Super nice and handled my dog really well! I have a Siberian husky and he's very tough to groom with but they did a splendid job, especially deshedding. After I brought him back, he shed for a very small amount compare to before, which was amazing! DEFINITELY recommend if your dog needs deshedding! read more

Unleashed is excellent and I highly recommend them. We had urgent needs for our labradoodle to be groomed immediately. They fit us in right away, were so nice and did a fabulous job with our dog. Our dog was calm when he came home which usually is not the case. They followed our requests for how we wanted his face to be shaped. He looked beautiful and we will come back again. read more

I had positive experiences in the past, but was disappointed on my last visit. I had booked an appointment for 3 PM. They have a 2-3 hour window for grooming appointments. Nearly every time I previously brought my pup in, she is ready in two hours or less. After checking her in, I confirmed pick up time. They said they could not guarantee a pick up in three hours as they were overbooked. Due to the inclement weather expected this weekend, they had moved several appointments to earlier today (Friday.) As a result they were running far behind. They were unable to commit to a time when she would be ready. Unfortunately, as I had plans to leave the city promptly at 6:30, I had to abandon my appointment. The most frustrating aspect of this was: 1.) They did not call to let me know they were running late, allowing me to make a decision in regards to bringing her in from home -- thereby avoiding an unnecessary trip to the groomers. 2) upon checking her in they did not mention anything, I has to specifically ask. Life is complicated enough in this city without me having to worry about my dog groomer's ability to keep their schedule. read more

I was so nervous bringing my dog to the groomer for the first time, but I was not disappointed! This place is awesome and when I picked up my dog he was in good spirits and looked and smelled great. Thankfully this place lived up to its good reviews. read more

Christina did a great job on my senior dog! Was easy to get an appointment and they have a great covid protocol. Highly recommend.

MariAnn is really great. I have been taking my dog there for over 10 years. Mariann is very patient and gentle. 5 stars!

I have been bringing my dog to Unleashed for about 10 years. I recently had a bit of a misunderstanding there and I would like everyone to know how hard the owner (Kim) worked to fix the situation. I really appreciated the fact that she went out of her way to make sure everything was right. She really does care about her business and about her customers. I have always been extremely pleased with the work they do... My dog looks wonderful! So... Thank you Kim. read more

Never fail to be wow-ed by the talented groomers and service at Unleashed. Kenny's summer haircut is a show stopper!

$300 for just bath, $120 for bath, $120 for de-matting, $40 tips...... Service is Ok which you can get from other grooming store but it is extremely pricey and they didn't tell the true price when you call to get a quote. read more

Again, Stacey had a ton of mats in her end-of-summer coat; we hadn't been able to brush her regularly, and the situation kind of got away from us. So I finally made an appointment with Unleashed ("Can you bring her in now?" "Sure!") I'm sure she isn't aware how cute she looks as a lion/tiger hybrid, and it will grow in pretty quickly; this time, I'm going to keep her brushed as her hair grows back--but if she gets matted again, this place is a godsend to have so close to me. I'll always recommend them. read more

Took my puppy Cereal for his fist grooming section last week and was very happy about the result. Cereal is Pomeranian with EXTREMELY long hair. Like the rest of you, I did tons of researches before putting my child on someone's hand. There is a couple doggie spa and groomer in my neighborhood but their rating are just soso. Since unleashed got such amazing reviews on Yelp, I decided to give it a try. Got an appointment 2 days prior visit and they took me exactly at 12. +1 star. The groomer was very nice and gave me a lot of suggestions on how to groom Cereal. +1 star. The groomer took her time with Cereal. She spent almost 2 hours on showering and brushing Cereal. Whole grooming section was around 2 and a half hours with no extra charge. +1 stars. I was very nervous and I literally stood there while they groom Cereal. They were cool with that. +1 star One thing very impressed me is the owner test new groomer WITH HER OWN DOG ,Chester, instead of customer's dog. +1 star You see, I could keep on and on and give this place a million stars. With a very decent price ($75 for small dog grooming, $10 teeth brushing +tips) you will get an amazing experience. Whoever live in this neighborhood, you are lucky. I will bring my doggie here every day if I were you. read more

We've been a customer of Unleashed for years and they're awesome. Those that handle the coordination of the appointments have always been super nice and helpful. We tried a few different groomers who all did a good job (no injury, solid job) before settling with Marco. We stuck with Marco (hopefully I'm spelling his name right?) to give our pomeranian-poodle mix consistency, but also because he is super nice and does an amazing job every time. He always nails both his summer and winter cut, and everything in between. I would highly recommend using Unleashed if you want a solid haircut and your pup well taken care of :) read more

This place is not O.K. In fact, this place is AWFUL. I can't believe that this place has a 4.5 star review, they definitely do not deserve it. I went to the shop to get my dog a nail trim, but had an absolutely terrible and horrifying experience. When we handed the dog over to the person, my dog was already afraid of the environment refusing to go into the room. The groomer DRAGGED my dog into the room awkwardly smiling at me. If that wasn't already bad enough, they treated her so roughly that she was shivering and crying and they didn't care at all. They didn't give her a treat or even tried to pet her to calm her down. First, they held her up too tight on the leash that my dog literally looked like she was about to pass out. Second, they don't even try to calm her down. Their way of calming down was to putting their hands on my dogs neck as if she was CHOKING my dog to "calm her down." At the moment I saw that, I was so petrified that I was left speechless. I immediately told the receptionist to get my dog out of the room, and told her about the groomers action. Her excuse was, "she's only holding her down on the shoulder to calm her down." Do you really think I don't know the difference between where the neck and the shoulders are? Do you really think grouping your hands around my dogs neck and forcefully trying to put her to the floor is a way of calming her down? I was shaking and crying myself because I felt really bad that I took my dog here by looking at the yelp review of 4.5 stars. If I felt that petrified myself, imagine how terrified my dog would have been. As soon as my dog came out, she was traumatized, shaking, and crying, that she couldn't even walk out of the room properly. They mistreated my dog, and didn't even say sorry for the actions that were being taken. This place is ridiculous, I don't even know why dog owners would take their loving pets here, or why places like this even exists. Overall, it was a horrible experience, and will never, ever return. I don't recommend anyone to come to this dreadful place. Thanks to them, my dog is now traumatized of getting her nails trimmed. read more

My two long-haired cats Cosmo and Luigi had terribly matted hair all over their bellies and bibs. I brought them to Unleashed for lion-cut shaves and was very nervous, as they had never been to a groomer before. The woman at the front desk was very friendly, professional, and reassuring. We met Sue, the groomer, who was equally reassuring and friendly and obviously a cat-lover. You could tell the staff was experienced and confident with their skills. I was very pleased when I picked up my babies; they were calm and happy, and the lion-cut shaves are absolutely adorable. It is very hard to find a place willing to groom cats, and this place provided excellent service and experience. Highly recommend. Thank you Sue! read more

This was my first time taking my Maltipoo Mylo to Unleash. My pup experience an unfortunate traumatic incident with his last groomer which made me very cautious. I am definitely making another appt in four to six weeks. Marina thank you for your professionalism is truly appreciate. read more

Wonderful spot on Avenue B that always makes my little guy shine. He also always leaves with the cutest bandana. It is pretty easy to get an appointment in advance. Sometimes he is done in 1.5 hours sometimes 3. . . .depends on the volume of dogs booked. I took my dog to get groomed here for the first time after reading all the reviews on Yelp. My old groomer retired and I was really nervous to trust a new groomer. I have to say I really appreciated everyone who works there, especially the owner for being so nice and caring about my dog. Even though he gave them such a hard time, had a major panic attack and even I got emotional, they took really good care of him and I will definitely go back. I can tell they really care about the dogs and the pet owners. I wanted someone I can trust and that's all I care about when it comes to a good groomer. Thank you Unleashed Spa! read more

Really a great experience! My yorkie can be nervous with grooming, but Unleashed took great care of him. I also got to discuss his cut and any extras with the person that would be grooming him. Ashely is patient, loving and detailed. After 5 years she's also no longer there. Soooo disappointed. I tried other groomer. I've been bringing my dog here since he was a pup, 14 years ago. They always do a great job and I have no complaints other than the fact that they just priced me out. $109 to groom a five pound dog. I'm sad to say that I just won't be able to return. read more

Brought my Aussie puppy Millie here for the self service wash station! Got to meet the owner Kim, who was super sweet and very informative! I didn't get Millie groomed but from what I can tell they would do a good job no matter what :) Also if your dog is a shaker and you're concerned about getting wet, don't be! They not only have tons of different scented soaps, useful brushes and a blow dryer but they also have a neat little waterproof apron to wear as well! Wagging Tails and Happy Grooming To You! Oh! And P.S. Don't forget to bring your vaccination papers with you as for safety of the other puppers they will check! read more

PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR DOGGIE HERE, i left my puppy here for grooming, never received a call to tell me he was ready and i could pick him up, when i got there he was tied up waiting with both eyes in blood and a cut on his body. The groomer (Ashley) didnt even make an explanation before i got someone to call her and ask, she just said "its just stress". Rushed Harvey to the vet and turns out he had a trauma because he was held too tight and suffocated. His eyes got swollen and his eye pressure permenately increased. He still doesnt let anyone touch is head... read more

While I spent the day at Spa Castle, Wookie spent the day at Unleashed. My total came out to $70.80. His total, for an hours-long groom that's dwarfed any salon services I've purchased for me: $74.76. This was my first ever pet-grooming experience - I didn't provide much instruction (nor am I too particular about the way my animal's hair looks) - only to "give him a puppy cut, and make it, you know, cute." After I picked my jaw up from the floor upon receiving the bill, I felt pleased with the result. Wookie was clean and fragrant (Unleashed practices dog "aromatherapy," whatever that means) and really adorable, in a new perky orange bandanna and a smart red leash. I'm talking 41 'likes' on Facebook. I'll try out one of the WIlliamsburg rivals to Unleashed, but I'd absolutely return, and recommend. read more

I am so happy that they are doing such a good business that they no longer need their old repeat customers. I tried to get my dog groomed the other day. But they were way too busy on the phone to pay any attention. Even after waiting about 10 minutes, I asked if they were opened. I was told as soon as she gets off the phone. How rude. They don't even have a phone with a hold button. So, I waited another 10 minutes and left. Sure, hope it was an important phone call. We will find a new place to go. read more

Marco always does a great job with Maggie! Maggie always looks great after. Will continue to come back.

I do not let anyone literally on this planet groom my furbaby except for Han at Unleashed! He is super awesome, professional, talented and obviously takes great pride in his work. My baby's name is Ramen and everytime he sees her he cries out "Noodles!" Eh, close enough. She's been going to him for grooming every several months for the past couple of years. Han always makes sure we leave 100% happy with the way every single hair on her body looks. She always smells like sweet strawberries and cream when he brings her out afterwards and has a sweet little surprise like bows in her hair or a fun tiny bandana around her neck. Ramen is not a fan of grooming but she sure is a fan of Han. Han also gives us grooming tips and have walked my husband through how to properly bathe Ramen. The owner Kim is awesome. She ensures only the best products like shampoos/conditioners are used. The entire spa is really clean and well-kept. The floor to ceiling glass doors allow customers to see everything going on in the grooming area while the area in front is a little shop of the cutest dog clothing, accessories, toys, etc. Again, Han rocks!!! read more

The owner called in the following day after she saw the post on yelp. She refunded the grooming fee. She also mailed us a check for the vet fee we spent on visiting our regular vet back home. Let me start by saying I'm one of those people who is very particular and finds something to complain about but I must say... Unleashed Spa exceeded my expectations. I brought my 4 month old morkie for his first haircut here. I did a lot of research trying to find the right place. Baxter got a short haircut for the summer and he looked adorable.
