I have only great things to say about the front desk and its doctors and P.A.'s, and phlebotomist. My experience at High Mountain Health on Parish Dr. has been very pleasant. The only reason I give it 4 stars is cause you do have to wait to be seen but come on people, what doctors office on this planet do you NOT HAVE a wait. But let me just say these doctors and P.A.s spend time with you. They play close attention to your condition and make sure to follow up, either they follow up or have their M.A. call to follow up with you. If for any reason they can't accommodate you they do refer you to their office on Hamburg Turnpike which does provide great service as well. I love this place and DO NOT PLAN on switching doctors. I can understand this office has changed staff members and doctors at some point through out the years, so understandably NOT everyone will be thrilled with their visit or have had a positive experience in the past but if you have nothing NICE to say then keep it moving people. Thank You to everyone at High Mountain on Parish Drive for always making it so pleasant for me to visit.

There were no toys or activities for children in the waiting room, only a TV playing an endless infomercial for "male supplements." Suspiciously there were no other children or parents present in the waiting room - or anywhere else it seemed - and yet the waits between seeing the nurse and then the doctor and then the nurse again were strangely long. All of this would have been annoying but acceptable had all gone well with the doctor. Unfortunately we were given Dr. Papadopoulos. I understand that doctors now have to focus on filling in all the blanks on their computers, and I was happy to forgive the lack of eye contact or human warmth until the following incident occurred: She asked me if I had a vaginal birth. I answered, with a smile and a laugh "Oh yes, I DEFINITELY did." (My daughter is 4 months old - I remember it well.) She asked me the birthweight. I went to check my notes. (I couldn't remember if it was 6.7 lbs or 6.9 lbs.) She asked me if my daughter had some kind of photo-something test at birth. "I'm sorry, I'm not sure," I said. With a straight face and a disapproving tone she said, "Was she adopted?" I was so stunned and offended I didn't quite know what to say. "No," I finally answered. She continued to go through the questions. Five minutes later she says, without looking at me, "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." All I could manage was, "Well, you did. Perhaps it will pass." What if I was the kind of new mom who was unsure about her parenting? What if I was the kind of new mom who had post-parnum depression? Saying something like that to a sensitive person could really scar someone. Frankly I have never experienced such a lack of human connection or empathy with a doctor. I'm amazed this woman has survived in this practice. I know I for one won't be returning. And I hope anyone who reads this will think twice before subjecting themselves to the "care" of Dr. Papadopoulos.

Dr. Gruczynski, sole practitioner at North Wayne Pediatrics, was the pediatrician to my two…read morechildren from when they were born at Chilton until ages 4 years and 23 months old. As a physical I respect his medical advice and agree with his care. Often short and to the point he stood by his decisions and is confident. That said, I wouldn't have ever imagined severing ties after four years over my request for clarification over an invoice. First and foremost, as I write this, they owe me money (I have a credit with them) - I ALWAYS PAID WHATEVER THEY REQUESTED. Their invoicing is very disorganized and hard to decipher and often unpredictable. When I would ask for clarification the billing manager would immediately become argumentative, loud and embarrassing. After one of these occurrences, Dr. Gruczynski called me to reprimand me for questioning their invoicing and I explained but it didn't resolve much. I dreaded going into the office and unfortunately this scenario where I am confused about their method of recording charges/payments/balance due and initiating dialog to discuss turns into the billing manager coming unglued and confused. The receptionists often would roll their eyes in distain for how the billing person behaved and often apologized to me for her behavior. To mitigate issues with this women I began writing upon each visit for more than our co-pay; I wrote checks for the full amount of service. Hundred/s of dollars at a time. And I carried a credit. Our last appointment; my child has an appointment and I arrive holding an invoice I received in the mail that morning which is configured like an unsolved Rubix's Cube with the obligatory check in hand. I ask for clarification and the billing manger begins arguing. I am not saying much and I am certainly minding the tone of my voice. Long story short, Dr. Gruczynski comes out and reprimands me for having an issue with their bill, I asked him if he understood the documents, his office's billing/invoicing documents and he said "no". At this point my husband is fuming, I am in tears, my 4 year old is crying and I offered to leave at which point the doctor agreed and we mutually agreed to not return to his office. I am devastated that after four years and ALWAYS paying whatever they asked (and more) this doctor would stop caring for my children. As a result of this incident, I now have zero respect for Dr. Gruczynski as a medical professional or person of my community!

When my daughter Grace was 4 months old we noticed a small bulge under her left eye and we were not to concerned but we took her to dr. Gruczynski any way. He examined her and thought it was probably not serious but he insisted we take her that day to get a X-ray which did not reveal anything either Doctor Gruczynski was not convinced and ordered an mri for that day...again. The doctor asked for immediate results rather than the standard at that time 1.5 Days. After receiving the results there was and indication of a mass of sum sort which still was not serious but we (including doctor Gruczynski)were concerned. He called a few of his colleagues and after a few other calls he made us an appointment to see a specialist in the field of pediatric oncology again...for that day. After now the late hour the doctor.at Hackensack hospital after viewing the many test results realized there maybe a need for a biopsy with dr Gruczynski still involved he recommended an immediate one. To make a very long ordeal short it was concluded (by a group of 5or 6) oncologists that if not for Doctor Gruczynski's passionate and rapid actions her rare aggressive vascular tumor would have cost her sight. The surgery was performed on Palm Sunday of 2004 and I am happy to say that she is cancer free and very heathy. There is no amount of money that can every repay our gratitude to Doctor Gruczynski (and to our Lord and savior of course). In days like ours today it is difficult to find doctors which have compassion as well as great medical knowledge.

When your patients are exclusively children and adolescents, the level of difficulty increases geometrically -- along with the decibel level. Dr. Ghavami has somehow figured out how to master his difficult calling -- approaching each of his patients with kindness, humor and a gentle but highly skilled hand. He has been our sons' pediatrician for almost 18 years and we never looked elsewhere. His diagnostics are spot on, and he and his wonderful staff (thank you Connie) are like family. In an era where quality medical care is hard to come by if you don't have lots of cash to throw around, and medical practice groups resemble a revolving door, it is refreshing to deal with a solo practitioner like Dr. Ghavami. He takes pride in his work and resists being gobbled up by large practice management conglomerates. This means that in this medical practice, you always see the same doctor and he remembers you and your children by name and takes his time solving your medical issues. Highly recommended!

I loved the online wait list feature that allows you to see how many people are ahead. My son loved that Peppa Pig was playing in the waiting area. We got called in a few minutes before our appointment time. The facility is nice and clean. There was a small TV in the room which we appreciated. The doctor (or PA - not sure) was SO good with my son. He was cranky because he's sick but he was super calm and cooperative with her which is not common at the doctor's office.
