This gas station is trash. The layout of the gas pumps with the poles around them make it feel like you're playing Frogger trying to get across the street, or playing Snake weaving around and over so you don't crash. Also, every gas pump here has a different sign like "87 gas only" or "racing fuel only". Not one has all gas types. As you make your way to one, you find yourself weaving around and over again to find one that actually has what you need. Additionally, all the drinks inside the gas station don't even have prices on them. In what world do we live where I pick out what I want to buy without getting to know the price first? Move along to a different place to fill up. read more

I bought racing gas at this station twice and both times they cheated me. I have 5 gallon gas containers that I fill with racing fuel and each time I went they didn't give me the full 10 gallons. I paid for if I had to pump this into my car I wouldn't know it, but because I used 5 gallon containers that I could measure I was able to determine that they cheated me out of a half a gallon of gas. I went back in and they actually gave me a half a gallon extra because of my complaint, but this is the second time it's happened. read more

This gas station sells 100 octane and you're going to pay what you have to when you need this product. With regard to price on other products sold at this location; this gas station is in a very high rent district, in a city that taxes excessively; and, has to pay more for delivery of products due to the additional time that it takes for delivery vehicles to deal with traffic. Furthermore, because this location is in such an expensive area, all other business/provider costs are higher as well. Because of these business conditions; the products sold at this location are going to cost more than if you were to purchase the same products at a gas station that does not have such exorbitant costs of operation. I made two mistakes yesterday. The first, I almost ran out of gas. The second, I stopped at this 76 gas station to fill up, a couple of miles from the 76 gas station I usually fill up at, but was afraid I wouldn't get to before running out of gas. Only after I filled up and looked at my receipt, did I realize my second error: I paid $3.99 a gallon for regular gas. Can you say, "Gouging?" How in the world does this place stay in business? The price they charge for gas is at least $0.60 cents a gallon more than the other highest priced gas stations in the area. As an example, the 76 Station I usually use (at Centinela and Palms and not the cheapest gas there is around) is $3.39 a gallon for gas, as I type this. Be smarter than me. This isn't really a review - ignore the stars - as I've never bought gas here. But I live nearby so it's the gas station I see the most often. And, with prices typically 25-50 cents above average for the area, it's really noticeable. First to break $4/gallon that I've seen in the United States, for example. You knew it was coming but seeing the "4" in the dollars place is still odd. "4"s don't belong there, right? But then again, neither did "3"s. And, a few years ago, I took a picture of the marquee when gas was a preposterous $2.76/gallon. Preposterous! I don't get why people buy gas here, and business seems pretty light, but somehow they've stayed in business for a long time now. Mob front, maybe? Another interesting thing about the place is that it sells "Racing Fuel." 100 of them octanes. I figure the place would be crawling with ricers, but nope, haven't seen much of them either. I wish i could give zero stars. I never leave reviews but this gas station sucks. They closed the inside at 9:50 when their sign says 10pm. There were at least 4 other people who pulled up the same time as me and we all knocked on the door. The female attendant came to the front saw us and turned off all the gas pumps so we weren't able to use our cards to get gas as well as cash inside. Every other time I come to this gas station its an issue. Theres always a sign that says "back in 5 minutes" when you come here, so you wont be let inside a lot of the time. read more

I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE -500 STARS. I heard several months ago that gas was on the way up. I heard that it would break $5.00 a gallon for the cheap stuff by summer. At this time I still had a truck and I traded it in for a Kia Soul weeks later. Last night I was in West L.A. for work, YUCK. I was on the search for a restroom and figured a gas station was a good bet. As I approached the gas station I saw their prices $4.99 for 91 octane and they offered racing fuel, whatever the heck that is. This 76 gas station also displays a sign underneath the 76 that they are owned and operated by CONOCO PHILLIPS who trades this morning at $74.40 a share. I am sorry if you are in West L.A. and offering to sell racing fuel which I later determined to be 100 octane gas based on a picture someone else posted you are a SHADDY business. If someone dies in a car crash because they were illegally racing you should be held responsible. OK back to the story. I walked into this gas station that had a food mart attached and even had a fountain in the parking lot and their restroom which looked perfectly fine had an 'Out of Order' sign displayed on the door. This place is the definition of GREED. This gas station is on you way toward the 10 & the 405 and this gas station is trying to screw the customer out of every penny they can get. If the word BOYCOTT ever fit a business this should be it. People should avoid going here for water, soda, food, gas, to use the bathroom, to say hello, to play the lottery etc etc etc. This place is disgusting. I'm a regular customer of this store, as I live in the area. I find it to be a reasonably priced gas station. Most of the attendants are pleasant. Several months ago, when I has having trouble opening the gas tank & asked for their help, they were helpful. I've never been to the bathroom here, but I'm glad to know that it's clean, in case I ever need to use it. All in all, I would say it's an okay station. I have seen some graffiti on the pumps in the past, but they seem to have taken care of that recently. read more

Needed Gas in the Smart Car. As the Smart Car fills up in like 7 gallons, I really don't track the prices. I got gas here - no problems and don't recall that the prices were bad. I give this place ZERO STARS. I will never go to a 76 station again. i don't care if i have to run out of gas and get towed. I recently went to this station.. nevermind their normal prices are jacked up.. on accident i pumped racing fuel into my 10 year old jetta. upon seeing the $100 gas charge for 10 gallons i went inside to complain. the owner/attendant actually LAUGHED at me and said i needed to pay more attention. said he'd stood there and watched me pump racing fuel. REALLY?@!? it never occurred to you to walk your lazy fat ass outside to stop me?? now they won't refund me the difference in the regular price of fuel. offered a stupid car wash ticket. i have asked twenty MEN about this and NONE of them had EVER heard of buying racing fuel at a normal station. sure NOW i see the barely different signage (it's orange). it is certainly not green like diesel and the pump is no different. and you don't see $9.99 listed on the big marquee anywhere!!! this is fraudulant!!! read more

I have to laugh at the girl reviewer who was hysterical that every male within a 100 mile radius didn't stop what they were doing to run over and ask whether or not she really wanted race fuel. Apparently, it's not enough to have a graphic stating "100 octane" above the pump and "race gas" nearby. No, Princess must have a separate colour pump to help her distinguish different grades of fuel. Princess must get personal attention from employees and customers alike. This is the problem too many women(girls) have in this town(country): They demand to be treated equally and not patronized yet they behave as spoiled, entitled children who expect preferential treatment and be handled with kid gloves. It's simple: You(Princess) weren't paying attention to either the grade of gas you were putting in your car nor the price listed on the display(because Daddy(sugar or real) likely pays). Yet instead of taking responsibility and admitting your negligence, you go and blame others for your own incompetence and then have the nerve to demand some sort of compensation. Here's the lesson for next time: When getting gas, get off the phone/texts, save the selfies for another occasion and look at what you're doing... Anyhow, while Unolocal race gas is slightly more expensive than competitors I give it 5 stars for their convenient placement of the race gas pump in the front where it belongs. This is a very popular item as there aren't many places to get it so it's understandable that they want to place it in a visible location.
