Gas prices. Is what it is. Grateful to be working again. Gotta navigate. Petrol is a must so you, me, we all pay at the pump. Today's total was close to a nearly upscale dinner and a movie back in pre-pandemic days. Is what it is. All I wanted was gasoline, no frequent customer rewards or other such deals, just gasoline. Too many prompts, too much glare on the pump's screen made my, what used to be a simple transaction, difficult. I'm not spoiled, a bougie Karen. I know how to pump self serve gas, complete the transaction. (I'm not afraid to get dirty either. Can do a DIY oil change, check tire pressure, change one if necessary, even assisted my ex in rebuilding an engine! Not as expert as Marisa Tomei in "My Cousin Vinny" but can hold my own when it comes to cars.) Completed filling the tank. BUT pump refused to spit out my receipt! At these prices, you better believe I want deduction proof for my CPA. Running late to my next appointment, on to the mini mart here which is clean, well stocked with sundries, cold/hot beverages, calorically incorrect but yum treats. Obviously this place is a gas station so no much should be expected from them. The attendant so was disrespectful that I went out my way to go to the other Mobil on Santa Monica and Westwood. The cashier or owner is clearly someone who received no love in his life and grew up lonely and bitter and now takes out his frustration on failing in life on customers of his gas station. He will make you pay for air/water even though CA Law REQUIRES a gas station to provide free air and water with the purchase of gasoline. In addition, his air pump is broken and doesn't work. This station deserves to be reported and shut down, but it's unlikely this old grumpy guy will live much longer anyway. Pretty nice and clean as far as gas stations go. Really nice mini mart too - great selection of gum. Prices were pretty high for gas, but that's to be expected right now - not sure it has anything to do with this particular station. No parking spaces other than at the pumps. Definitely busy after work. On the corner so you can access it from either Westwood or Olympic. read more

Couldn't understand that I wanted to look at the pack of cigarettes before buying it, but this wasn't really the problem. I was given an absurdly rude attitude by the manager over not being able to give me change for $100 bill. The whole time he had the phone up to his ear and was talking to them and a coworker in a foreign language making me uncomfortable. This is probably the worst gas station I have been to in my whole life. I came here to get gas on my way home and it was pouring rain. I go to stick my card in and it says the card machine isn't working. It's like that for ALL pumps. I go inside and the guy goes it will be about 5 minute we are having technically problems. If i wasn't on E i would have gone else were i decided to wait. I wait for 10 minutes and finally the guy asks me for my pump number and i gave him my Mobil card. He asks me for my ID and i of course didn't have it cuz i had ran inside at the last second after the machine wasn't working and my purse was in the car. I told him i don't have it and I was more than happy to push in my zip code like I always do outside. At this point he got sassy with me and said "that's illegal this card probably isn't you, you can't just use a card with no ID!" Accusing me of it not being my card. At this point i was annoyed after my long wait and this rude man so i just told him i would go elsewhere. had the machine outside worked I would not had to deal with this man. Let me go walk out in the pouring rain AGAIN to get my ID. I've already spent more time than I've needed at this gas station. Won't be coming here again. This gas station is often a dollar more expensive per gallon than stations on Santa Monica Blvd. in the area or further east on pico Boulevard. The station is clean and well located. But it's rent must be higher or something, because stations on Pico near Overland or on Santa Monica Blvd between Sepulveda and Westwood are often a dollar less per gallon of gas. For twelve gallons, that adds up. For more, even more savings. Staff is so-so as well even to buy a lottery ticket you get some attitude. So great location, but buy elsewhere unless desperate.
