    I have taken my yorkie puppy here twice. The first time for a bath she came back smelling delicious and in a cute outfit. The second time I got her the full groom and cut. She came back perfectly. They made me feel very comfortable with my pup in their care. I like that the bathing area is open to the street to see with windows. There's nothing to hide. Very clean and professional.

    Pupstudio, recommended to us by the head of our dog's rescue, Korean K9 Rescue, we were initially nervous bringing Rumi, a puppy mill rescue for his first NYC cut! The team, understood why we were nervous, but calmed all of our nerves after we met with Sofia, his groomer, to go over exactly what we wanted. One inch off, don't want him to look like a teddy bear, they asked every detail and utilized old photos of Rumi to capture. The team called, as soon as we were able to watch our boy begin his cut! As soon as we saw Sofia smiling and Rumi's tail wagging we were at ease! What a beautiful cut! We were even given a journal with a thoughtful note about Rumi's experience. Thank YOU! Joe & Deborah and Rumi! We will see you next month! High recommend you book an appointment!

    There's nothing like taking your dog for grooming and having them look exactly how you want! Today was Valentino's spa day, and his groomer Min did exactly what I asked for. Valentino came out happy because they always treat him with so much love, and I was even happier seeing the result and how beautiful he looked.     Since we came back to leave in the city a few years ago I have been trying yo find a groomer that will give my puppy a good hair cut. One was worse than the next. Finally I hit the Jackpot. My fur baby who is 14 years old came out looking like his old self when he was a puppy. It was amazing! I was jumping of joy and I could tell that he too felt that way and was prancing around showing off his beautiful hair cut. Thank you every one for being so nice and making my Lucky and me so happy. See soon.

    This was the worst grooming experience I've ever had. I picked Pupstudio based on the numerous five-star Yelp and Google reviews and was extremely disappointed after the fact. I anticipated paying the premium for a good groom for my Maltese puppy. However, he came out with a very choppy cut - lopsided ears, uneven chin fur, uneven snout fur that gives him a look akin to a handlebar mustache, and evident straight-line cuts in his body fur that resemble razor marks, rather than scissor work. Pupstudio boasts an incredible Instagram of well-groomed dogs, to which I showed the groomer two similar Malteses from their own portfolio (photos attached to this review as a reference). Both the groomer and another staff member (who acted as the groomer's translator) confirmed with me that she could recreate the look. I dropped him off and was informed that it would take about 3 hours to finish his full grooming. Upon picking him up, the first thing I noticed was that his body fur was extremely short. While I had asked for some length to be taken off, nearly almost all of his fur had been cut short. His chin fur was also drastically cut short and was choppy. We also did not receive a report card with any information about his groom upon checking out. Later on in the day, when I finally had a chance to sit with him on the couch, I noticed his ears were cut lopsided. His right side (my left) is more angular, while the his left side (my right) is more horizontal. While I could excuse a poor groom if I went to somewhere like PetSmart, there is no excuse for paying $160 (before tip) for a dog groom, only for my dog to come out looking like he was wearing a bad Party City wig. And before Pupstudio's staff replies to my review to try to say that the poor haircut was from a different groomer -- my dog's fur was cut so short that even 3 weeks later, it hasn't regrown enough yet for me to even consider seeing another groomer. If you're considering Pupstudio to be your new groomer, I hope you're reconsidering after reading my experience.

    Absolutely horrible job and a complete lack of professional integrity -- groomer left the dog looking like this, job half done. No dog should walk out of a real grooming salon looking like this. In my many years of owning a dog in the city, I have never had a dog left a groomer's looking like this. For $200 inclusive of tips, I have a half-groomed, half-finished dog. A couple other groomers in the neighborhood charge about the same, but the old school groomers know what they're doing and will never return a half-finished dog to the client. If the salon doesn't have properly trained, qualified staff or enough time to spend on individual dogs, they should not be providing the service.     This is a zen palace for our precious pups and even a delightful treat for the pet parents because the space is set up like an oasis and you feel transported from the bustling city streets while entering into this mecca of heaven for your dogs. From the new age classical music, separate lounge and entrance with specialized products, carriers, clothing and other top of the line accessories to the modern and contemporary designed playroom for day or night boarding it is a special sanctuary. Everything is managed with such meticulous details and professional staff is always accommodating and the technicians are so helpful that this is a completely unique experience. Each of the dogs are considered and handled with exceptional care as the staff will always take the time and dedication to make sure you and your adorable furry family friend are always taken care of.     I've always passed by the studio and I'm glad I finally took Benji to check it out! The staff really does an amazing job and asks a lot of questions ahead of time to find out exactly what you want for your dog. It is a full spa treatment that will leave your dog feeling pampered! Benji even got a notebook on his first day that described his before and after journey as well as how he was during his grooming. The staff took a photo of him (also gave him a bow on his neck) and added it to the notebook as a keepsake. It is definitely a little more on the pricier side vs other groomers, but for the job well done it's worth it.

    Was looking forward to this place based on the reviews and pictures of other dogs. For reference, my dog is a shih tzu who weights 19 pounds so i booked her for a full grooming - small dog (as I do at every other groomer). About 20 minutes after I left I received a text that she will be considered a medium dog and the price will be $30 extra. She was already there and in process so I said fine but they should have told me that prior. Then we went to pick her up and they said usually new clients get a book with their picture and progress but "ran out of them". Definitely not the best haircut she has gotten and double the price of what I usually pay. Also they went a little close and irritated her. Definitely wont be coming back. Edit: I love that they are now claiming that the picture I posted 3 minutes after we got home from their facility "wasn't from them". It just magically happened in like 3 mins we got home? A big irritation and a clearly unfinished trimming job on that paw. WEIRD!

    A bit pricey, but totally worth it. It's hard to find a groomer who really knows how to cut a mini Bernedoodle, and they do a good job there

    So done. Molly has…read morebeen getting groomed by Laura for eight years. She's an excellent groomer, but she is not great at running her business. Molly has had standing appointments every month, but they're not always followed up, and sometimes, I don't even know when her appointments are. I had expressed my concerns with Laura in the past. Last month, I was supposed to go away on vacation. We had already booked Molly's appointment before my vacation, so I wasn't concerned about it. I asked her for a status update on the day of, and she told me that she had moved her appointment date, and "sorry I didn't update." She didn't even ASK ME if this schedule change was okay to begin with! What the hell? Who is she to just move things around without asking me? When I expressed my frustration at the time, she gave me a very curt/dismissive reply. I called her out on it, then she blamed texting as the reason why it came off that way. Then guess what: work on your texting/communication skills, if that's the way you choose to communicate with your clients. Not to mention that whoever is helping her run the business side of things (Tammy) has been super rude. She even tried to get me to RETROACTIVELY sign a fuel surcharge document for the prior month, when this had never been discussed with me. All of her responses (via text) are super curt, dismissive, and rude. That air of superiority does not work for me. All of the negative reviews about the customer service are accurate. Things were so bad at that time that I texted Laura and said that while I've appreciated everything she had done for Molly, we were going to have to part ways. She and I discussed it, and I was convinced to stay with her. She told me about what she had been struggling with, and I was compassionate to her situation. Things got better for a bit, but not for long. That's the key issue with this place: there is a lack of consistency. Things look "better" for a bit and then drop back into the abyss. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back. Her truck needed servicing. I understand that those types of things are not predictable. Of course I would be understanding of this, but each month comes with some sort of issue. It's hard to consider this a "one off" when it happens more frequently than not. I expressed my frustration and she said she's apologized in the past. I told her that this is causing me anxiety each month. Getting my dog groomed, when her schedule is already booked, should not be this stressful. Her reply: "It is unfortunate that you feel that way. The only anxiety I had today was that I could get my truck repaired in time to not let my people down, and that it wasn't a giant bill. It is my hope that you feel better." It was clear from her response that she has no empathy for others, despite being someone who's used her own mental health issues as an excuse for her past transgressions. "The only anxiety that I had today..." part basically makes it seem like she's diminishing my feelings about being dismissed nearly on a MONTHLY BASIS. So apparently, it's only about herself. By her saying "it is unfortunate that you feel that way," it was clear that this is over and that this is completely irreparable. She takes zero ownership and had no insight into the fact that it's not just about today -- everything is additive and I have not seen things go smoothly for a long time. Apologies can only go so far. She also told me: "I agree that it would be nice if things always ran smoothly all the time, but sometimes we just have to roll with it." There's been a lot of back and forth for many years, a lot of schedule changes, a lot of Molly getting dropped from the schedule, lack of communication, etc. I had been loyal through all of it. I've BEEN rolling with it. Yes, of course it would be nice of your clients to be flexible from time to time... but it shouldn't be all the time. The tone of that also feels like she's asking ME to shoulder HER burden. Unfortunately, it is just time to part ways. They seem to charge a missed appointment fee if cancelling less than 48 hours in advance, and whole amount for no call, no show. Apparently, respect or this policy isn't a two way street. If you notice from other reviews, she's lost several loyal clients due to rudeness and lack of reliability. One of the other reviews says that they cancelled him 30 minutes prior to the appointment, using COVID as an excuse - and one of the groomers gave him a snarky reply: "I'm sorry this how you are reacting due to being rescheduled during a National crisis." It's these types of unwarranted, inappropriate, snarky remarks that I've gotten so used to from some of their people. This is clearly the norm of how they speak to people, which it shouldn't be. Perhaps she should spend more time on her business and less on her chickens.

We have used her when we lived in flatiron, Brooklyn heights and now park slope. She does an incredible job every time and is super knowledgeable about pet health and well being. Cooper has always had skin allergies and she often offers great resources and ideas. I initially switched to Laura from a store front groomer because I hated how crowded and chaotic the place would get. With hair of dog, your pooch gets one on one attention and is well taken care of. Especially great option for anxious dogs. The convenience of the groomer coming to you was an added bonus that I can never turn back from. Also love that Cooper always leaves with a cute new toy!
