recommended to us by another contractor whose work we respect. They were prompt, responsive, informed us immediately of a few delays in scheduling due to weather, came when they said they would and did a great job. Job was 98% complete in one day, workers returned the next day and finished up by noon. Recommended. read more

We got 4 bids for an entire roof replacement. At first they seemed high but once they broke it down for you they bid the job as it should be, not by cutting corners like the other proposals. They use GAF which is consistently rated the highest in roofing materials. Highly recommend Up and Above! read more

Had a large regular picture window replaced with a big beautiful bay window. The owner showed up with 4 helpers and three trucks. They were all very professional and spent most of the day here. The window was large and heavy and they had to lift it up pretty high above a retaining wall and garden. They had to construct a small scaffel on which to stand to do the install, so it was not an ordinary installation. They did an amazing job and I absolutely love the window. The only thing I was disappointed in was that all the tiny nail heads were left exposed. I understand there is a filler that could be used , but I guess then it would need painting and they were only the installers. The exterior was enclosed to perfection. read more

Summing up our various jobs, Up and Above has put new roofs on our house and pool house, installed new gutters, installed a new cupola, installed new windows and a planter box and additionally installed new doors...the results always excellent, the ease of scheduling always convenient- although there is some lead time for a busy quality contractor (as you should expect of a quality business), and the pricing is always fair. The people are friendly and absolutely zero pressure marketing...never an effort for selling you more than you want, always attentive to providing quality products and services you need. No surprises, except perhaps for the extraordinary results that have made our house even more attractive than anticpated. Thank you again, Up and Above! read more

Hello,I had my roof Replaced in the beginning of November 2014.I contacted up and above on there web site on a Sunday they called and Gary showed up the next day. Gave me a signed estimate with samples ,brochures on all materials that will be used ,copy liability and workmen s comp ins. I called 2 other roofing contractors ,No call backs and no show for estimates.Oh well I went with Up And Above.I Talked to at least 10 homeowners in my hometown alone that had roofs done by them. And everyone is VERY PLEASED,And i am very relieved .They will not compromise quality of work. You will get A GOOD ROOF,Will remove any rot ,Great clean up, very professional.LOVE MY NEW ROOF read more

I can say the men that worked on my roof, worked hard, fast, efficient, clean, and were very professional. They put on a new roof, replaced 14 sheets of rotted plywood, installed a new skylight and flashing around my chimney in 11 hours. I didn't bother to get other estimates due to up and above having a great reputation in the Newton area. They have done work on my family and friends homes with great success. After all the work was finished it was as if they weren't even here (other then the work that was done). I must also give an A+ to the ladies in the office. They were pleasant to deal with and kept me updated on the special order skylight, that took longer to get in then expected. Between the skylight and weather, as well as my schedule, the work was completed only a week after the original scheduled date(which I feel is more then understandable). I highly recommend this contractor. read more

Nice people to do business with, we hired them to do our siding, stone facing and new gutters.

Up and Above came highly recommend and after meeting with two other contractors we selected them to replace our roof. The crew arrived promptly on the scheduled day and were very professional. Speaking with the office staff has been easy, all calls were returned. We had no issues and I would recommend this company to anyone needing roof replacement. read more

Our deck had reached the end of its useful life so we engaged Up and Above Contractors. Paul and Ken did a fantastic job and we are thrilled with craftsmanship. We highly recommend Up and Above Contractors and plan to work with them again on our next project. read more

We heard different things about this company. I decided to listen to the people who touted them for their good work. I am so happy I did. they came and gave us an estimate which was reasonable. They called to let us know when they would be starting the job (busy season) and were there promptly at 7:30 in the morning, with what seemed to be at least 12 guys. They took off our old roofs (two layers) and discovered the 65 years old plywood beneath was in poor condition. They then replaced all the old plywood, put on the new roofs (3 different sections plus garage). They were not able to finish up the first day despite being there until after 7:00 at night, but returned promptly the next morning and were completed by noon. Despite literally 100's of plantings around my house, there was not a plant damaged and not a thing left behind. If not for the beautiful new roof, you would never know they'd been there - not even dust remained. I cannot recommend this company too highly. read more

Absolutely the best, initially I was told that this would be a 1 day job, so Obviously after hearing that, my thoughts were NO WAY. I have 3 roofs, a 2 story colonial, a large game room, and a 3 car garage. The crew of 7 arrived at 730am and we're done by 530pm, I'm still amazed, my roofs are tremendous, can't thank Gary, Jackie and their incredible crew enough for doing such an amazing job. read more

I saw their advertisements around the area and thought they were a reputable company. I called, asked for a quote and everything started off great. After 10K spent my roof leaked right away. I have been fighting with them for now OVER A YEAR and back and forth with still the same leaks. I fear every rain storm. Stay away from this company! If you have to use them, make sure to get the GAF insurance so someone else can fix their mistakes. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I had the entire outside of my house done. I am not exaggerating when I say this. I did roof, soffits, gutters, siding, window surrounds, and garage doors. What a pleasure it was to work with them. I dealt directly with the owner of the company and them as well as every employee was so professional and meticulous. The quote was exact to the bill. Not a single hidden charge and the level of work was amazing. I recieved multiple quotes and not only were they one of the most aggressively priced they gave me a sense of confidence that I chose them. I truly have to say from start to finish they were a pleasure to deal with read more

Recommended to us by an insurance agent friend, Up & Above listened to what we needed, gave great advice, and installed a high quality new roof on our house. Not the cheapest quote we got -- but a solid value. They will also give you a certificate of insurance which is important when you have their folks crawling all over your roof - another roofer wanted to "wing it" without insurance! Job was done in 2 days and they cleaned up so well that you would have never known they were here -- except for the brand new roof. Many neighbors have commented on how great our home looks with the new roof. Highly recommend Up & Above for excellent quality and customer service. read more

Can you give a minus star? These idiots partially severed an electrical wire when removing existing roof, then had the audacity to tell me to call an electrician...'we don't do electrical work'. A couple of years later, I had a mold issue in the attic because they didn't pull the vents from the bathrooms thru the roof, and also neglected to free the sofets. When they came to the house to assess, they told me it was billable because the roof was then 6 yrs old. A twenty year roof, mind you. It cost me over $2000 to fix their mess, on top of the initial cost of total roof replacement and electrical work. They could have caused a fire that may well have cost a life. read more
