The large store/market is home to all sorts of trinkets, antiques, thrifted items and unique works of art. As you walk throughout the space each pocket and corner is filled to the brim with all sorts of gems. They have a large selection of women's clothing-- pants, dresses, sweaters and some really special vintage clothing items. You can also find shoes, handbags and jewelry. There are several different vendors all offering items within this one spot and there is really something for everyone! Bakeware, dishes and mugs from the 60s and 70s and loads of books and home decor. The prices are reasonable and if you look hard you can find some real steals! (Some of my best have been: a Dooney & Bourke bag for $40, Madewell t-shirts for $2 a piece) The staff here are always friendly, helpful and welcoming to visitors and those of us who are coming from out of state. Highly recommend a visit- but beware! You will need way more time than you think to see all that there is to offer in ReStyle Market.

The store is mainly packed full of trendy and typical beach souvenirs and clothing but there are some exceptions. I put the stacks of Salt Life, Fish Hippie and Simply Southern tshirts in the trendy/typical category. Some of the nicer items that caught my item were Yeti containers, Southern Tide menswear and Cobian flip flops. In the past I have been a big fan of Farmer's Daughters jewelry but that wasn't very shoppable this time around as it was hard to get to the cases. With the challenges that COVID-19 have created for small businesses I tried to give them a fair shake while vacationing in the Outer Banks for a few weeks but Farmer's Daughter left me disappointed. The store was just as cramped as ever with merchandise spilling over into the aisles. And the employees were less than welcoming. One employee pushed past me, literally, to get back to her restocking task at the jewelry counter. And the employee who rang me up only said four words - "twenty-seven seventy-four."

I wanted to see a necklace that was in a case, so I waited patiently until one of the two employees was available. When I asked if I could see it, the employee dramatically sighed and asked which one. I pointed it out, and she grabbed it, put it on the counter, and immediately started walking away. I had to get her attention again to ask what material it was. She responded, "Well, what does the tag say?" I looked at the other side of the tag, which had "gp" scribbled on it. She then said, with an annoyed tone, "Okay, so it's gold plated," as though I had asked some ridiculous question. Then she walked away again. The entire interaction was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was trying to purchase an item from the store. Instead, I was made to feel like I was bothering her simply by asking a question about something I was considering buying. I was so put off by the interaction that I didn't even want the necklace anymore. Why go out of your way to make a paying customer feel unwelcome for no apparent reason? I won't give my money to a business where the staff can't be bothered to treat customers with basic courtesy and respect. If you look at their Google reviews, the staff's attitude is a known issue. They apologize in response to reviews but make no adjustments. It's a shame for a store with such a nice selection and location to have the employees ruin the experience.

This old cottage has been a myriad of businesses over the years and is now a thrift shop selling clothing, housewares, toys, books and other odds and ends. I visited on a gloomy summer weekday and the parking lot and store were both packed. The store seemed like it was typically well organized but at the end of a busy day it was a bit messier than I expected. Ultimately I left with a vintage jigsaw puzzle and a book. The quality of the items seemed ok but I'm sure like all thrift shops, it's hit or miss and the treasure hunt is part of the excitement. The employees were friendly and the prices were fair.

Last June, on our anniversary, my hubby and I slipped down to the beach and stopped in, it's been over 50 years now. We bought six items of clothing, and I'm super pleased with all of them. The sweats for me (lovely willow color with a zippered crop top) look great on me, they're soft and wash well. I've worn the black cropped knit sweater many times, it really dresses me up. The hubster got three sweat shirts, and they all fit REALLY well. Not too snug, not too baggy. They look good, feel good, and wash well. We've planned a little day trip to the coast to add more of these quality clothes to our wardrobe.
