02/25/2020 At this location, you don't have to ask the attendant to turn on the air for you. It is free for everyone to use. Just don't park here or you will be towed. With the roads in Westwood, lots of cracks and bumps, I needed to check my tire pressure. Brightly lit at this gas station, I sat here for a bit since the street lights are so dim. This Chevron is the most poorly designed gas station I've ever been to. It's essentially an island, and it's so difficult to get around because you can't easily drive from one side of the gas station to the other. It's also really crowded because it's one of the few gas stations in the area, which makes it worse. People are backing up and going all sorts of directions in order to maneuver around this place. Prices are steep, but that is expected for the location. It's super convenient for me though, as I live less than 5 minutes away, so for me it is worth it to deal with the high prices and poorly designed lot. I also never see broken pumps, which is awesome. I've never been inside, but I believe they remodeled it. Visiting this Chevron is not pleasant, but if you live nearby, it's definitely worth it to come. read more

Omg. This gas station SUCKS. If you can hold out, go somewhere else. - pricey compared to other gas stations - everything is "out of order". Out of all the pumps they have, only a few work....and some only the 89 and 90 work - credit card machines are broken so you have to go inside (so inconvenient) - attendant is not friendly and couldn't process transaction twice. Basically a trip to the gas station which should've taken 5 minutes took about 15 and the price wasn't even worth it. SO NOT WORTH IT. read more

-100 stars. REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. The pump was not authorizing even though I used card. Went in and the cashier REFUSED to help me do it unless I had pump number even though car right in front of the door and I was pointing at it (not to mention only two cars at the whole station..). I then told him pump number and he said that it was waiting for me to authorize. I went back out and it still said pending auth... So I redid the whole thing wasting another 3 min.. In other words the cashier this morning (Saturday 7am) was purposely not being helpful and had a bad attitude so go else where bc the gas is off the roof expensive here anyways. I've never seen worse service at a gas station. I've been here before in the daytime to buy food and it's literally like night and day so it could just be the person. Not coming back unless I'm literally about to run out of gas to the last drop and I happen to be right in front of it! read more

At this point we are getting tired of the girl with the green hair at the cash register. My husband and I feel harassed by her. Last night, she refused to give me my ID back until the transaction was complete, sighting that "people have been stealing" --I reminded her I was alumni, not here to steal, and giving me MY ID back is my PROPERTY. This is night after night with her. She is rude, slow and sloppy. We are going to write management about her and will follow up to corporate until something is done about her. Always one of the pricier places to buy gas out here. Always busy as hell, always a line inside. They are the only game in the village for gas, so busy would be the norm. Not much inside, the usual beef jerky, bad gas station coffee, and bottled "naive" waters. The big win of this place isn't the gas or snacks inside, it's the free water/air station that they have. So since it's down the street from my place, I'll brave the crowd and grab some nitrate bars and go here anyway. read more

This Chevron gas station caters to UCLA students as well as those that work and/or live in the nearby area. Live most Chevron stations it is a bit pricey, especially being located near the 405. Due to the setup as well as traffic, it can be a pain to get in and out of. Comes in handy for those in need of gas before heading to Beverly Hills or Santa Monica. read more

This place is very packed. And it's hard to get into even though there are like three entrances. The air hose is broken pretty often, and the coffee they have is pretty bad, so just stick to the gas and go. But it's all we have in Westwood so I guess it'll have to do. read more

Literally pulled up for some gas and cigs and apparently I asked for the wrong pack of cigarettes in this neighborhood the Asian clerk wouldn't sell them to me or my friend cause of the homeless guy in the front pan handling for the same kind of cigs. Like other people have mentioned, this gas station is a pain to get into and out of. There are not that many pumps, and the lanes are so narrow that you literally need to wait for the car in front of you to finish fueling up and leave before you can pull out. Due to its mind-boggling inefficiency and relatively high prices, I would only come here in a pinch. read more

Honestly, who reviews a gas station? Well, I came here to fill up before I completely ran out of gas during a trip from San Diego to Fresno. The facilities are fine, it's just really, really busy. I think it took us 25 minutes to get in and get filled up. Had I not been 3 miles to empty I would have kept driving. I guess thats what happens when you don't fill up before you leave. The only saving grace is that there is an In-and-Out just across the street, so at least you can grab a burger while you wait for a pump to open up, although the Inn-and-Out is crazy busy too. read more

Want to wait a million hours to get in, pump your gas and get out (while praying for protection against any unwanted dents and love taps)? Then this is the gas station for you! Not only are the gas prices wallet draining, but the enter/exit driveways are an organizational nightmare! The entire place is like a triangle island with three different ways for cars to enter and exit. And because of this, it takes forever for you to get in and park in front of a pump. And once you figure that out, it also takes forever for you to get out! And with traffic hours in Westwood, might as well take a nap. Looking at the other reviews, it just reminds me of how spoiled folks are in West LA. I check gas prices around town all the time and this gas station, which is the only one in that UCLA close area, could easily gouge customers who don't want to drive down to the Mobil at Westwood and Santa Monica Blvd. but they don't. Pricing is competitive here. Also who has free air and water these days at a service station? No one. This station is the only one I've seen who offers this free anymore to their customers. They could charge like everyone else but they don't. So yes, it's sometimes crowded, but it's the lot shape, not the business's fault. A little too pricey in comparison to other places but I only use this to fill up the zipcars I rent so its fine. It is conveniently located close to where I live and offers free air and water so im not one to complain. Food is terrible though. So i would suggest eating at the in n out across the streets or the nearby restaurants around there. read more

I'll never review a gas station, but this place is HORRIBLE. I've been here twice, and the location and size of the station is just all wrong. It's so small that you will have trouble getting IN and OUT of the gas station. Basically everybody's honking at each other since you can't get out. Also, it seems like the gas pumps slower here. there is an absurdly low turnover rate at this station compared to others. Lastly, some credit card readers do not work. I tried going in to pay inside; however the staff is unfriendly and grumpy all the time. The lady working there basically skipped me since she didn't want to deal with my card. read more

The lot is a nightmare, but they have a free air pump that mostly works. Arco's is broken. Mobil's isn't free. Chevron's (on SMB and Westwood) is broken. AVOID THIS STATION AT ALL COSTS. THEY DEFRAUDED MY CARD AND ARE THE MOST DISHONEST PEOPLE YOU WILL EVER ENCOUNTER. Full story below, and what I sent to Chevron HQ: I could not believe how FRAUDULENT this station is. I charged ten dollars to my card and went out to the pump to find that it had not been activated. So, I went back in, and the cashier printed out some receipt saying that I HAD pumped ten dollars worth of gas. In reality, I hadn't pumped a drop. When I explained to him that there must be a mistake, he blatantly called me a liar and wouldn't help me out (he just said "Next" and helped the next person in line.) It gets worse, I then asked to speak to Manager. After explaining the situation to him, he said "oh, I'll take care of that for you. Let me see your card." I said, "No, you are not going to charge me again, just reset the pump." He said, "Oh, I'm actually going to void your last charge, swipe it again and we can start over." When I asked for a receipt proving that the last transaction had been voided, he told me that there weren't receipts for voided transactions (blatant lie) and that it went through. So, I checked my account today, and what do you know, those scumbags charged me TWICE. I plan on spreading the word to as many people as possible about this FRAUD and feel that someone from Chevron should call me immediately to sort this out. I am currently filing a dispute with my bank for the fraudulent charge. THIS PEOPLE ARE SCUMBAGS. STAY AWAY read more

Bad location and busy. Unfortunately, it's the only gas station in the area. It's in an awkward location that makes it difficult to get in and out of especially when it's busy. Several of the pumps were off; I don't know if they were broken or out of gas. If you have enough gas to make it to another gas station, then I recommend you do so. read more

I am currently disputing the case and will contact the gas station to assess their response. I always seem to be just about out of gas when I pull into this station, and I'm thankful its there. But it is the most difficult place to buy gas I've ever seen! There are entrances on three sides, which sound great, but I'm always withing a few feet of colliding with someone coming the opposite way. The lanes to buy the gas are very narrow, and the pumps seem like they 30 years old. It's a nightmare to get in or out - but its only station in Westwood. This gas station definitely has its highs and lows. It's located relatively close to UCLA and within walking distance from most if the off-campus housing. The inside is clean and looks new (not run-down like other gas stations). On the flip side, it can get busy and crowded during certain ones of the day, making a gas trip longer than it needs to be. Gas station from hell. Seriously avoid at all costs. I waited more than half an hour just to get gas and that's just the beginning. It's like all the idiots gather here and have no idea how to drive! The lot is strangely shaped and causes wide traffic blocks and it's crazy difficult getting out of the lot. Last but not least it's crawling with bums and I mean crawling. For AIR in your tire, this is the place to go. The location of the air:water machine is perfect, away from the pumps in and out convenience and it's FREE!! Truly free you don't even have to bother with the attendant, just push the button for service. I will definitely use this place next time I need air or water. read more
