I call this gas station THE GAS TANKS STATION!
Amy S.

Best price in town ... premium under $5.00. Neighborhood gem... the people pumping gas who I see there are smiling! We are all in this together attitude and "yay" prices are coming down! So convenient...

Jie G.

One of the lowest gas prices in town other than Costco. Besides there are tanks always on display which makes an interesting trip lol.

This is the cheapest gas station I've run into unless you are a Costco member LOL! Corner of Sawtelle and National.

This is by far the cheapest gas in town. Right on the corner of Sawtelle and National! Thanks for not over charging like the rest of them!

It goes against logic and expectations but this 24 hour gas station right next to the 405S on ramp has the cheapest gas in the area. Got regular unleaded gas for $5.39 a gallon during price spikes - the highest right now being $6.79! The pumps are older but I don't care. It's about saving money. Same price for cash or credit. They have a big clean convenience store and car washes starting at $14.99. The station is on the corner of Sawtelle and National. Definitely coming back!

Inexpensive gas

SK Gasoline continues to show up on Gas Buddy as the least expensive gas in the area. On Friday at 2:20pm it was $4.19 and less costly than Costco. The employees were nice, store was clean and stocked, they have a bathroom, you can pay at pump with credit or debit and it's the same cost, no matter how you pay for your gas. I hate fees, so I'm a huge fan of that. Right by 405 and they have a car wash.

I like it a lot since they are offering same quality of gas with lesser price for it.

Scammers. They put a hold of $150 when you use a cc. Takes days to get your money back. Avoid this shi*hole

Today's total was close to a nearly upscale dinner and a movie back in pre-pandemic days. Is what it is. All I wanted was gasoline, no frequent customer rewards or other such deals, just gasoline. Too many prompts, too much glare on the pump's screen made my, what used to be a simple transaction, difficult. I'm not spoiled, a bougie Karen. I know how to pump self serve gas, complete the transaction. (I'm not afraid to get dirty either. Can do a DIY oil change, check tire pressure, change one if necessary, even assisted my ex in rebuilding an engine! Not as expert as Marisa Tomei in "My Cousin Vinny" but can hold my own when it comes to cars.) Completed filling the tank. BUT pump refused to spit out my receipt! At these prices, you better believe I want deduction proof for my CPA. Running late to my next appointment, on to the mini mart here which is clean, well stocked with sundries, cold/hot beverages, calorically incorrect but yum treats. Kindly gentleman at the helm after verifying my pump number, total purchase, quickly provided a receipt. We exchanged wishes for a good day and I was on my way and still on time...

And I got last minute (overpriced) eclipse glasses here. So that was nice. But my review is for the lottery players. They don't like winners. I'm blessed and highly favored so I have a fair share of luck. I'm given a hard time every single time I try to cash in. They moan and groan and outright refuse to pay anything over twenty dollars. To be fussed at for winning is crazy work. I like my vendors to be happy for me. There are so many other spots to play. If I play here I try to just use the machine. But honestly I don't recommend them because the vibes for the winners are negative. They'll take but don't want to give. You have a big machine with all kinds of scratchers. People put their hard earned money in there on a whim and a dream. And then get treated badly and sent elsewhere if they're lucky enough to get a return. They act like they have to pay out of their own pockets. Ridiculous.

Anyway! I bought that item it wasn't edible it was so stale. I frequent this gas station for gas, store items and the cookie spot inside. They would not take back the stale wafer and acted as if I was being unreasonable with the ask. Now that I've called their establishment twice and left a message I see why. They never called me back. They don't stand behind their products they sell. Hmmm I gotta a little research to do. Deal with this place at your own risk! I have stopped patronizing the store but gotta keep getting gas.

I understand the appeal--this station consistently offers some of the lowest gas prices in the area…read moreand has for years. That said, the independently-owned station across the street now matches those prices, and you won't find nearly the same level of chaos. This place is a disaster at nearly every hour of the day. It's poorly managed, with no visible effort to coordinate the flow of cars or maintain any sense of order. For reasons I can't begin to understand, people here treat the gas pump like a parking space. Whether they're wandering inside to load up on sugar bombs or disappearing into the restroom for extended visits, the result is the same: long lines and unnecessary delays. This location seems to attract the city's slowest, most oblivious residents--people who treat everyone else's time as disposable. It's a small but maddening reflection of a larger issue in our city: the growing disregard for basic courtesy. Here's a radical suggestion--fill up your tank and move on. Your personal errands and leisurely browsing can wait until you're not blocking others. Until that kind of awareness becomes common practice, I'll gladly give up my spot in line to someone with more patience than I have left.

Review #927 2025-105…read more It's been almost a decade since I've been to this Shell station, but I used to infrequently stop here en route home from Westwood because the prices were fairly competitive & it's near the 405 Fwy. I was meeting some friends for the movies when my car's low pressure light turned on, & the next exit happens to be by Shell. I parked by the air/water station to check my tires & they seem fine. The machine didn't have a separate tire pressure gauge to check the PSI; I needed 35 PSI (front) & 32 PSI (rear) for my car. Since I don't need to buy gas, I had to pay $3.00 for 5-mins. The instructions were relatively easy to follow, but I questioned its accuracy since it didn't beep or indicate when it reached the targeted PSI that I enter (modern ones stop automatically), especially on the passenger side when I can't read the gauge. When I was pumping air on the right side, it read at 40 PSI, which makes sense since I've been driving a few miles. Just to be sure, I went into the convenience store & ask for assistance. The attendant couldn't be bothered, but I said I think the machine might be a problem since the low pressure light was still showing after adjusting/lowering the PSI. After rudely telling me to wait because another customer cut in front of me for his car wash issue, he walked out & provided another 5-mins. of air & watched me put air in the front left tire. It was at 40 PSI, which was odd since it stopped during my initial attempt. I explained that to him, & he said just wait for it to reach 35 & walked away. I re-did all 4 tires & the low pressure light was still on. I was running tight on time, & didn't want to dispute the air/water station's accuracy after this 2nd attempt. It may not be the machine, but my car's sensor since the tires look properly inflated. I drove the rest of the way via streets at moderate speeds to minimize the risk of a blowout. Did you know? Since 01/2000, gas stations must provide free compressed air, water, & a pressure gauge during operating hours to paying (gas) customers. Most drivers don't know about this law & pay for air. In past visits, I didn't need assistance (whew!). And just like cellular service, everything's peachy keen until it's not, then you're in service hell just trying to get the service that you paid for. I'm quite put-off by Shell's lack of customer service & care for motorist safety. I doubt I'll be back here at this Shell station.

Most pumps still show signs of tampering. Car wash usually non-functional these days.read more
