I take 2 mini Bernedoodles to Espy every 4 weeks. She does amazing work and is very detailed. Very pleased with all the services and prices.

Mario gave Louis one of his best haircuts ever! Louis has been searching for a new dog groomer and needed a haircut. Mario did a great job with Louis considering his hair was a little longer than usual.

She's loving the bone we got her at Unleashed.

I kind of don't want to leave this review because I want to keep Espy and the Unleashed by Petco crew to myself.

Their whole staff is great at working with my dogs for daily kennel and long term boarding.read more

Are they under new ownership? What has changed?…read more We've used Camp Run-A-Mutt several times over the years for overnight boarding and have always had a great experience, which is why this recent stay was so surprising. When making the reservation, I noticed that a few of my dog's vaccinations would expire during his stay. We took care of getting them updated weeks in advance and made sure the vaccination certificates were sent to Camp Run-A-Mutt. I even confirmed with a staff member at the front desk that they had received everything and that my dog was all set for his stay. A few days before our trip, I received a call saying my dog was missing vaccinations. I asked which ones, and of course they were the very vaccinations we had already updated and submitted. I explained that they had the records, the employee put me on hold, then came back and confirmed everything was in order and said they'd see him on Thursday. Then things got even more frustrating. On Thursday, as I was landing in another state for my vacation, my daughter--who was dropping my dog off before catching her own flight--called me in a panic. She was being told they couldn't accept him because his rabies vaccine wasn't up to date. I immediately called the facility and explained that we had already confirmed his records twice. The employee put me on hold, checked the records, and sure enough, they had his current rabies certificate the entire time. They admitted everything was up to date and accepted him. A few days later, while we were still out of state, I received another call saying my dog was being quarantined and separated from the other dogs because his vaccinations supposedly weren't current. At this point, this was the third time in less than a week that the exact same issue had come up. I again explained that his vaccinations were current and that their staff had already confirmed this multiple times. The employee put me on hold and never came back to the phone. Thankfully, my daughter was only a few hours away and was able to rush over and pick him up. When I called to pay for his stay over the phone and let them know he was being picked up, I was initially told they couldn't accept payment over the phone. That was confusing because I've paid over the phone for previous stays without any issue. When I asked if it was a new policy, the employee admitted it wasn't--they just didn't know how to process a phone payment. They had to get someone else to help before I was finally able to pay. I'm honestly not sure what's changed, but the organization and communication were completely different from the excellent service we've received in the past. The repeated confusion over vaccination records--which they already had on file and repeatedly confirmed--caused unnecessary stress while my family was traveling out of state and ultimately resulted in our dog being removed from daycare and picked up early. We've always been happy with Camp Run-A-Mutt, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I hope this was just an isolated breakdown in communication, but based on our recent experience, I no longer feel confident leaving my dog there.

As first-time dog owners, the early support really did help us. Having someone we could call during those overwhelming first months was a relief. Over time, though, I realized I was hoping the training would shift toward more positive reinforcement. The constant, harsher corrections worked at first but eventually didn't seem effective anymore and started affecting my relationship with Mimi. I noticed this during a family trip where Mimi, who is usually fearful of strangers, bonded more easily with my husband and his family. She gravitated toward them when scared, and I realized it might be because they weren't following the correction-heavy approach, while I was. I also asked for help with Mimi's fear and reactivity toward other dogs, but was told they didn't have dogs available for training and that I would need to bring a calm, socialized dog myself. As a non-trainer, that was very hard, but we tried by traveling many hours to introduce her to my husband's family dog. The experience ended up being chaotic since the family didn't fully understand what the process required, and new people and dogs kept appearing even though Mimi wasn't ready. Her reactivity came back in that environment, which made me feel like the training had only put a bandaid on deeper fear issues. Maybe I should have clarified expectations better from the start, but with a high-need dog and being new to all of this, I didn't know what to expect. Since then, we've switched to a positive reinforcement trainer who organizes structured group activities. Mimi is still scared of bigger dogs and can still be reactive, but she's improving slowly and has been able to meet a few smaller dogs. She's also still fearful of people, but she nips a lot less now, so progress is happening. Overall, Bark Busters helped us in the beginning, but long-term we found that a different, more positive approach has been a better fit for Mimi.

There are groomers, and then there are people like Espy…read more From the very first appointment, I could tell that grooming isn't just a job for her--it's something she genuinely cares about. She has such a calm, compassionate spirit, and animals can feel that. My Maltipoo, Micah, completely trusts her, and as a dog mom, that means everything to me. Micah is relaxed when he's with Espy, and that gives me so much peace of mind. She takes her time, handles him with patience and kindness, and always makes sure he's comfortable throughout the entire grooming process. You can tell she sees each pet as an individual, not just another appointment on the schedule. Every time I pick Micah up, he not only looks absolutely adorable, but he also seems happy, confident, and well cared for. That speaks volumes about the environment Espy creates. Trust is earned, and Espy has earned ours completely. If you're looking for someone who will love and care for your fur baby as if they were her own, I cannot recommend Espy enough. Her gentle heart, professionalism, and genuine love for animals shine through in everything she does. Thank you, Espy, for taking such incredible care of Micah. We're so grateful to have found you.

Another tip: if you have a hairy dog like ours, I'd suggest brushing them before the wash and after since it helps de-hair them. We've taken our medium size dog to this wash for almost a year and it's been great. There's always a wash available. They provide: shampoo, hair brush, pink scrub brush, aprons and towels. We'll bring in our our shampoo and towels. And we'll buy the pup-friendly cookies to give our dog as motivation to stay happy throughout the bath. Overall, we're happy with this service and my only complaint is that they'd offer later hours on weekdays.
