Despite previously agreeing to use my specific shampoo and conditioner to prevent the severe tangling we experienced during our last session, Maria insisted on using her own conditioner during this second appointment, stating she "knew best." It felt as though my insights into my own pet's needs were dismissed, despite the fact that I had already handled his ears and nails to make her job easier. The most disappointing part of the experience was the billing. Because I stood my ground on using the products my senior cat requires, the service did not proceed. Despite the fact that I was home and ready for the appointment, Maria charged me her full "no-show/late cancellation" fee. Being penalized with a cancellation fee when I was present and simply asking for a previously agreed-upon care plan felt very unfair. Maria is undoubtedly a skilled groomer for standard clips, but I would suggest she be more open to owner requests for special-needs pets.
