I have very likely just had the best customer service experience ever. My wife and I were delighted to stumble upon this great little boutique shop and even more so delighted to find the great markdowns they had placed on just last years selection of name brand flip flops. After sorting through the bin and scattering many a pair of flip flops all over their store I finally had made my selection. Imagine my disappointment when I returned home to Richmond, Va and found I had taken two right flip flops to the counter to purchase. I called the next day and Ann could not have been nicer about shipping me my left flip flop - and overnight at that! Always a pleasure stopping through Untucked while in Duck. The fam and I get onto the island on check in day and proceed with tradition. A coconut crunch cold brew and biscotti from Ducks Cottage and a stroll around the Waterfront shops. I can always find something to enhance the vibe while I'm slow and lowing in Unticked. I usually take inventory that first day and pull the trigger midweek on the few things that grabbed my attention. Who the H-E- double toothpicks writes a review on a place they have never been too? Yup....me. And I am giving this place 5 stars because my wife knows how damn picky I am and came back to our beach house with the most amazing Hawaiian shirt EVER that was 50% off....not only that, the attached pic of the receipt....just because of how damn funny it is, that means these folks have class...and because they have class, I am going tomorrow to buy more swag! UPDATE NEXT DAY......went in and spent some serious money....Dave the owner was there and was nice as can be and totally had great background on products....if you are a manly man and want real products, go here! This place is really cool. A large selection of quality mens apparel and accessories and a really friendly staff. The stuff in the store is a little more expensive but it isnt really an issue as it's totally worth it and it filters out the Vineyard Vine wearing high school kids that would normally buy this stuff out in an attempt to be fratty. What a cool store! We go to the Outer Banks every summer and these shops in Duck are a frequent stop. Untucked was one we saw for the first time this year, so obviously I had to check it out. The store is packed with Men's furnishings and accessories. Nice clothing - nothing like you'll find at Super Wings - hats, leather goods, knives, cigar accessories, shoes...you get the picture. The place is great! The guy that owned the shop was friendly and even looked up some info on the Calibri cigar cutter I bought to replace a Xikar I lost while I was vacationing. Ufh. This is one of those stores that has cool brands and some nice things. Because it has cool brands, it thinks it's really, really, really cool. It's okay, but it's less cool than it thinks it is. It's totally overpriced and disorganized, kind of pretentious and sniffy; the staff goes barefoot while working. 'Cause that's so cool. read more

This is one of the neatest walmart I've seen in a long time. .the employee where very nice and polite. There was a limited selection of women purchases and shoes, been that is a outer bank location they mostly had swim shoes We made s purchase at the jewelry counter and the clerk was very knowledgeable of the jewelry and quality of the diamonds merchandise.This is my vacation spot and I'm always making purchases at this location,fruit and veggie very fresh.The restrooms where to notch,clean and all supplies available didn't have to report to the manager for any reason. read more

A really cool little men's boutique--though they do have a small selection of women's clothing too. Their stuff was much nicer and way "younger" than most of the clothing stores in the area. Most places are all t-shirts, or boring polos. This place had some really cool boutique lines, and the guy working there was super friendly. He was very engaging without being at all pushy about getting us to buy something. My husband got a really cool hat, and if we had been inclined to spend some more $ there were a few other things he probably would have snagged. Whether you are lucky enough to frequent the Village of Duck or you just come once a year to the Outer banks, i would take the time to check out Untucked. Finally, there is a place on the Outer banks where men can purchase great quality clothes from a shop owner who is both knowledgeable and personable. From quality Peter Millar jackets and shirts, Southern Tide, Penguin, Vineyard Vines, Joe's Jeans, Ray Ban...the list goes on. We frequent Duck and I have honestly gotten to the point that I purchase most of my clothes from Untucked. I used to find many of these items in several higher-end shops at home, but now I can buy them in one place. While not overly large in size, Untucked offers a great selection and there always seems to be something new that catches my eye. The shop owner offers top notch customer service and has a strong passion for quality products. He has been extremely accommodating to my needs and has ordered in different sizes and products to aid in the selection process on a couple different occasions. I have also had good luck looking for gifts here for friends. I have ordered several of the Southern Tide Collegiate Series shirts and some of the French made knives. In fact I purchased a knife for a good friend who lives in Belgium and sent it to him only to find out that he had eyed the wood handled pocket knife on a recent trip into France and knew exactly where they were made. That tells you the type of quality that Untucked offers to its clients. Grab a cup of coffee from Ducks Cottage, let your wife shop at Life's a Beach Lily Pulitzer store, and then stroll on over to Untucked and treat yourself, you won't regret it! read more
