    Had dinner here Wednesday night on the recommendation of a couple of friends and it definitely did not disappoint. We had the nachos with pulled pork for an appetizer, then my husband had the ribeye with mac n cheese and honey glazed carrots and I had the filet mignon with garlic smashed potatoes and bacon jam brussel sprouts, both came with a salad as well. We really enjoyed being able to watch them prepare the food, and the food and service were excellent...we will definitely be back!!!

    This place is truly one of a kinda. A true hidden gem! I moved from the west coast to Illinois. I have lived in Reno, NV and Las Vegas, NV and traveled all around our beautiful country. Untamed Chef is truly amazing. Food is made RIGHT IN FRONT of you !!! The atmosphere feels as if you are in Rebekah's home and in her kitchen. Everything is made fresh and if you enjoy Bourbon. There are some good selections for you. Good assortment of beer and wine also. Looking forward to bringing family and friends!

    Drove by this place many times and finally decided to check it out. Glad I did. I had the "one love burger "for $13.99 which is a thick burger topped with smoked pulled pork bacon jam and whiskey barbecue it also comes with chips on the side. The burgers great, you get what you pay for. We also had the untamed nachos the $12.99 for the full order or $7.99 for half order. They make their own chips which are great and have pulled pork or grilled chicken on it along with a lot of other great stuff. We opted for the pulled pork and it did not let us down. We will probly get the half order next time or split the full order. Owner and chef (Rebecca)took care of us and was very friendly. I will be back and do recommend

    We went for lunch with our kids. So happy they are also open for dinner now! The new addition looks nice with nice paintings. Food was very tasty and the service was great. The pulled pork is highly recommended. We had the nachos with pulled pork, the tacos with pork and the avocado beef burger. Definitely come back again!

    12 out of 10! Just when I thought I had been to all the best places in Peoria ..... then I found Untamed Chef. Great service, amazing food. Bloody Mary is one of my favorites not just locally! Flavorful and all the extra touches. Becca has given her creation and business all the above and beyond that seems to be missing so often! Highly recommend!

    Worst experience for my family lunch after a funeral. I live out of town and wanted to plan a lunch for my family after my grandmothers funeral to help ease my mothers stress. I spoke with Rebekah the owner and and she was extremely nice and accommodating. I ended up renting what I was told was the main dining room and the outdoor patio. I explained, in detail what I wanted, banquet style as guest would arrive at different times and what the menu would be. I went with her recommendations which included a salad bar, I paid extra for the upgraded salad bar, ziti and meatballs and cheeseburgers, chicken strips and Mac and cheese for the kids and for the adults that didn't want the pasta. I asked for all of the food to be out when people arrived. Rebekah told me not to worry, she would make sure everything was perfect and that she caters events all of the time. I was under the impression that Rebekah would be at the restaurant during the event, as most owners would be when someone rents out the their restaurant for a large event. Fast forward to the lunch and all of sudden my phone is blowing up, my sister, my brother, my aunts are texting me saying they have been there for 30 minutes and they still didn't have drinks, the one and only waitress that was working the lunch had only addressed half of the guests. There was no food out, no one greeted them and told them where to go or what to do, they were left just guessing. This is the first time I texted Rebekah and she said don't worry I'll call now. I realized she wasn't even there, she had hired one waitress for an event of 30. After my phone continues to go off, I decide to call the restaurant myself and tell them to please get the food out. One tray of meatballs and ziti comes out for 30 people and what my family described as cold stale garlic bread. They were given paper plates and plastic silverware. When all the meatballs were gone, my family realized no more food was coming and half of them had not eaten. They started to order the cheeseburgers, Mac and cheese and chicken strips and the waitress told them no, they weren't allowed to eat from the kids menu. I specifically asked Rebekah to make sure anyone was able to order from the menu and paid for each guest to have what they wanted. The Mac and cheese was being made to order, which I still don't get if you're catering to that many people and my mother, who just buried her mother had to go and ask the chef for food for my family. The female chef was so rude to my mother, snapping at her and telling her she'll have to wait. It's been 45 minutes, half the guests don't have food, and are being told no they can't order and one cheeseburger came out for my nephew during this time. My father ate a bowl of cucumbers and that's all because he wanted other people to have food. Some of my family just left because they were so frustrated. My mother called me after to thank me and told me everything that had happened. I was embarrassed and so disappointed that after a funeral my family was treated like this after paying over $1,000 half the people didn't eat, my mother and aunt were disrespected, they never even were given the patio and I was told that a head count would be done so if not all the guests showed up any money left would go to my mother in a gift card. 25 people showed, only about 15 ate and I had to call the restaurant myself twice to handle the situation and my mother wasn't given any gift card. I was completely taken advantage of being out of state, I don't even care about the money as much as the way my family was treated after my grandmothers funeral. I'm adding photos of the plates my family ate and the chicken strips that were grilled, thin pieces of chicken with no seasoning on a toothpick. If I owned a restaurant and had been paid well to take care of guests, I would have been there to make sure it went perfectly, instead she understaffed, under prepared and never even came in to help when things started going wrong. I highly recommend you find another venue or caterer for any events.

    I love this place. It's small, yet big flavors and big personalities. You are greeted by the smells of homemade cooking when you open the door. The seating is great, there are small tables or a large table in the middle. Pick your seat. You can also eat outside if the weather permits. I have had many different meals from here. I have done brunch, lunch and take and bake! Now, if you asked me to pick my favorite things here is what I would I might suggest: Brunch: Queso eggs! Can I say YUM! Light fluffy and full of flavor! I have had them with the steak taco and the brisket taco! --let me tell you about her brisket! I love brisket but hers has got to be the best I have ever had. The smokey flavor along with the hint in tang from the sauce, makes it melt in your mouth. Oh and make sure you get the cinnamon sugar chips with the Carmel sauce (which Rebecca makes herself). These are crunch light and the carmel sauce, just adds that little extra kick of flavor!! Lunch: Her burgers are the best I have ever had and I have had some good burgers in my life. They are juicy but the flavor, it's something I have never had before. I am not a big meat eater, but I could eat her burgers daily. I always do the bacon quac with garlic aioli. It's perfect and the flavors compliment each other. Take and bake: one word...Sliders! We did the chicken parm sliders. I have a semi-picky child at home. He gobbled up 1/2 a pan in one meal. He said they were the best he has ever had. She gives you the instructions on how to cook/warm up the meal. I also have done her brisket dinner with honey glazed carrots and garlic smashed potatoes! I was so full and our meal for 2, was big enough for 3, if not 4 meals. Overall, I would highly recommend Chef Rebecca and her staff at Untamed Chef as a good place to eat! She has it all in one tiny little package

    Made a reservation for a large family and i figured there would be some hiccups, there were none! The wait staff was friendly and our orders were correct and were to the table in a timely manner.

They had given us so much that we figured we would hire an in home chef to cook them a spectacular meal. My sister found Chef Rogers online and we got very lucky. Immediately upon our first conversation Chef Rogers was dropped into exactly what we were looking for, how we wanted things to be, and the quality of the meal that we were looking for. So let's talk about the quality. THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. The meal consisted of tuna carpaccio (AMAZING), burrata (did not try), 45 day aged steak (so excellent) with whipped celery root (INCREDIBLE), and then a butter cake with macerated berries (HEAVENLY).
