I walked in with modest expectations, and I felt like Uncle Buck's managed to meet my expectations…read more The food is decent - nothing special, but a competently made shrimp po' boy sandwich. The prices were okay for a restaurant attached to a tourist attraction (go to Holy Crab just a few minutes to the west for much better seafood and more reasonable prices). The drink selection was decent, but a little pricy by Peoria standards. Still, everything was good enough that I don't regret stopping here even though the bowling lanes are kind of beat up. Since I went pretty early, I was ahead of the crowd, so service was fast and there was no wait for a lane. I certainly wasn't expecting PBA quality lanes, but these were in rough shape even by Budget Family Fun Center standards. The selection of beat up plastic house balls were about what you'd expect from a family bowling alley, and had fun designs on them. The oil was almost non existent on the right side of the lane, and patchy during most of the run. I switched to lefty, and had a better time. It's almost impossible to get consistent throws given the condition of the lane, but it was still fun just crashing pins for an hour. If you want better seafood, go to Holy Crab. If you want a significantly better bowling experience, absolutely go to Potter's Alley. But, if you have an hour to kill, and feel like knocking a few pins down during lunch, Uncle Buck's seems okay. I feel like I got my money's worth, their decor was pretty cool, and I picked up some cool stuff at the adjacent Bass Pro.

My wife and I do Sunday Morning Date Day which is bowling and went to Landmark until they closed,…read morethen Mt Hawley but sometimes they are closed/busy. Though I had never considered going to Tilted 10 as I expected it to be less than a real bowling center, I learned that the Master's League is now cycling it in and they are trying. With all of the video/arcade games in the facility, the atmosphere IS much like bowling inside of a Dave & Busters or Chuck E Cheese on a Saturday night as the lanes are not blocked off from all of the other chaos. When I am practicing alone this will never be an issue as I wear earbuds and listen to Spotify but when the wife and I bowl, it is a loud background noise. That said, I have been there twice now and find it to be a decent place to practice or have a good time with friends. When I went in today, knowing that I bowl league, he intentionally put me on a lane that had the most oil. That was nice though I am comfortable practicing on anything because you get better through challenge not being coddled. :) The scoring system has LOT of options available including skill games like Low Ball and such. The first time going there, the wife got chicken tenders and tater tots of some sort and said they were what you would expect. Edible but nothing that would make you come back just for them. Pricing isn't bad depending on how slow you are or how many people you have. They charge by the hour and my receipt shows $25.75 out the door. For me that isn't bad. Today I got 6 1/2 games in during that time or basically $4 a game. That is the same price (per game) I pay at Mt Hawley. From an equipment standpoint, they have really worked on making sure the equipment is running as it should and in 12+ games on 2 different lanes the only thing we had was 1 ball return call. Overall, the NON-bowling portion of it looks really nice. Lots of games and such, as well as indoor miniature golf that looks like a really nice setup. Staff has been pleasant and the manager is a bowler as well, so he gets what needs to be done and what is expected on that front.

I can't say much about the food because I've only had the pretzels with cheese, ice cream and soft…read moredrinks, but they were very good. I go for the arcade games which have degrees of difficulty. Some claws are set to a payout, so you have to hope that you are there when it is ready to pay out, others are set to skill, so I can win more often. I play quite a bit in the coin pushers, especially the Avengers. The prize area is nice and its prizes change almost weekly in my opinion. ALL of the staff is amazing! So helpful and nice. If there is a problem with a matching they are right there to fix it for you and have even given me extra swipes for the inconvenience. Tilted 10 has a nice layout with bowling mini golf and a small "bumper car" area near the back of the store. The restaurant is also located near the back of the store.
