I don't even know where to start but Severo is absolutely the best groomer we've ever used! Our pup, Oliver, looks forward to his appointments because Severo is so gentle with him. We're able to see him groom Oliver the entire time and he's so meticulous with his work. No groomer has ever been able to give Oliver a teddy bear look until Severo and we've been through countless of groomers! We look at photos from before and it's shocking how much younger Oliver now looks. 11/10 recommend!!!

Severo is amazing! He's a kind, gentle, patient & thorough groomer. My little Maltese puppy looks terrific, all thanks to Severo. I highly recommend him! He arrived on time with his grooming supplies - all you need to do is provide him the space! My puppy didn't need to be stressed at a grooming salon. I will definitely be using his services again in the near future.

I had a bad experience with shop grooming and was looking for someone who knew how to cut dogs with long hair well. Severo is fantastic at what he does and my dog took well to his gentle demeanor. Severo is simply fantastic! I found him on Yelp when looking for a groomer for my 2.5 lbs Pomeranian to come to our home after not so great experience having taken my dog to salon. My dog is very tiny and fragile, so I was beyond happy to see how Severo handles her with great care and attention. Severo is flexible when it comes to scheduling if given advance notice and makes exceptions on need basis which works very well with my busy travel schedule. He always arrives promptly and is very professional. I fully trust Severo with my dog and she loves him very much as he takes exceptionally good care of her. I highly recommend Severo and beyond grateful to have found him

DON'T USE THIS MAN! The first couple of times Severo groomed my dog I thought he was very good, kind and took his time. After that he was not only rough but also cut my dog in two areas; lying about one that I noticed. He said; " Doggie have dry skin". It was obviously done with a razor. The other area that was much worse was under his neck that I didn't see till the following day. Needless to say my dog was also traumatized. DON'T USE THIS GROOMER

We were SO beyond lucky to have found Severo! We used to take our dog to another groomer near where we live but when our Vet recommenced Severo and mentioned he made house calls, we wanted to give him a try. I texted him to see when he was available and he was able to schedule us on a weekend. We have 2 dogs - one is a 3 year old cavachon (Penny) and a bichpoo puppy (Pippa). We knew penny wouldn't be a problem since she's been groomed before and is such a people loving dog but we were a little nervous about Pippa bc she gets scared with new people and has anxiety. When Severo came, we were able to set him up at the pet grooming station our apartment has and all we needed to give him were some towels and he had all his tools/shampoos etc. When we first saw each dog, we were ecstatic bc they looked so cute and he was even able to calm pippa down when he first got started by massaging her head and making her feel comfortable. He really takes his time on each dog. We've used him multiple times and had him come on a weeknight at 4-5 and he'll leave at 10pm. His fee is very competitive and he comes to your door so it can't get any better! We couldn't be happier to have met Severo and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing groomer who will take his time and get to know your babies!

We had our first grooming session with Severo today. He did such a great job. It was my puppy's first grooming session and he took great care of her. He is very responsive and easy to book with and so great that he comes to your apartment. Highly recommend!

Severo has been our groomer for the past 2 years. We are so grateful to have found him! He is very talented and always makes our goldendoodle look absolutely adorable! Severo is the sweetest groomer, he is so kind and patient and treats her as if she was his own dog. He takes his time and does an extremely thorough job! And the most impressive part is that he always looks out for the dog's best interest and will make sure that they are completely comfortable.

I was dog-sitting for my friend and thought to treat the dog with a haircut as I could barely see her cute face anymore. I found this fantastic grommer from Yelp search and he agreed to give me same day appointment which was fantastic. He was very gentle and took good amount of time to finish the job perfectly. The picture speaks for itself :)

Severo has been a pet groomer for many years. He has worked in many pet grooming salons and still does. He makes house calls as well. He brings his own tools and stuff. All you need to provide him with is a bath towel and a table/countertop to groom your baby and sink/tub to bathe your baby. I have a 8yr old Maltese who is extremely nervous to go to groomers. He dreads it all the time. He was perfectly calm with Severo and patient with him while he did the whole grooming. Severo spoke to him the whole time that helped him calm down. He was also so gentle with my dog. My dog was in a perfectly good mood during and after the grooming. Usually he tried to bolt out of the grooming salon when I go to pick him up. You can or not be there during the grooming. I loved the look my baby had. Everything was very thorough and just the way I wanted it. He looked very handsome and got lotsa compliments. I highly recommend Severo! So does my dog!

Severo was prompt, professional and friendly. He was kind to my dog and gave her a great cut! We will definitely be using him again.

So done. Molly has…read morebeen getting groomed by Laura for eight years. She's an excellent groomer, but she is not great at running her business. Molly has had standing appointments every month, but they're not always followed up, and sometimes, I don't even know when her appointments are. I had expressed my concerns with Laura in the past. Last month, I was supposed to go away on vacation. We had already booked Molly's appointment before my vacation, so I wasn't concerned about it. I asked her for a status update on the day of, and she told me that she had moved her appointment date, and "sorry I didn't update." She didn't even ASK ME if this schedule change was okay to begin with! What the hell? Who is she to just move things around without asking me? When I expressed my frustration at the time, she gave me a very curt/dismissive reply. I called her out on it, then she blamed texting as the reason why it came off that way. Then guess what: work on your texting/communication skills, if that's the way you choose to communicate with your clients. Not to mention that whoever is helping her run the business side of things (Tammy) has been super rude. She even tried to get me to RETROACTIVELY sign a fuel surcharge document for the prior month, when this had never been discussed with me. All of her responses (via text) are super curt, dismissive, and rude. That air of superiority does not work for me. All of the negative reviews about the customer service are accurate. Things were so bad at that time that I texted Laura and said that while I've appreciated everything she had done for Molly, we were going to have to part ways. She and I discussed it, and I was convinced to stay with her. She told me about what she had been struggling with, and I was compassionate to her situation. Things got better for a bit, but not for long. That's the key issue with this place: there is a lack of consistency. Things look "better" for a bit and then drop back into the abyss. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back. Her truck needed servicing. I understand that those types of things are not predictable. Of course I would be understanding of this, but each month comes with some sort of issue. It's hard to consider this a "one off" when it happens more frequently than not. I expressed my frustration and she said she's apologized in the past. I told her that this is causing me anxiety each month. Getting my dog groomed, when her schedule is already booked, should not be this stressful. Her reply: "It is unfortunate that you feel that way. The only anxiety I had today was that I could get my truck repaired in time to not let my people down, and that it wasn't a giant bill. It is my hope that you feel better." It was clear from her response that she has no empathy for others, despite being someone who's used her own mental health issues as an excuse for her past transgressions. "The only anxiety that I had today..." part basically makes it seem like she's diminishing my feelings about being dismissed nearly on a MONTHLY BASIS. So apparently, it's only about herself. By her saying "it is unfortunate that you feel that way," it was clear that this is over and that this is completely irreparable. She takes zero ownership and had no insight into the fact that it's not just about today -- everything is additive and I have not seen things go smoothly for a long time. Apologies can only go so far. She also told me: "I agree that it would be nice if things always ran smoothly all the time, but sometimes we just have to roll with it." There's been a lot of back and forth for many years, a lot of schedule changes, a lot of Molly getting dropped from the schedule, lack of communication, etc. I had been loyal through all of it. I've BEEN rolling with it. Yes, of course it would be nice of your clients to be flexible from time to time... but it shouldn't be all the time. The tone of that also feels like she's asking ME to shoulder HER burden. Unfortunately, it is just time to part ways. They seem to charge a missed appointment fee if cancelling less than 48 hours in advance, and whole amount for no call, no show. Apparently, respect or this policy isn't a two way street. If you notice from other reviews, she's lost several loyal clients due to rudeness and lack of reliability. One of the other reviews says that they cancelled him 30 minutes prior to the appointment, using COVID as an excuse - and one of the groomers gave him a snarky reply: "I'm sorry this how you are reacting due to being rescheduled during a National crisis." It's these types of unwarranted, inappropriate, snarky remarks that I've gotten so used to from some of their people. This is clearly the norm of how they speak to people, which it shouldn't be. Perhaps she should spend more time on her business and less on her chickens.

Can't believe I have yet to review this wonderful business…read more Laura has been grooming my shih tzu Cooper every month for the last 6 or 7 years. We have used her when we lived in flatiron, Brooklyn heights and now park slope. She does an incredible job every time and is super knowledgeable about pet health and well being. Cooper has always had skin allergies and she often offers great resources and ideas. I initially switched to Laura from a store front groomer because I hated how crowded and chaotic the place would get. With hair of dog, your pooch gets one on one attention and is well taken care of. Especially great option for anxious dogs. The convenience of the groomer coming to you was an added bonus that I can never turn back from. Also love that Cooper always leaves with a cute new toy!
